Chapter 15 ~ Say It Again

Third Person’s POV ~

Aurora and the girls had thrown together a beautiful ceremony. The decorations and twinkle lights lined the garden.. Adrianna had found a beautiful dress in ivory silk.. the girls styled her hair in soft beachy waves that had all four colors winding together in harmony. Aurora had done her makeup.

Abram and Zander arrived an hour before the ceremony..spending most of that calming Evander down. He was so nervous, he kept feeling like he was going to throw up.

Draco had decided the press conference would wait until after the mating ceremony, so Adrianna had the full support of the royal family behind her. They are planning on presenting a united front to the press.

When it was time to begin the ceremony, Adrianna was practically bouncing. Her father knocked on her door, and as she opened it, Abram’s breath caught “You are so beautiful, my girl! I lost so much time with you.”

Adrianna held him close and whispered “And I, you.. I missed Zander growing up.. I missed Momma. But, we have here and now. And we have to make the most of it. The humans stole our time.. they didn’t break our bond. I love you, Daddy, so much!”

As they walked down the aisle, Adrianna’s eyes sought Zander, first.. spotting him, she smiled and winked. His face lit up, realizing he was still as important to his big sister. He smiled back, even as his eyes teared.

Then, she saw her mate.. looking at her like she had hung the moon.. and it dawned on her.. She had given him her heart.. surrendered it to his safekeeping. A warmth filled her like nothing she had ever felt.

Abram handed her over to Evander and told him “I’m not above trying to kick your ass, if you ever hurt her.” He smiled at his new son and Evander said “I don’t have it in me to hurt her.. I love her, Dad! She is my everything!”

Draco performed the ceremony.. and Adrianna swore her loyalty to Draconium and her Alpha. Their sliced palms clasped and she felt her bond snap from Luna Lake, just as her bond with Draconium seated.

Then he turned her to him, kissing her deeply. When he pulled away, he lifted her so her legs wrapped around his waist.. he whispered “We mark together!” She grinned and nodded..

Evander extended both sets of his beasts’ teeth.. apologizing, he sank them into her shoulder, just as Sadie’s found their mark. She groaned.. then moaned.. a tattoo burned its way across her shoulder and down her upper arm..

It was absolutely beautiful.. flowers and vines entertwined around the replica of Argon’s head.. in all the beautiful colors that had changed her hair.

Aurora smacked Draco’s arm and said “I am so jealous! My mark is done in black and shaded.. Her’s is vibrant and alive! Look at Argon’s scales! They shine in the moonlight! UGH! Damnit!” Causing everyone to laugh.

Draco apologized profusely “I’m sorry, baby! I am! But, I think it has to do with her altered DNA.. the colors are the same” Aurora looked more closely and told him “Ohh! You’re right! Okay, you’re off the hook!”

Evander led a short pack run.. too eager to dance with his bride. Which he did.. several songs. He stood back, watching her dance with her father.. then her brother. Then Ada and Riki drug her back to the dance floor to teach her something called the ‘Cupid Shuffle’ but mostly, she just laughed.

Evander had finally gotten her alone. He slipped her gown off, slowly kissing her. As they laid down beside each other, she said “I have never done this before” He whispered “Me either, baby. We will learn together.”

As he made love to her, into the early morning hours.. they learned.. They definitely learned. They taught each other everything there was to know about their bodies. What felt good.. what they weren’t too fond of.

Her body flowed with his.. moving in sync with one another. As he entered her for the third time, she arched into him and moaned.. “Goddess, Evander. You literally complete me. I never knew it could be like this.”

Evander followed her over the edge.. once more.. and collapsed beside her, catching his breath. Within minutes, he had risen and filled the tub with warm, bubble filled water. He lifted her into his arms, and situated them both in the suds.. Carefully and thoroughly, he laved her silky skin.. relaxing her entire body. He knew she was sore and wanted her to know, he would always take care of her. Showing her how much he loved her, in his gentleness.

She sighed into him, and allowed her body to melt and relished in the feel of his skin against hers. She whispered “I hold your heart inside me.. and so, I gladly surrender mine to you.. handing it to you.. to protect and shelter it, in your love. I love you, Evander. I want you to be the guardian of my heart. I trust you to not break me. I love you. Completely!”

A tear rolled down his cheek.. as his entire body sighed into her and he said “Say it again. I need to hear it.. every day.. for the rest of my life. Please.. say it again.”
