We have arrived at our final destination unfortunately it is taking forever to be granted access to our new home.

"My mate and I are expected." Tony hands the wolf shifter the letter saying we could come stay here.

"I understand and I'm very sorry. Things have been a bit hectic the last few months and things have been misplaced. I have to wait for my superior".

Antonio is ready to flip his lid but he's holding our cub, Gabriel, in his arms so I'm hoping he can hold it together. Gabriel is very aware of Tony's emotions.

The wolf shifter pulls out his phone and makes a call. I was always under the impression that wolf shifters had the ability to communicate in their minds.

He hangs up the phone and says it will just be a while longer. I'm getting really nervous now. This is the third wolf we've talked to... I get that this is the Royal Wolf Pack but could nobody tell the guards that we were coming?

Tony just huffs in frustration while Gabriel fusses to get down. He's starting to get as frustrated as his Daddy.

It's another Twenty minutes before a black SUV pulls up and blue and blonde haired woman gets out followed closely by a very powerful trio.

"Thanks Finn." she says to him before turning to us, "Antonio, Cadence Welcome to the Royal Wolf Pack, I am Beta Sadie and this is Alpha Alester, Alpha Kody and Luna Kylah. Our leaders".

"Wow, it's a pleasure to meet you". I say surprised we're actually meeting the King's and Queen of Wolf shifters.

The Queen hasn't taken her eyes off of Gabriel she looks so excited, "Oh Sadie drop the formal shit they have a toddler and I want to go see him".

Beta Sadie sighs "Fine, again welcome to Blue Moon. Our Alpha's and our Luna would personally like to show you around and go over a few things. It's been wonderful to meet you but I have to go".

She promptly gets back in the SUV and leaves in the direction they came from.

"Don't mind her, she's having a rough time right now. Usually she's one of the nicest wolves in the pack." Alpha Alester says as he watches the SUV disappeared from sight.

The Luna Queen walks up to Tony and Gabriel and asks if she can hold Gabriel. She's bouncing excitedly and Antonio hands Gabriel over to her. Gabe immediately starts to giggle at her and she lights up.

"Little Wolf, I cannot wait for our cub to be this big".

"Slow down Little Luna, he's hardly out of the womb. Let's enjoy the baby phase." he replies back.

"I know but look at him, Kody he's soooooo cuuute." she's smitten with our little guy and he seems to really like her too.

She starts asking Tony about him. She's going to be an amazing mama. After a few minutes she hands Gabe back to Tony and comes over to talk to me while the Alpha's stay back and visit with Gabe and Tony.

I'm a little nervous. I never imagined I'd meet a Queen and I'm not sure what to do with myself.

"I am so happy to meet you" she says as she pulls me into a bone crushing hug.

"Some of the other packs have told us about what's been happening and I am so sorry. Nobody should go through what you've been through, especially while pregnant. I can't even imagine how exhausted you were and are. Please stay as long as you want, I mean that. You are welcome here permanently".

I tear up, she's so sweet. None of the other Luna's we met gave me a second glance and here's this very recently pregnant Queen fussing over me.

"If you are ready and ok with it I'd like to personally show you to the cabin and the cave that is close by for your hybernation".

"That would be wonderful, thank you".

She calls that wolf over, "Finn go get the ATVs please and a helmet for this little angel" she says as the boys all come over.

She once again takes Gabe from Tony and gets him ready for our ride.

"Hey sweetheart, are you alright?" he asks me.

He pulls me close and I can't answer do to the flood of tears. After a few minutes I get my bearings.

"Antonio... I... I have a confession." he looks worried.

I've been keeping a secret from him because I didn't want him to hurt but I can't hide it from him anymore... and when the Luna called Gabriel a little angel it set me off.

"What's wrong, was it something someone here said? We don't have to stay." he holds me protectively.

"No no, They are amazing... you can feel their love and concern for everyone. It's really a beautiful feeling".

"Then what's got you so upset?"

"We... Tony I'm so sorry I kept this from you..."

"Cadence, baby, you're worrying me".

He cups my face in his hands and wipes my tears with his thumbs. The Queen seems to have sensed the severity of what I'm going to say and has moved everyone in our area away for privacy.

"We were pregnant again but... I... I lost it." I burst into a full on ugly cry.

He holds me close and let's me cry into his chest. I worry about Gabe seeing me this way but the Luna has him distracted with the King's, Finn and the ATV.

"I'm so sorry Tony".

"Don't apologize, not to me. If I hadn't accepted you then you'd probably have two healthy and happy cubs with André".

He let's go of me and goes to the truck... I... I didn't mean to bring up these feelings in him again.

"Tony?"

He doesn't answer. He's trying to punish himself for the pain he thinks he's caused me.

"Is everything alright? Luna Queen Kylah asks me.

"Not really but our relationship has always been complicated." I replied sadly.

"The beta females and I are going to the spa this weekend would you like to join us?"

"I would love that but I can't".

"If money is the problem, don't worry about it we booked the whole place for the entire weekend so one or fifteen more won't matter".

I think about it and tell her I'll let her know tomorrow. Tonight Tony and I need to be together.

The Luna and one of her King's stay to show us around. The other apologized because he had to get back to work.

Almost an hour after we get out to the cabin and after seeing the cave Finn reappears with dinner for us.

"Alpha Alester requested I bring you dinner and ask that his mates head home immediately".

"It is late and I'm sure you have things to do. Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything." the Luna says as she hugs me goodbye.

She also hugs Tony and then gives Gabriel a little kiss on the top of his head before they leave.

Tony says nothing. He hugs Gabriel goodnight but he won't look at or acknowledge me at all.

With Gabriel all tucked in I steel myself for a fight. Usually if Tony gets like this it's a battle trying to get through, to remind him I love him and no matter what, I'm his.

I cross the living space and go back to the kitchen. He's got his head resting on the counter. I run my hands over his back and shoulders before I hug him from behind resting my head on his back.

"I love you" I say to him.

"And I love you. I just feel so guilty for this life you have because of me. Gabriel should be growing up around his Uncle's and his Aunt's".

"Aunt's?" I question confused.

"Angel and Rayne." he says as if it's obvious.

"Antonio".

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry you went through the loss of our cub alone, I'm sorry we're on the run and that your life has been hell".

"Stop apologizing... Even though our life is hard I'd never want anything else. I want you, always".

Tony stands and turns so he can hold me. He lifts me on to the counter and stands between my knees.

"You're so beautiful".

I giggle when he kisses my mark his facial hair tickling me and sending ripples of pleasure to my core.
