Kendrick did appear to be taking pleasure in it. His subtle smile showed satisfaction.
Samantha huffed coldly to herself to express her dissatisfaction with Kendrick. She retreated a few steps. Still, she had to sit beside Kendrick.
On Kendrick’s other side, a woman sat demurely with her head bowed.
“Mr. Ford, who is this?”
The man had finally noticed Samantha.
“My secretary.”
“I’m Sophia.”
Samantha stood up and gently clinked glasses with the man.
The man’s gaze traveled over Samantha. She did not match his impression of
women.
Unlike these tainted women, Samantha looked very pure. It ignited the imagination..
“Mr. Smith, you seem to be very interested in my secretary?”
Kendrick’s gaze became chilly.
He looked at Samantha impassively when he noticed Chandler looking afraid.
Samantha was calmly snacking, unaffected by the atmosphere at the dining table.

Samantha was slightly startled. She should have realized it earlier.
Kendrick detested it when people requested him to do something, even if they were
only asking.
Although the contract was already signed, Chandler still hesitated to express any dissatisfaction. He could only show his sincerity toward Kendrick in order to hold
on to a big client like him.
It was already late, and they had no intention of going down the mountain. Kendrick
and the others decided to stay overnight at the villa.
Despite Chandler being a part of the nouveau riche, the villa had a pretty good.
environment. The view here was also excellent. Many people came here on holiday

Samantha’s room wasn’t very luxurious. However, one of its good points was that it
was a distance away from Kendrick’s room.
Late that night, she sat on the side of the bed. She shut the doors and windows. She
then called Conrad in her pajamas.
“We lost the territory in the previous contract. Kendrick’s already secured a new one.
“He has the ability to do it.”
Conrad sounded as though he was smiling. It was unclear if he was praising
Kendrick or mocking him.
Samantha rubbed her forehead.

She asked tentatively, “You were behind Robb’s abduction of me, weren’t you?”
On the other end of the line, Conrad grew silent. He did not speak for a long time.
As your partner, I have the right to know the truth.”
Samantha’s eyes grew sharp.
“Yes. Two birds, one stone.”
Conrad’s statement sent chills down Samantha’s spine.
If she had been abducted by Robb without knowing the truth, she might genuinely have thought that Kendrick was the one behind it.
If she had been killed by Robb, it would only prove that Samantha wasn’t Kendrick’s weakness at all. It would have also demonstrated how little her value was.
She refrained from imagining what she would have done if Kendrick had really
forsaken her at the time.
Death would have been the only outcome.
“I’m very lucky. Let’s have a good collaboration.”
Samantha hung up.
She then sent information about the land they’d gotten in the contract today to
Conrad.
She stood up in the moonlight. Although Conrad hadn’t done anything wrong,
would never trust him again.

Samantha had a sleepless night. When she woke up the next morning, Chandler had
already invited Kendrick to play golf without her.
She needed more information to lure Kendrick into falling for her.
Samantha weighed the situation. She ultimately decided to hitch a ride over to the golf course that was on the mountain behind them. She could spot Kendrick from
afar. He was dressed in white.

attentively pouring water for him and fetching towels. They would have even put

Samantha laughed at her own imagination. She then resignedly walked over to greet
them.
“Oh, you got up so late. Even the boss is already up,” Chandler said sarcastically.
The women beside them started tittering.
Chandler was obviously trying to plant one of his own people by Kendrick’s side.
Kendrick focussed on the flag in the distance.
“Our boss is very busy. I only joined because I have so much free time.”
Samantha took a few steps back and watched Kendrick’s every move.
She had never intended to become Kendrick’s secretary. She was a designer.
Kendrick finally turned around and glanced at her.
“Come over here and take a swing.”
“I don’t know how.”
“Come here.”
Kendrick turned away again.
Samantha already knew that she could not disobey his commands.
She walked over to Kendrick in resignation and took the golf club. She had no idea
how to start.
Kendrick smiled enigmatically as he watched how she was holding the golf club. Finally, he could no longer stand it and grabbed her hand. Then he placed it on top
of the golf club..
