I didn’t know how this was possible, it seemed so good to be regarded as a coincidence. But to think that Stanley was the Beta of Greenwood Pack was something I would never have imagined. 

“What are you doing here? I didn’t see you at home when I left for work, so I had to rush back to this place when I was done so I would start looking for you. Are you okay?” He asked, his voice filled with concern. 

I didn’t get why he would be worried though, it wasn’t like we knew each other well or had a special relationship with each other. 

How do you guys know each other?” John asked, folding his arms as he sat on the couch. I had been expecting that question ever since he found out that I knew Stanley. 

He was the person who helped me when I came to this pack. I had nowhere to go and he helped me settle down,” I answered truthfully, but he kept staring at me with a blank look, like he didn’t believe what I was saying. 

“I don’t think Stanley is the type to help a stranger when he doesn’t know if she is a threat to him or not, Gamma David chimed in, smacking his tongue against his lips.

“Explainable? What is? How did the both of you meet and why would she be living here from now on?” Gamma David asked and I smiled. He seemed to be as inquisitive as I was and I knew we were going to get along just fine. 

“I was kidnapped in the marketplace by some group of bandits and he saved me while I was trying to escape from them, ” 

Kidnapped? Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere? What about the baby?” Stanley questioned, getting so worked up and I smiled to reassure him. 

“I’m fine and the babies are fine. I’m actually having twins, you know,” I revealed and his eyes widened in

surprise. The news was enough to brighten his face, making me smile widely.

Bandits at the marketplace? Do you mean those assholes?” Gamma David asked and John nodded in response.” Have we finally caught them?” He asked again and John nodded, making him stand up and do a small dance. 

A laugh left my lips before I could control it and I instantly placed my hands on my lips, muttering a word of apology to him. 

“Welcome to our house, Jane,” he grinned at me and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting him to say that. He must really be nice like John said. 

Thank you, Gamma, “I responded, but he frowned at me. 

What’s with the formalities? Since you are living here now, I’ll treat you like a younger sister, so you should treat me like family too,” he insisted and I had no option but to agree. There was no need trying to argue with him in a situation like this. 

I was finally allowed to go to my room after they asked me a few more questions which I answered truthfully. I was beginning to feel sleepy and it made no sense to still stay there with them when I knew they had a lot to talk about. 

I heard a knock on my door and I gave permission to whoever it was that wanted to enter the room. 

Wow! Jane, I didn’t know you were so popular,” John commented, entering inside the room and I snorted, shaking my head. He was being ridiculous.

“I just wanted to check up on you, but I hesitated a bit in case you were calling again,” he teased and I sneered

You really do know how to hold a grudge, you know?” I whined. All of a sudden, my stomach growled loudly and that was when I noticed that he was holding a plate of pancakes. He chuckled and placed it on the bed. 

Stanley made it for you. He said your stomach had been growling since you sat beside him, so he made it for you as you left,” he informed as I took a bite and he went to sit on the sofa.

“Don’t be mistaken, Jane. I’m going to watch you take your medicine after eating, so eat up so I can go to bed, he uttered and I began to eat fast since I didn’t want to be the one keeping him awake. 

After taking the multivitamins and pain killer, he took the plates and left the room, muttering a good night. I smiled as I laid on the bed, heaving out a contented sigh. 

I had totally forgotten that I was supposed to take my medicines and if he didn’t remind me, I wouldn’t have done that at all. 

I closed my eyes and this time around, flashes of Damien’s face didn’t appear. Instead, I saw the three guys smiling at me. 

I gently opened my eyes, wondering how my life was going to be with them around me. Would I be able to let go. of my feelings for Damien and finally live peacefully with my babies and the three of them? Would their existence in my life change it for the better or the worse? 

I couldn’t help but have all those thoughts in mind as I drifted into sleep.
