Chapter 23

Asgeir POV

I smiled in my sleep when I felt that warmth around me. It was not the first time that I had slept with him covering me with his wing or shielding me, and yet each time felt like the very first time.

I could feel my heart hammering in my chest, while I felt goosebumps spread all over my skin. It was a feeling I didn't think I would ever feel, and feeling it from the touch a dragon was all the more exhilarating in every sense.

I had noticed it in the third week that I had been here. I looked forward to seeing him whenever I woke and loved spending every minute I had with him.

And it wasn't because he was the only living thing here, but it was rather because he was him. He always so gentle and caring with me, almost like he was afraid he would hurt or break me if he touched me.

As much as I did not what the concept of love was, or have any idea at all, I somehow felt that in some way or another, I had come to feel that towards him.

I had fallen in love with this dragon.

I found myself smiling at nothing when I thought of him, and when he would ask me what it was that had made me smile, I would tell him that I was thinking about my family and my home.

Somehow, I didn't know what he would think or say if I told him that I thought I was in love wit him. Would he think I was creepy, or would he even understand what that meant.

I knew I could never really do anything physical with him, since he was dragon and it was physically impossible, but that didn't stop me from opening up my heart to feel these things for him.

Sure I missed my family and wondered what they were doing all the time, but that didn't mean that I wanted to leave here and go back, if anything, I wanted to stay here forever, with him.

In the time that I had come to know him, I had become so used to being with him, that I couldn't see myself any other way, and the thought of being away from scared him or anything happening to him, scared me so much.

I smiled a bit more, and stretched out my hand yawning, but my yawn got stuck in my throat making me gasp when I felt something so contrary to what I normally felt when I touched his body.

Where I usually felt rough scaly skin, I now felt soft smooth skin.

I ran my hand across it one more time and jolted when I felt a firm hard chest, instead of the usual skin I always felt.

I opened my eyes slowly and widened them when I saw a sleeping human face with his firm muscular arm around me.

I screamed and jolted away so swiftly, that he woke up in an instant and looked at me with his worried eyes.

I looked into those blue eyes and tilted my head as I felt that familiar wave of warmth flood through me just by looking at his eyes, while he looked at me clearly confused by my action, and I saw something cross his eyes that made me feel some sort of sharp pain in my chest just by looking at it.

It looked like sorrow was flashing across his face and eyes and it didn't take me long to realize why he had that look on his face.

He thought I was afraid of him, and he clearly had no idea what he looked like right now.

"Aeldit?" I asked with uncertainty in my voice, somehow doubting that it was really him.

When he nodded, I let out a sigh of relief, and walked towards him slowly while looking at him.

He had changed so much and his human self was just as beautiful as his dragon self.

He was tall, much taller than me, and firm muscles adorned his entire body making him look like a God. His hair was cut short and he had the most handsome face I had ever seen.

Not even the most handsome men in my kingdom could weigh anything against him.

His face was perfect, with a sharp jaw line and plump lips, that I died to taste. His blue eyes, that watched me as I walked towards him, were so mesmerizingly alluring that it felt like he was staring right into my soul.

I walked till I stood in front of him, watching as he stood absolutely still. I placed my hand gently on his chest and felt how his heart was hammering in his chest just as fast as mine was.

I let my eyes trail downwards over his very evident abs that actually stood out, but what stood out more, that that really huge flaccid member dangling between his legs.

It was so huge that it actually made me gulp while I looked at it. I looked back at him and saw the look of confusion in his eyes, and it was then that I realized that he hadn't even noticed that he had turned into a human form, or that he didn't even realize that he was no longer dragon that had to lean down to look at me.

What had occupied his thoughts so much for him to fail to realize that.

I smiled as I ran my hands across his bare chest and stood on my toes to lean in line with his ear. Once my mouth was by his ear, I smiled as I whispered

"You're human"

I felt his body tense and jerk away as he looked at his hands and then at his feet. He touched his face then his chest, and then turned around to face me with wide eyes, almost like he couldn't believe it.

"I'm guessing that's something that usually doesn't happen?" I asked when I saw how lost he looked and he shook his head confirming it.

"No dragon had ever shifted into a human before." He said with a shaky voice.

"Last night I.. last night." He began stammering and I walked towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay breathe. What happened last night?"

"Last night I dreamt I shifted into a human, and I did all the things humans do, I felt so happy. Happiness I have never felt before, I thought it was all a dream, until I woke up." He said smiling at me, but I could see his eyes were filling with tears as he spoke and I couldn't help but ask him why he wanted to be a human so badly.

"Since I got to know you, I have never wanted anything so badly. I want to touch you, kiss you, I want to do all sorts of things with you, and I couldn't do those things because I was dragon, and I knew I would hurt you, that's why I craved to be a human." He chuckling and sniffing a bit, as the tears rolled down his face.

I raised my hands and placed them on the sides of his extremely handsome face and wiped away his tears with my thumbs, as I smiled at him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. I felt him tense for a second before he wrapped his arms around me and buried his face in my neck as he smelt me.

"Does this mean you can't be a dragon anymore?" I asked as I leaned my head against his shoulder.

"No, I can still feel it moving around inside me and I can still feel that flaming fire inside me, so I suppose he's in there somewhere." He said and pulled away from me.

Immediately when he did, I pressed my lips against his, and moaned into our kiss when I felt his soft lips. I ran my fingers through his hair and pulled him towards me as I kissed him deeply.

Kissing him felt so right, and when he slid his tongue in my mouth, I felt like my knees would give out, and I was thankful for the strong grip he had around my waist, because if not, I would have long fell on the ground.

To me, this was my first kiss. With someone that I was in love with.

I broke away when I felt like my lungs were going to burst and I held my forehead against his, panting while he held me close to his very naked body. I pulled my forehead away from him and smiled at him, while I whispered..

"We can touch eachother now."
