Chapter 25 

Frank’s cold eyes conveyed his utmost disgust and disdain without the slightest attempt to conceal them. 

He thought, ‘Maria has no shame. I thought she had learned her lesson and toned down her cunning. I shouldn’t have expected her to change her true nature! 

He sneered and strode toward the bed. When he reached it, he looked down at the woman, who was covering herself with a blanket. 

Frank darted a disdainful look at Maria and mocked in a low, cold voice, “Why are you covering yourself up? You must be dying to flaunt your body to me since you’ve stripped down like that. What’s your game now? Playing hard to get?” 

Maria was ashamed and embarrassed, her fingers gripping the bedding tightly, and cried, “I didn’t mean it! I didn’t know you were coming back!” 

Frank did not buy it and asked, “You didn’t know?” He stared at Maria disdainfully and added, “You stripped down and lay on my bed. How could you not know I would come back?” 

Frank leaned forward and looked into Maria’s eyes, trying to pierce Maria’s heart with his icy eyes. He said, “Just let me know if you want to sleep with me. I’ll make you feel good.” He pinched Maria’s chin with his coarse fingers and forced her to look right at him. “After all, I’m satisfied with your body.” 

Maria felt her heart pounding faster, like it might jump out of her chest. She hurriedly denied, “No. I didn’t have such thoughts.” 

Frank impatiently cut off Maria, saying, “Enough!” He mocked, “I know exactly what kind of person you are. Pretending to be innocent just makes me sick!” 

Maria shuddered. She seemed to get used to Frank’s sarcastic words. However, she wondered if Frank was mocking her or really wanted it. 

Maria thought, ‘If he means it and wants it…” Her body tensed up at the mere thought.

Thus, Frank sneered and said, “Maria, just give it to me. Have you forgotten that we are legally married? I can do anything to you.” In Maria’s eyes, Frank was like a demon from hell. 

Frank suddenly leaned forward and lowered his head to kiss Maria’s tantalizing lips fiercely. He deeply kissed Maria to punish her for seducing him again and again. 

He did not have any feelings but carnal desire for Maria, using her to release his urges. 

Frank’s actions made Maria’s heart race, and she felt discomfort. Despite the heat around them, her heart stayed cold. 

Her struggle was the game of playing hard to get in Frank’s eyes. Despair drowned her like the endless ocean. 

When Frank was done, Maria was so tired that she passed out. She curled up her body as if she were an insecure baby. Her innocent face shone like a flawlessly beautiful gem. 

Frank thought, ‘She could have easily deceived me with that appearance if I didn’t know who she was.‘ 

He snorted and got off the bed, heading to the bathroom with broad steps to clean up. 

Frank walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later. He saw Maria still lying on the messy bed with crumpled sheets and her long hair scattering behind her head. 

Maria shut her eyes tightly, furrowing her brow, beads of cold sweat appearing on her forehead. 

She seemed frightened by her nightmare as she murmured, “It wasn’t me. I didn’t push her. I swear. Why didn’t you trust 

me?”
