Chapter 37: Reunion Part 1

Words about me being the new proclaim goddess spread throughout the world like wildfire. Now that everyone knows; every time people see me, they bow to me with respect. I feel honored but at the same time feel shy and uncomfortable. I’m not used to having special treatment. However, there’s nothing I could do about it and I could only compromise and enjoy the privilege of being a goddess.

Today, Leena and I decided to go to Enchantreia World. Together, we will tour all dimensions; we had promised our friends before that we would visit them if there’s a chance, and now is a perfect time.

As soon as I finished preparing everything I need for the trip, I heard Leena mutter ‘done’. "Ready?"

Leena nodded and smiled with excitement—her eyes shining as the sun rose early in the morning.

And of course, she always clung to my arm like a koala. From the moment I return, Leena never leaves my side as though she’s afraid I’ll disappear again. But I don't mind at all because I feel the same way; we were inseparable since I can remember.

"Hey! Wait!"

As soon as we arrived in the garden, a loud yell interrupted us when we were about to make a portal. We turned around and saw Bryle with the others running towards us at a fast speed.

I narrowed my eyes and then raised an eyebrow. What are they doing here?

"Please let us come with you!" said Aira with puppy eyes the moment they stopped in front of us.

Since I got back, I have also become friends with Bryle, Joaquin, Aira, and Isagani. We hung out with them every day and had fun everywhere in the world. Leena and I shook our heads in amusement; we looked at each other and let out a sigh. We had no choice but to allow them.

Fortunately, God Zeus allowed me to stay here in the Moondrous World and travel the other dimensions. However, I will return to Olympus when they need my presence and if there is a meeting or something.

Seeing the excited faces of the group, I immediately summoned a portal; a purple, swirling motion appeared and a powerful force of the gust of wind howled. Without delaying a second, the group immediately entered the portal with extreme excitement and they’re gone to the other side. Leena and I held hands with amused smiles as we entered the portal.

As we stepped into the familiar place and air, a smile plastered on my lips.

"Woah! What place is this?" they muttered in awe.

Everyone in the vast plaza is looking at us in awe. I guess they were surprised at our sudden appearance.

"This is the Enchantreia World. We've been here before." Leena replied while scanning the area with a smile.

"Look! There's an enormous statue!" They ran toward the statues like little children and when they reached the statues, they gasped loudly except for Joaquin, who didn’t even look surprised at all like he had already seen the statues before.

When we look closer, we also gasp in awe. It was a statue of Leena and me!

Amazing!

Leena and I touched the statues with amazement. I think they made us a statue as a commemoration for winning the war before.

I noticed that there are many people here in town. Was there an event?

In the middle, there’s a platform and two figures were fighting fiercely.

When we looked closely, my eyes widened when I saw one participant.

"Zenon?" Leena and I both uttered, and we looked at each other at the same time.

Zenon’s opponent is a powerful weapon summoner. It summons different weapons, but it only summons basic weapons. However, Zenon will most likely win the duel because his opponent was already bruised badly. Well, the fight lasted a few more minutes and of course, Zenon won. He stood there frozen as if he saw a ghost or something. I smiled at him and waved; he got back into his trance while rubbing his eyes as though he was hallucinating. Leena and I chuckled at his reaction. His expression lifted and quickly headed our way in a hurry.

"Zenon!" I heard Ereia shout at Zenon when she saw him walking past them towards us. The group instantly froze when they met our gaze and their eyes widened in shock. Like what Zenon did, they rubbed their eyes thinking they were hallucinating.

"Luna?! Leena?!" they blurted out unbelievably and trembled with excitement. They suddenly rushed towards us with wide smiles and teary eyes.

My eyes widened when I noticed that Ereia and Venice didn’t slow down without tearing their gaze away from us; tears of joy streamed down their faces nonstop.

They both jumped at Leena and me—hugging us tightly while sobbing. Ereia hugged Leena while Venice hugged me. I giggled in amusement. They sure miss me—I mean us.

"Waah, Luna! I miss you so much!" Venice cried while still hugging me tightly. Wow, she could still recognize me even though Leena and I looked very much alike.

“There… there… crybaby,” I chuckled as I tapped her back. In response, she hugged me as tight as she would like there was no tomorrow.

"I thought you weren't coming back!" she murmured instead.

I wiped her tears away when we release our hug. I smiled and said, "I did promise to visit you when there’s a chance, didn't I?" she nodded while sniffling.

Before she could reply, Ereia grabbed me and engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug while sobbing. She was murmuring something, scolding me in the process about why it took me too long to visit. She thought she would never see me again.

Afterward, I gave a squeeze hug to Claudette, Nicole, Zaphe, Leemin, and Zenon, who were also in tears.

After our brief reunion, we introduced Bryle and the others to the group.

It turns out that Joaquin and Venice knew each other. They met before when Joaquin was looking for us. And I can feel the sudden tension beside me, I saw Leena roll her eyes and eyebrows furrowed together while glancing at Joaquin and Venice who were talking to each other. "You know where to find her, Luna," Ereia said and smiled while winking at me.

"I guess, I should go see her?" I said, and they nodded with a smile. I looked at Zenon and he nodded with a smile. “She misses you. Go on,” he said.

"Leena—" before I could finish my sentence, Leena cut me off. "I know. Go. And talk to her." I nodded and smiled faintly.

I saw Bryle crease his forehead in confusion, but I just smiled at him. I know Ereia and the others will explain to them. Hence, I quickly teleported to where I knew Alesia was at this moment.

I saw her leaning against the tree with her eyes shut firmly. She fell asleep but her brows furrowed together like she was having a bad dream.

I sat beside her and felt refreshed as the wind breeze gently brushed my skin.

Slowly, Alesia opened her eyes when she feels my presence. Our gazes met and locked for a few seconds.

She looked inexplicably surprised, and I saw the longing in her eyes. She rubbed her eyes and blinked multiple times incredulously.

"Luna..." she muttered weakly. "I'm not dreaming right?" she mumbled softly; pinched her cheek and slapped her face lightly. Her eyes widened when I burst into laughter.

She screamed at the sudden realization. "Waah, Luna!" she hugged me so tight—a bone-crushing hug, but I didn't mind. I know how much she misses me.

I could feel my shoulders getting wet because of her tears. She's crying...

"I miss you so much..." she said in between sobbing.

"I miss you too," I said with a smile.

When we released our hug, I gently wiped her tears away. "Don't cry. I hate seeing you cry." I said softly.

"I can't believe you're here," she said while gently rubbing my face.

I just smiled. "Tell me how you've been doing all this time?"

"Hmm." she hummed.

Alesia happily told me that she and Zenon are in a relationship. Thinking I was gone, she fell into depression and it was Zenon who helped her slowly face the world. As time goes by, Zenon manages to get her heart.

I’m happy for her because she finally moved on; although, I know I still have a part in her heart. Even though she doesn't want to admit it, I know how she feels. However, I only see her as my best friend and I know Alesia and Zenon could make a good couple because they were fated for each other. What Alesia felt for me before was just an infatuation. I know that from the start.

"Why aren't you at Zenon's duel?" I asked after we talked about what her life was like when I left. We talked about everything that we missed about each other.

Alesia will always be my best friend. She is the closest to me of all my friends because I can tell her everything. Well, of course, Leena is my number one bestfriend.

"Ah, I forgot!" she slapped her forehead like she was in trouble. I giggled and teased her.
