After a long drive, Lisa finally pulled over in front of the hospital and stepped out of the car,

“Prestige medical center’ She read the inscription in front of the building and sighed before she proceeded into the tall building

“Good day, Ms. How may I help you?” The receptionist, a young slim lady in her late twenties spoke to Lisa politely as soon as she walked up to the reception.

“Good day to you. Is doctor Spencer in?” Lisa looked at the lady in the eyes and asked.

“He is in his office, Ms. It’s in the third floor. Third office along the walkway,”

“Thank you,” Lisa finally headed to the elevator.

Lisa’s blood boiled in rage and restlessness as she walked down the hallway seconds after she stepped out of the elevator on the third floor. It took her almost no effort to locate the doctor’s office, and as soon as she arrived, she rang the doorbell.

The door opened, revealing the nervous doctor Spencer whose face looked pale Eke he had been sick for a couple of days or thereabouts.

“M… Ms Hughes. You are here…” He stuttered and smiled nervously at Lisa, knowing the possible reason why she was there.

After Xander went to his house to confront him, he had been living his life in fear, scared that something might go wrong, and when he got the call earlier, it messed his confidence up.

“I need to know the truth… What happened to my brother’s test result of years ago? Was he really sterile?” Lisa reclined on the chair and swung her leg over the day confidently.

“Not at all, Ms. There was a mix up somewhere,”

“No… I mean, I messed with it,” He quickly corrected himself after she threw him a disdainful glare.

“I didn’t mean to… I really never meant to do that, I promise. I was s put up to it. I never meant to do that to your brother,” Spencer went ahead to defend himself as his body shook lightly.

“I’m sorry about everything that happened, I’m really sorry,” He went on his knees and crawled to Lisa’s front.

“Please spare me just this once… Please beg your brother to spare me just this once. I promise not to ever do that to anyone again no matter how much I’m offered,” His voice shook slightly and his lips trembled as he begged Lisa shamelessly. Going on his knees was nothing if it was to save his career. He would be doomed for the rest of his life if the Hughes family decided to punish him for his crime though it was their Mom that put him up to it

“Next time?” Lisa scoffed then turned to him and smirked.

Fear gripped him and his eyes narrowed, knowing what that meant. His career was not going to go down the drain at this point, right? That was of course, his biggest fear in life. Losing everything he had worked for all these years was the scariest thing he could ever imagine happening to him.

“I won’t do this again, I promise. Please spare me,” His eyes glistened with tears as he held her leg and pleaded like a gun was held to his head.

“My brother is the last person anyone would mess with and go scot free. Who knows, maybe I would’ve forgiven you if you had done this to me… But I won’t do that now because you ruined my brother’s life,” Lisa paused then stood up and picked up her handbag from the table.

“You should wait for my lawsuit within the week and get ready to go down, Mr. Spencer,”

“No. You can’t do this-

“Did you say that you won’t ever do that again? Of course, you won’t, because you will never have a chance to victimize anyone again. I won’t ever allow that to happen.” She stated coldly and yanked his hands off her leg

“See you in court, doctor Spencer,” She winked at him and started off to the door, but his voice made her halt.

“If I’m going to go down, you know I won’t go down alone, right?” Spencer managed to stand up to his feet. He still had a tiny string which was Mrs. Hughes, so it’s only right that he hold on to that, right?

“Your Mom… We are in this together. If you decide to sue me for this, do you think I’m going to shut my mouth and not mention your Mom? Besides, she put me up to all these,”

For the next few seconds, Lisa stood there and just stared at the closed door.

“I bet you didn’t think about that before you came here to threaten me,” He chuckled nervously, glad that his little trick was working out for him..

“We can sort this out amicably without anyone getting hurt, you know? I can pay line for this, I really don’t mind. Why don’t we save eachother’s face here, hmm?” He continued as he slowly walked toward her.

“I’m willing to go on my knees and beg your brother. I’m willing to do anything you ask me to do, so why don’t we save ourselves the stress and humiliation, Ms Hughes? I’m sure you didn’t think of that earlier,” He finally stood behind her and reached to touch her, but just before his hand could touch her shoulder, she turned swiftly and sent a hot slap across his cheek which sent him wincing as he held his cheek

“That is for trying to touch me, doctor Spencer. If that filthy hand of yours had touched me, then you would’ve been getting more than just a slap,” She tucked her hair behind her ear and smirked.
