EPILOGUE

Tiny specks of dust danced in the shaft of afternoon sunlight that slanted through the windows. The setting sun cast an array of colors across the sky and she loved watching every second of it. Today fell into place as they had hoped and for the last day before winter begins—it sure was a beautiful day. The coronation is tonight, under the full moon where she'll be crowned queen and another promise will be fulfilled.

Everyone was busy either helping prepare the pack garden for the ceremonies or going out to look for gifts to give to the Alpha and his Luna. Gali was stuck in the house, not allowed to go out because it'll be bad luck if she's seen before the ceremony—she only wanted to help.

The noblewoman came by to help her prepare; they placidly bathed her in water like milk with the most extravagant scents added to it; rubbed jasmine oil all over her body, brushed her hair to the point she felt it'd come out at the roots, put light makeup on her and all that was left now was the dress. Everything was so perfect.

Time seemed to pass much slower than it should. Though Larkin got glimpses of her from the balcony, it still wasn't enough to ease the void she unknowingly left like a dark shadow looming over him—a void only she can fill. Today his other promise will be fulfilled, Gali will be his, in a much more special and sacred way.

The night was aglow with a blanket of stars, the full moon shining ever so luminously in the night sky—no clouds were present.

Colors so bright they blinded you from afar decorated the garden, the aisle, a silky white carpet; either side of it were floral rugs on the lush green grass and the altar, an inch higher bed of flowers and the background to it all the bright lights of the town square.

Everyone wore the most expensive silks—all in different pretty colors and designs from intricate to simple. Ukuleles were being played, the people dancing to and singing traditional songs to welcome their Luna home. Everyone endlessly rejoiced.

Gali could hear it all—the laughter, the music and pure joy in the people's hearts. She couldn't hold in her enthusiasm to see everything and everyone, especially her Larky. The noblewomen finished dressing her, adding the last detail which was a crescent shaped hair pin, 'moon goddess' engraved on it. "benedicat tibi luna et dea luna sit tecum cotidiana vitae tuae." With those words, they all surrounded her and placed their hands upon her —giving her their blessings.

They stepped out of the room and she stood before a mirror to admire the work of art they turned her into—her unruly hair help up In a bun on top of her head, tendrils of hair left to sway freely around her face; the dress on her body a soft baby blue, flowers scattered at the bottom of the long skirt , the upper part plain and tight-fitting with a sweetheart neckline and big Silk bows as straps. SHE LOOKED DAINTY AND HAPPY.

This was another forgotten promise but stayed like the love between them, it'll be fulfilled and now they'll be together FOREVER.

Everyone was seated, waiting for her. Fireflies flew around, a sign for a better future for the two.

Larkin stood at the altar, a shiny black armor adorning his body and a red cloak on his shoulders. It was how royal men welcomed their queens, like their own knights in shining armor, swooshing them away from this cruel world.

A soft song played and at the end of the aisle, stood his Gali, her favorite flowers in her hands and an extremely large grin on her face. Everyone faded into oblivion and the only one Larkin could focus on was the beautiful woman who had stolen his heart, snatched it from inside him and took care of it with all her might—walk down to him, ready to take his hand and be his.

"Amore, you look so beautiful." He ran the pad of his thumb across her cheek and matched her smile with a bright one. All Gali could do was blush scarlet and kiss his hand.

"Welcome all, today we unite these two souls before the moon goddess and your eyes—a very good night to do so as the full moon shines down on us in luminous glory, a sign that these two will have a happy and long life. They may say their vows and make a promise to the goddess to love one another endlessly and share great loyalty towards each other. "

"Galinarael Melody Thompson, do you take thee as your husband and beloved before the goddess, do you promise to love him wholeheartedly and endlessly? Do you promise to cherish him and keep him by your side for life?"

"I do."

"Larkin Sonu Morph, do you take thee as your wife and beloved before the goddess, do you promise to love her wholeheartedly and endlessly? Do you promise to cherish her and keep her by your side for life?"

"We shall perform the 5 vows to seal the ceremony and the vows." A red ribbon was tied on both their wrists and the elder began chanting the ancient words of love and happiness. They walked around the flower bed 5 times and stopped in the middle then knelt before the old man. He placed his hands atop their heads and gave his blessings to the two. When he finished, people stood up and clapped, whistling and screaming with joy at the newlyweds.

"I pronounce you Alpha and Luna, you may kiss her your majesty." Larkin wasted no time colliding his lips with hers, something he's been wanting to do. They moved at a slow and sweet pace—which had both of them wanting more but unfortunately had to stop. The ribbon was cut off and Larkin stood up before her as she was told to keep kneeling.

"We welcome Luna once more, giving her the crown and power to rule the shifter kingdoms. Galinarael, I give you this crown in hopes of you ruling by your husband in power and with grace, fulfill your duty of mothering all kingdoms and fight for them with authority and fairness as their queen. Do you vow with your life to these expectations and promise to wear the crown with your head held high?"

Gali looked up at Larkin who still stood before her but now with a sword in hand. She had been worried about this, given so much power only to one day disappoint them—wouldn't that be lovely? But like Larky always did, he convinced her she'll make a great queen, one that'll be remembered from generation to generation. The thought still in mind, she smiled at him and spoke the words that'll change her life forever.

"I promise to wear the crown with my head held high and to protect my people with all my life, love and care for them for as long as I live." A shimmery gold crown was placed on her head , she chanted the vows along with Larkin as he laid the sword on either of her shoulders.
