Hero Dyes - Blue
All For Love

Yosin, Son of the Sage: After my frightening vision of the Dark Geminis I proceeded towards Bridget’s chamber. Before I even reached the door I suddenly heard a faint sound from behind me. I quickly turned around and confirmed that my hearing was right. It was footsteps. The owner of these footsteps was an elegant woman walking down the hall. It looked like she just came out of Bridget’s room but, how can that be if she never passed by me?

“Excuse me!” I called, which startled her as she began to look around. She turned around and looked right into my eyes, then kept searching for whoever called her.

“Hey! Over here!” I shouted again. This made her look in my direction again and squint her eyes as if trying to see where my voice was coming from. I finally concluded that she couldn’t see me, yet my voice was reaching her somehow. I soon realized she came to the same conclusion as she slowly waved her hand while saying something. Within seconds a thin glass-like wall in front of me began to crack and soon shattered. Once the illusion barrier came down she finally saw me and raised a questioning eyebrow.

“Are you, Yosin?” She asked, to which I simply nodded my head and walked a bit closer to her. Before we could greet each other properly Bridget’s screams could be heard from her room.

“Seek out my father, the Golden Sage on the fifth floor, east wing!” I Shouted as I sprinted towards the room. She shouted something to confirm my order and rushed off as I slammed the door open. I froze for just a moment as I saw Bridget’s naked body dangling from what looked like a Dark Gemini twin, holding her up by her hair as she kicked her feet in protest. What truly shocked me was an evil looking version of me and the second twin striking her as if she was a pinata. Her body was covered with bruises and scratches by the time I arrived. Of course, my entrance made enough noise to get me noticed. With that in mind I acted quickly and channeled a large amount of electricity into my hands. Within seconds I burst forward in a long leap while forming a lightning-element blade. I slashed through the fake me and the Dark Gemini holding her up. Before Bridget even hit the ground I finished off the other fake Gemini and managed to catch her in my arms while sliding on my knees. I could feel her hot body and deep breaths against my chest. As I held her close to me I examined the conditions of her attackers. They were dead, in a sense.

“Puppets, most likely from the other tyrant.” I told myself as I watched the fake bodies twitch and glitch with a broken robotic rhythm. Soon, their bodies began to dissolve and all that remained were odd looking masks with two holes in them for the eyes.

“So it begins.” My father’s voice came from the door. The mage was right behind him as they both entered.

“Count Masque has sent his invitation to deal with him next. This means the other tyrants must know that Magnus has fallen.” He added as he stood over the masks on the floor. He picked one up and examined it as I stood on my feet to carry Bridget to her bed. I wrapped her up in her sheets as she lay unconscious.

“I do not mean to be rude, but I have done way more than I have been expected to do. This seems to fall into your hands now, Golden Sage. I bid thy good luck and farewell.” The mage expressed and before anyone could thank her she quickly left. I didn’t blame her. I was having doubts about all of this myself.

“This isn’t going to be easy.” My father started off.

“What do you mean?” I asked as I joined his side. He huffed and snapped the mask in half. He shook his head with disappointment and whispered a small prayer to the goddesses. I could only watch with confusion until he answered my question.

“These were actual people you killed.” My heart stopped beating as my eyes widened in terror. That sick feeling I got when I abandoned those warriors who were going to fight Magnus started to rise.

“Calm down, there wasn’t anything you could have done to save them.” My father tried to reassure me, but it wasn’t working.

“Puppet magic condemns the soul no matter what. That is the difference here. Normally, possessing magic just controls the body or the mind. However, puppet magic binds the soul and is very hard to break free from. It is dark magic indeed.” He comments, still trying to soothe the blow of finding out I just killed three actual people.

“Well, this may not be in the way you wanted, but you’ll have to sleep with her tonight.” I coughed as I forgot how to swallow when my father spoke so boldly. I stared at him with baffled eyes. He only returned my staring with a shrug and motioned to leave.

“Nice work with that lightning magic I taught you. The sword was a bit sloppy but other than that, your speed was great.” He complimented me. I raised an eyebrow as I began to wonder how long he was there watching me and how did he get to this room so fast? Before I opened my mouth to question this I suddenly remembered the mage I ran into before entering the room. She was the teleportation master. At least, that was the gossip spread by the alliance members when we were planning to take down Magnus.

By now my father was gone and I was left alone with a naked woman in her bed. I sighed as I decided to get comfortable and removed some of my own clothing.

“Take all of it off, please.” A heard Bridget’s voice which paralyzed me for a few seconds.

“I don’t want the dirt and dust from your clothes to carry onto my wounds.” She added, to which I finally faced her and saw her very serious expression. I’m assuming she was embarrassed that not only did I have to come and save her, but she was put in such a vulnerable position. She was helpless, powerless, and weak. What warrior would invite those feelings to stay?

“Yes, as you wish.” I complied and took everything off. She blushed wildly as she saw all of me. I felt it was only fair since I saw all of her. I slowly approached her bed and asked with a gesture of my head if she wanted me to lay next to her. She thought about it first before nodding yes. I swallowed hard and climbed in. Once I settled and rearranged the sheets, she instantly threw herself upon me and started weeping. I was shocked that she was crying instead of trying to do something else with me. I felt horrible as she wouldn’t stop and I couldn’t find the words to soothe this pain she felt. I only embraced her lightly to show her that I was for her and not against her.

“Why did they pick me?” She sobbed as she rested her head on my chest, which was wet from all her crying. I took in a deep breath and released it through my nose.

“Honestly, I do not know. I have never asked my father why certain people get selected to do this quest.” I’m sure my answer wasn’t that comforting. It seemed like it didn’t need to be. I felt her breathing was calm and steady yet she didn’t reply back. I tilted her head gently and noticed that she fell asleep as I answered her question. I sighed while shaking my head a bit. What was I doing here? I closed my eyes and placed my hands on her back as I recited a healing chant. Her wounds were slowly vanishing, as if nothing happened. Once that was done I drifted off to sleep, holding her tight to ensure her safety.

My eyes flung open in a panic. I felt like I had slept for a long time. What was worse, I didn’t see or feel Bridget anywhere on the bed. I motioned to move but grabbed the back of my head and winced in pain. A headache had swept over me for a moment before I climbed out of the bed. I threw my clothes on and rushed to the door until I heard grunting and shouting from the window. If I remembered the layout of this building, the courtyard was underneath that specific window. I walked and peered through it to find Bridget training with my father coaching her. More like yelling at her every chance he could get. It was strange, she wasn’t wearing armor. In fact, she was wearing very little clothing. Maybe this was her training attire. Either way, I mentally shrugged and headed out the room to meet them.

“Ah! My son has arrived. Good morning! How is your head?” I slowed my pace down as I rubbed the back of my head again. I began to wonder what happened to me while I slept, seeing as he knew about my headache.

“It is fine… What did you do?” I asked, cutting to the chase as I joined his side. He smirked a bit and lightly chuckled. He then stopped and glared at me with disappointment burning through his eyes. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“I caught you having sex with her… Or rather, her having sex with you. Either way, you seemed to be enjoying her ride. So I levitated her off of you and gave you a good rock-element punch to the head. You took the hit pretty well. It was your head bouncing off the headboard and returning back to my fist that most likely erased that ‘glorious’ moment of yours. Not to mention your head collided with the headboard once more before you flopped the other way and remained unconscious. Honestly I thought I had killed you. Then I remembered you can’t die. Before I could do anything else, your lover broke my levitating spell and displayed some good fighting techniques. That’s when I realized she is a magic breaker. It’ll come in handy when going against Master Elkin, the tyrant of south Geminis. Also, if we’re lucky, it’ll help when fighting against Count Masque.” I blinked a few times as my mind was trying to recall that event. I squinted my eyes as I dug deeper in my memories to find a glimpse of what transpired. Her moans of pleasure echoed in my mind as a slight visual of her enjoying our intimate moment presented itself briefly, then vanished as her training shouts distracted me from trying to remember.

“Son, are you okay?” My father looked upon me with concern. I was upset that I only had fragments of my time with Bridget. Whether it was right or not, whether he agreed with it or not, that moment was not his to take from me. So I did the only thing I knew how to do.

“Gah!!” My father gagged as I magically manipulated nearby vines to start strangling him. Of course, this broke Bridget’s focus for a moment, but she ignored it as she most likely knew I found out what happened.

“Son!! I can’t breathe! Stop this at once!!” He barely shouted while gagging some more. I ignored him as I watched Bridget practice whatever hand to hand combat technique my father was teaching her.

“I’m training her from now on. You are on this quest because of me, and I’m not sitting back anymore while you do everything with a callus heart. You don’t care enough to save anyone’s life. Apparently, not even my own anymore.” I paused to switch gears for a moment. I’ve been meaning to speak to him about this subject that plagued my mind.

“You could have saved those men and women that fought against Magnus. Instead, you just stood there and watched. I know your rule, but damn it father! Those were men and women that wanted to return home! Just because you have nothing to return to doesn’t mean you make it equal for everyone else!” I snapped my fingers which served the connection I had to the vine. My father flopped to the ground on his hands and knees and started to gasp for air. Once he was able to stabilize his breathing I crouched down and glared into his eyes.

“Don’t ever tell me you didn’t love my mother. You knew she was dead, you let those people die so they can feel your pain. Newsflash, father. She wasn’t the first wife you lost. If love is a concept that is irrelevant to you, then why are you acting like an old fool who has just lost the love of his life? Why bother with her to begin with?” He scowled as he grit his teeth before answering.

“Because of you, boy. I stayed with her because-” My hand collided with his face as the sound of the slap echoed. He glared even more as he tried to stand but I gripped his right shoulder firmly and forced him to the floor, all the way to the floor. He struggled a bit until he felt one of my tear drops splash on his forehead. He looked up at me and his eyes slightly changed. The tension in his face lessened as he looked away.

“You loved her, father. I want you to say it, here and now.” He remained silent as he continued to avoid my eyes.

“Release me, or I’ll -”

“Say it!! Say that you loved her!” I shouted as I squeezed his shoulder tighter. He winced more in pain, and soon let out a slight yelp as I continued to squeeze. It was wrong for me to go for a weak point of his, knowing full well the slightest touch on his right shoulder brings him to his knees. I know he was in more pain than he was letting out. Either way, I wasn’t going to back down until I made him confess.

“You’re wasting time, boy. Now let go.” What a stubborn old fool he was. I sighed and lowered my head as I prepared myself to hear his screams. What I was about to do brought me no joy, not one bit.

“Haaaa!!!!” He roared in pain as I dislocated his shoulder. His squirming was contained as I held my grasp on him so he couldn’t go far. He could only flail about as I held him down.

“Stop this foolishness!!” He roared again as he tried to fight the pain. I shook my head no as I kept my head lowered, tears streaming down my face.

“Say it, and we’ll be done with this.”

“Why does it matter to you!! She loved you dearly and you returned that love! So what of it, if my emotions are different than yours!” I simply shook my head once more and repeated myself.

“Say it…” He tried to break free again which caused me to huff with annoyance. I snapped my fingers and watched as his other arm extended outward. I looked into his eyes as fear swept over him.

“I said, say it.” I repeated once more with aggression in my voice as his mouth hung open with disbelief. It was like he didn’t believe that I would dislocate his other arm. Sadly, he was wrong. Crack

“Ahhh!! Please stop this idiotic game!! Damn you!!! Stop!!” He screamed at the top of his lungs as I finally let him go to flop around on the ground like a fish out of water.

“Yosin, stop this!!” Bridget’s voice finally caught both of our attention. She had been watching the whole thing, and crying about it as well. Her enraged and watery eyes locked onto mine as she spoke again.

“Enough of this. Leave him alone, Yosin. We have more important things to deal with than something that is irrelevant to the quest at hand.” I slowly stood up which struck fear into her heart. I walked closer to her as she froze from fright.

“I’m training you now, not him. So what I say goes. If I believe my affairs with my father have everything to do with this quest, then it does.” I stopped in front of her as our noses barely touched. Her lips quivered as she prepared for the worst.

“Don’t ever voice your concerns when it comes to me or my father. Question me again, and I’ll find myself looking for the next Dye Hero. Do you understand me?” She hesitated as if she forgot she was supposed to reply back. She quickly nodded her head several times then backed away from me.

“At the moment, I’ve placed a holding barrier around my father. Since he believes you are a magic breaker, you will break that barrier and rush him to receive medical aid. Most likely you’ll have to find a healing mage. This will be your first lesson. Free my father, get him healed. Then come find me when you’re done.” Once I was done speaking I looked over my shoulder at my father. He was unconscious, most likely from the pain I had induced. I held back my tears and quickly looked away as it pained me to see him that way. Even worse, when I was the one that caused him that pain. I quickly remembered why and returned my determination as I walked back inside the castle. I heard Bridget’s footsteps rushing towards him as I left the courtyard. I didn’t want to do this, but it needed to be done. This was probably my father’s nightmare coming true. To have his son become more bitter than him, and this is my first time doing this quest. Above all, this was nightmare regardless. It wasn’t real. My father wouldn’t stand for such behavior from me. As I fought against this nightmare spell it repeated... My eyes flung open in a panic. I felt like I had slept for a long time...
