Chapter 5: Uncovering Clues

[Frankie's pov] It had been 12 hours in this cell when suddenly the door opened and someone was pushed in before the door slammed closed; it was grandma Susie and suddenly as I saw her there, my heart began to sink. I said "grandma where are the kids?" and she said "they're safe but I had to leave them and distract the men so the kids could escape and I freaked out and said they're young children all alone" and grandma said "no they're 2 genetically enhanced kids who are our only hope, they'll find a way to do it" and Isabella said "honey relax, at least they're safe and surrounded by weapons  and I'm sure they'll find a way, just like we did 10 years ago" and I said I hope so". Mr. Gearing walked in and said "now that you're all here, all we need is your children so I can kill you all before you can interfere with my plan and don't worry, I won't bore you with the details...see ya"

[Camilla's pov] After tucking Ernie into bed and putting him to sleep since he was terrified, I went into my room and started asking the computer myriad of questions for a few hours. Thanks to the computer I found out we were in Louisville and I was so happy because all I wanted to do was see Jamie and I knew since I was all alone I would need his help but it would be a couple of days but even when he arrives I cant give my location. I found myself thinking so much that I drifted off to sleep and ended up sleeping peacefully through the night until Ernie woke me up early to make him breakfast. Ernie was 6 but he was always very shy and gets scared of unknown things quickly, but like me, he's way smarter than his age when he wasn't scared and right now he's all I have, so I would have to help him get through this. After Ernie woke me up, I made him some pancakes and then went to take a hot bath since my room had its own bathroom and I still had burs in my hair and clothes from yesterday.

The next few days with Ernie were an emotional roller coaster as he couldn't take not seeing mom and dad in 4 days as well as I was taking it but thanks to a few videos I found on the internet I was able to teach him techniques to channel his emotions. I must say it worked well probably because he was young because I know for a fact none of that bullshit would've worked on me. Each day that we stayed here, the more excuses I found to not visit that operations room and begin creating a plan to save our family...I was dreading it because I had no idea what to do. I woke up and Ernie was already standing there asking me what were we gonna do about mom and dad and I grabbed Ernie and said follow me, as we walked to the operations room. When I entered the room, the computer said Identity confirmed and the walls opened up revealing bookshelves. I was confused so I asked the computer to bring up emergency contacts and I scrolled through them until I saw something interesting... it was someone on the list named "cyborg Mac".

I told the computer to call cyborg and suddenly, the floor opened up revealing this room that had these different people in freezers and one opened up and this brown skin half man half robot came out and he greeted us and said "I am Mac please state your commands" and I said "um you will aid me and my brother in retrieving our parents by protecting us from hostile targets "and Mac said, "directive confirmed". I spent the next few hours going over mac's user manual and finally figured out how to take him out of attack mode and into regular mode. When I put him into regular mode, he seemed completely human so I assigned him to supervise Ernie and over the next few days they became very good friends and I came closer to finding out where my parents had been taken off to.

[Frankie's pov] It had been 2 weeks since we had been captured and I figured the kids would never come but I told grandma I forgave her because at least they were safe and the shelter had enough supplies to last a lifetime thanks to the new matter synthesizers I installed a few years back. Mr. gearing walked in with a smug look on his face and said "well it looks like your precious kids aren't coming, or they're probably dead, but either way their too late, now that I've extracted DNA from you, my army is complete and soon we'll destroy all races inferior to us. I prayed that the kids had a plan and were coming to free us because if not we're all doomed.

[Camilla's pov] After ruffling through computer logs and thanks to Mac's creative skills, I managed to locate them through a GPS tracker in the dash of their car which had been relayed to the operations room under heavy encryption but luckily, Mac was able to break through. Since Mac was more familiar with technology I had him analyze the facility via satellite images and help me interpret any weak spots that we can use to our advantage but sadly there were none. Mac decided that we could use explosive charges to distract the guards and before we finalized the plan, I told mac I didn't want any causalities unless they were necessary after all I'm only 8 and I'm not ready to kill. Me and Mac continued working until we heard Ernie scream and ran in to check on him and he pointed at the television and it was on the news and it read: America under attack by supermen.

The reporter said that critical areas around the US had been attacked by these men and the armed forces were going to deal with the issue so we sat back for 2 more days perfecting the plan and waiting for a window of opportunity until one came but in the worst circumstance. In just 2 days the military forces had been defeated by these men who were super-beings and apparently could take bullets and regenerate the damaged tissue at an exponential rate. The commander identified himself as Mr. gearing before relieving the president and taking the white house and seizing control over the government and as this happened, I told Mac and Ernie, "we're out of time.. let'ss get rolling".
