“What if I say yes? It has been hours already, but those words kept replaying in my head as I smiled like a teenager who just had her first love. The feeling was magical, it was hard to believe that Nick and I started dating as of today.

“You look happy today. Did something special happen?” I almost jumped out of my skin when Ella’s little voice drew my attention, and I jolted back to reality only to find her standing in front of me while hugging her teddy bear tightly to herself, her little cute eyes piercing into mine suspiciously

“Did you say something?”

“Something special must’ve happened. You are not the type to be this happy. The aunt Lisa I know is not always a cheerful person,” I frowned deeply as watched her drag her legs to sit beside me on the couch.

“I’m a cheerful person,” I retorted, and she scoffed.

“I’ll just pretend you are,” She waved her hand in the air dramatically, and I scoffed

“Where’s Dad, by the way? He’s supposed to be back by now,” She looked at me with concern.

“Your Daddy have his own life to live too. You are not his mom, so stop monitoring his movement,” k and just shrugged.

Your Dad is an adult, and he’ll return home when he’s free, ok?” I patted her hair briefly as I forced a smile at her, I was in such a happy mood tonight that I didn’t want anything to ruin this for me, I didn’t want to get distracted by anything other than the thought of Nick.

“You are so mean,” She huffed as she stood up then glared at me and finally walked off. I breathed out in relief once she was out of sight.

“Finally! She’s off,” I tucked my hair behind my ear then reached for my phone and unlocked it. I exchanged numbers with Nick earlier although I haven’t saved it yet..

“What should I save his number with?” I contemplated as I stared at my phone screen.

“Will “babe” be fine?” I chewed on my finger, but changed my mind and smiled as a pet name popped in my head.

“Mi amor” I could’ve saved it with “my love, but I found it cuter in Spanish. I had just clicked on “saved”, when I was greeted by Xander’s familiar cologne and his thick footsteps along the walkway, in less than a minute, he walked into the living room, looking just as bright as I was, and I could only suspect that something good must’ve happened in his own end too.

“You look happy. Did something happened?” I was being nosy, just like Ella did earlier, but I could not hold myself back as a result of my curiosity.

“Welcome back and how was work is what every normal human being would say when someone gets back home, don’t you think?” He groaned as he sunk into the couch after he got rid of his coat, and I rolled my eyes.

“I was too curious. Tell me, did something happen?” I leaned forward and blinked my eyes at him cutely, hoping to get him to talk to me. In all honesty, i was hoping and praying silently that his happiness would have something to do with Summer I would be so glad if it was

“Nothing serious. You look happy yourself Spill the beans,” He looked at me suspiciously, and my cheeks flushed. I was going to tell him about my relationship with Nick right away. I was too excited to keep it a secret. I guess it’s the feeling that comes with love.

“Huh?” My eyes blinked on their own, shocked at his question.

“I mean, you must’ve put him in a situation where he had no choice. Did you threaten him using me?” He leaned forward and looked into my eyes with a dead serious expression on his face that had me fuming inside.

“Why would I do that?”

“It’s just crazy that Nick agreed to date you. I mean you of all the women out there? Hell nah! I don’t believe you didn’t threaten him,”

“Xander! You are annoying me right now, and you know it. What’s wrong with me?” I snapped at him, and he chuckled softly. I guess he just loves getting On my nerves, and it was really working.
