(Victor POV)

So instead of going inside and locking the door and letting us take the lead, the idiot closed the door and locked it from outside.Was it a mission of hers to meet god and make him love her?She picks the fallen javelin beside the door and as the monster reaches near her she thrusts it through it. But the monster was much more stronger than what we thought of it as. Just one hit and Jennifer was thrown to the far wall of the hallway. She was bleeding through various wounds and she had major wounds which were visible from this distance. Before the monster could reach her again a loud growl was heard.

Turning around we saw that Daniel had already shifted and now had black eyes which means his wolf was in control. He leaped towards the creature and almost made him fall down. Both were equally strong if compared in powers. None was lacking and only if one of them would get tired would end the brawl. And the chances of this situation taking place was far too less.

“The monster appears to be stronger because of the new moon. The darkness fuels it’s energy and strength. The only way to kill him is to strike him at exactly 3:00 am. But for killing him he should be brought under the full moon where the moon’s light would fall on him. But the issue is that the creature can suck the soul of the person who would be with him under the same light to gain energy hence leading to their death but it would make no use to him as once he is in the moonlight his energy would be sucked out leading to it’s death.” Everyone was shocked by Alice’s words. Turning to the opposite hallway I saw Hazel helping the neediest out of the place. Turning towards Jay, “Take care of Hazel for me.” And before he could utter another word I made a run towards the monster.

Daniel lands a hard blow on it which leads the monster to stagger behind. Before I could shift into my wolf form, a huge fire separates us from the monster. We all turn towards the origination and find Jennifer standing there. She looked towards Alice which confirms the theory of her hearing everything. She looks towards Daniel and shockingly smiles towards him. Daniel’s loud growl is heard as he tries to cross the fire. We all were still confused for what she was trying to do.

“Hey buddy, wanna have some kitty party with me.”No! She won’t do that right?The monster’s attention turns towards her. Jennifer starts running in the opposite direction from us. We follow her from the opposite hallway as the hallway she was running from was separated by the fire. She reaches the gates first as the opposite hallway is a little bigger than the one she was using. She was successful enough to bring the monster out from the castle gates and into the open grounds. Before we could follow her out we were separated by an invincible shield which kept us away from the open grounds and safe in the castle. The shield I recognized was the one I had read in our ancient mythologies. It was created by the moon goddess to keep us safe from the harm caused through the harmful rays of the new moon.

The clock had struck 3. Daniel who was now in his human form fully clothed. I guess it must be the doings of Andrew. “Jenni.” This was the first time he had said her name. No not only name. We all were shocked to hear feelings and emotions in it. The boy who never showed feelings after his mother’s death was now desperately looking towards a girl whom he had almost rejected on their first meet itself. He was looking towards his mate. We all had understood one thing by now, that the idiot was somehow successful to make him fall for her.

A loud painful screech pulls me out from the beautiful future of theirs I had started building in my imagination. The monster was on Jennifer pinning her down from her neck. The moonlight starts falling on him slowly. We all see his power been sucked out and next we know, Jennifer had stabbed him on his heart with her pocket knife. They both fell apart. The monster turned into nothingness and that’s when our eyes turned towards Jennifer.

Her soul was sucked out of her. In the moment where we saw him pinning her down, he was actually sucking her soul and with last remaining power she killed him. Now she was lying there movementless. The second the moon was fully out the shield around us disappeared. And next we know Daniel had Jennifer in his arms. Before we could even reach near them Daniels angry growls stop us. Everyone’s eyes turned towards Andrew who was watching her from a distance. He shakes his head sidewards as a negative gesture.

She was dead.
