Asgeir POV

"So we're getting married tomorrow huh." He said leaning back against the palms of his hand.

I bit the inside of my cheek to refrain from saying anything that would only dig a bigger grave for myself, and instead nodded at him, while I uttered.

"Unfortunately."

"There's no need to look so gloomy about it, like I said, you can do your own thing and I'll do mine. Just don't sleep with anyone during your fertility month, we wouldn't want complications arising about the father of the child." He said with an absolute straight face that it actually made me fume.

I don't know what, but something just snapped inside of me and I turned to glare at him.

"Is that what you really think of me!" I said a bit too loudly that it surprised him but he quickly covered and looked back at me with his usual eyes.

"Well you seem to like the way almost every man lusts after you. I suppose it makes you feel like-"

"You know what, fuck you. I don't need to listen to your bullshit right now." I said cutting him off and standing up to walk away.

I walked a few feet away from him when he grabbed my sleeve and stopped me. He turned me around swiftly and smashed his mouth against mine. I stood there, frozen for a few seconds, looking with wide eyes, at his closed ones, while he pressed his lips against mine.

I recovered from my shock and pushed him away from me. I glared at him while I wiped my mouth with my sleeve and looked at him with a look of disgust.

"Don't look so surprised, it's not like it's the first time you've kissed someone" he said smirking at me.

"And besides, we're going to be doing a lot more than kissing wh-"

"You can impregnate me all you want, but know this" I said looking him straight in the eyes.

"I will never kiss you tenderly nor will I ever love you. You're not who I thought you were and I'm not doing this out of the hope that someday you'll become someone I can love, no, I'm doing this solely for my Father. If it were up to me, I wouldn't even glance your way" I said and turned around to leave before he could say anything further.

I decided to walk the rest of the way home, since that asshole didn't come after me, but I didn't mind or care, since it gave me time to think and let it all out before I got home.

The last thing I wanted was for Dad and Father to see that something was wrong. I didn't want to bother them with this, and I knew that it was something that I had to do on my own.

By the time I had reached the palace, it was already dark, and I gathered that everyone was already having dinner, so I went to my room and decided to clean up, knowing I probably looked terrible.

I took off all my clothing and rubbed a warm damp cloth all over my body, rubbing off all the sweat from walking. I threw on my royal garments, because I knew that there were a few guests from neighboring kingdoms, that arrived early for my wedding, and that they were most likely in the dining hall.

I looked at myself in the mirror for a few seconds and instinctively, my fingers rose and settled on my lips. I looked at for a few minutes and felt my anger rise all over again.

That asshole took my first kiss.

I inhaled and exhaled a few times and left my room. As I walked down the hallway, I could hear the loud laughs coming from the dining hall, and I only prayed that I could get through this dinner, holding my tongue, since lately I seemed to speak what was on my mind, something that shocked me, as I never ever did that in the past.

The guards opened the doors for and bowed their heads as I walked in, and I was right. There were indeed, four extra people, at the table, and I could not suppress the huge smile on my face when I saw that the place next to Gregor was occupied by a beautiful woman, who was talking eagerly to him, though he looked bored out of his mind, and only looked up when I walked in.

"There is my Baby." Dad said and smiled at me.

"Dad he's eighteen. He's hardly a baby anymore." Arvid said as he leaned back in his chair.

"He'll always be my baby." Dad said, dismissing the laugh from Armod and Arvid.

I walked towards my Dad, and kissed his cheek and sat down next to him, since that was the empty seat. I looked to my right and I noticed a fairly handsome man sitting next to me. He smiled at me and extended his hand.

"I'm Erik. Son of King Tristan." He said smiling at me.

"Ah, Prince Erik. I've heard alot about you. It's an honor to meet you." I said smiling at him and took his hand, expecting him to shake it, but to my surprise he raised to his lips and pressed a kiss on the back of my hand.

"The honor is mine. And please, call me Erik." He said and letting go off my hand.

"Erik it is then." I said smiling at him.

I spoke with Erik throughout dinner and found him to be a nice guy. He came across as a genuine person, unlike a certain someone.

I learned that he too was engaged to be married in a year, but unlike me, he was marrying someone he had been in love with since he was a boy.

I couldn't help, but envy that. To spend the rest of your days with someone who made you feel like most beautiful person. Someone who looked at you like no one else mattered. Someone who treated you like you were most precious thing they every laid eyes on..

Someone you loved.

I was screwed the moment Gregor uttered my name to my Father. I was going to spend the rest of my days with someone who thought I was a slut and would spread my legs for anyone. Someone who looked at me with those cruel eyes, that frightened me to think what was on his mind when he looked at me.

"I hope you're feeling better." Erik said, bringing me out of my thoughts.

I narrowed my eyes and looked at him with a look of confusion which he must have noticed because he then told me how when they arrived earlier, that I wasn't there to greet them and when my parents asked Gregor where I was because Arvid and Armod had told them that I went with him to see the falls, instead of telling them that he left me to walk back alone while he rode back on his horse, instead he told them that I wasn't feeling well and went to lay down.

I gathered that because everyone was busy with the new guests that arrived, no one thought to check in my room if I was really there and instead left me to get my supposed rest.

"Oh yes. I'm much better thank you." I smiled at him and turned to glare at Gregor when Erik began talking to my Father about something.

Despite my glaring at Gregor, I could tell that he just as angry as me, if not more, because he seemed to be fuming. In fact, he looked pissed off where he sat looking directly at me.

What the hell is his problem?
