I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Cade didn’t love her, so he didn’t want to marry her, let alone attend the wedding. Nydia realized she had become a laughingstock, but she didn’t mind–she didn’t love him either. She only married him to save Sharp Group.

Back then, she willingly signed the prenuptial agreement and played the role of “Mrs. Jackson” for five years, thinking that was how her life would be. However, everything she had pretended for five years was shattered when another woman appeared.

Nydia then realized that these five years were nothing to Cade but everything to her. She still remembered his every cold look, every disdainful remark, and every moment. he spent with someone else. These memories caused her immense pain, making her vulnerable and humiliated.

Nydia’s heart sank further, torn apart by excruciating pain. As time went by, she had developed some feelings for him. But now, it turned out meaningless as she was exhausted in this hopeless marriage.

Justin’s compassionate gaze flashed in her mind. She thought of how he urged her to leave Cade and live her own life while she was still young.

The idea of having her own life seemed distant to Nydia amidst the overwhelming agony before her drowning. She woke up abruptly, splashing water everywhere.

Dara knocked urgently on the door as Nydia stared at the floor for a few seconds before. leaving the bathroom.

Dara, relieved to see Nydia unharmed, suggested having a late–night snack. Nydia nodded, wrapped a towel around her wet hair, and called Cade. It took him a while to answer the call, his voice cold and impatient as he asked, “What’s up?”

Nydia calmly asked, “Can you come home now? I want to talk to you.”

Cade remained silent for a few seconds before Josephine’s voice came through. “Cade, I

want some water.

“Well, remember to come home early.” Ignoring Josephine’s voice, Nydia abruptly ended the call.

Dara brought a plate of pasta and a few side dishes to Nydia, casually asking, “Is Mr. Jackson coming home?”

“I don’t know.” Nydia picked up her fork and began to eat. She felt unusually hungry

today, finishing not only the plate of pasta but also the side dishes quickly.

Dara nodded happily. “Never let yourself get hungry, as being well–fed provides you with the energy to do what you want.”

“You’re right, Dara,” Nydia agreed with her. Wiping her mouth, she walked over to the sofa and glanced at the variety show Dara was watching, which depicted a couple going through a divorce due to the husband’s infidelity. The wife requested a divorce and division of assets but was violently assaulted by her husband.

As Nydia watched the unfolding drama, she couldn’t help but feel angry that the wife ended up leaving with nothing after enduring abuse from her husband.

“Why didn’t she fight for her share? Why didn’t she stand her ground and seek justice in court against that scumbag?” Dara criticized.

Removing the towel from her head, Nydia remarked, “Dara, I didn’t realize you are so bad–tempered. Women of Dara’s age were typically known for their patience and loyalty, enduring injustice for the sake of their children. Dara’s courage and insights were a rare find.

Nydia thought of thanking Orson for sending someone who suited her taste so well.

Dara said, “Women who lose their minds in relationships are stupid.”

Nydia laughed. “Oh Dara, you’re like a philosopher, you know?”

Dara laughed along and quickly realized something, saying, “Except for you. You love Mr. Jackson, but you’re very clever.”

Nydia wanted to ask Dara how she concluded that she loved Cade, but she remained. silent.

Time passed quickly. It was past eleven, yet Cade Jackson hadn’t returned. Nydia picked up her phone and called him again, determined to ask him to come home and talk.

Cade had just left the hospital when he received Nydia’s call. He was about to answer when a call came in from Orson. After hesitating for a few seconds, he answered Orson’s call.

There was a busy tone on the other end. Nydia tightly pursed her lips, her face growing paler and her gaze turning colder.

Dara noticed her change in expression and quickly grabbed her shoulder, asking, “Mrs. Jackson, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

Nydia slowly stood up, and the wet towel in her arms fell to the ground. “I’m going upstairs,” she said calmly before walking away. Alarmed, Dara called Orson.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Closing the bedroom door, Nydia sat on the bed for a moment before calling Troy. “Are we friends?” she inquired.

“Of course,” Troy replied, setting aside his documents and rubbing his tired eyes.

Nydia said, “Find me the best divorce lawyer, regardless of the cost.”

Troy froze for a moment before coming back to his senses, saying, “What?”

Nydia continued, “From now on, you can hand over all the troublesome projects to me, because I need a lot of money to sue the Jackson family.”

Justin had made a valid point that the Jackson Group stole more than 40 million dollars. from the Sharp Group. Nydia wasn’t blinded by love; she couldn’t just walk away without taking a penny. Since she was divorcing Cade, besides getting her fair share, she also had to fight for what belonged to the Sharp Group.

However, this process would likely be very difficult. Their statuses were never equal, with Nydia always being a dependant of Cade, Breaking free from this relationship and getting a piece of the pic from him was something most lawyers couldn’t achieve.

Most importantly, in Creekheim, taking on this case meant going against the top. financial powerhouse. Nydia had to find an unusual way. She believed that Troy, a jack- of–all–trades in Mewarting City, could find a skilled lawyer willing to challenge the Jackson Group’s legal team.

Jackson Group’s influence hadn’t reached Mewarting City yet, so it wouldn’t threaten her lawyer during the process.

“Have you made your decision?” Troy asked seriously.

“Yes,” Nydia replied calmly. “So please send more projects my way; I need to make

money.”

Troy chuckled and agreed, “Alright, you get some good rest first.”

Nydia hung up the phone.

Troy lit a cigar, leaned back in his chair, took a few puffs, and made a call to his

secretary.
