“We didn’t do anything, Mom. He only came because of his daughter. He offered to buy us lunch, but we refused it. We really didn’t hang out with him,” Jack quickly spoke up, and I smiled at them.

“Having a meal with him won’t hurt. You should do it if he shows up next time,” I could not believe that I just said that to them, but no way I was going to keep them away from him forever since they were his kids, right?

“Really, Mommy! We can really have meal with him?” The smile on Jake’s face was priceless as he looked at me for approval, and when I nodded, Jack squeaked excitedly.
