Ch 5

Tarnac pov

I took Trinity inside and up to my room, setting her on the bed. While I sat on the side of the bed just looking at her. She just stares at me when she snuggles down into my bed smelling my scent all over the sheets. I move my hand and run it through her black hair that’s put back in a bun and I start to take out the hair tie. She sits up and when I undo it the hair falls down to her waist in curls and I just look like I’m mesmerized. She looks like she’s my mate in every way.

I have tan skin from working out in the sun every day with jet black hair. Once her hair falls down I run my fingers through it when she looks straight at me. She slowly moves towards me and stops right in front of me kneeling when I just look in her green eyes. I can see Ava in the background pacing and I know what she wants to do. Antar wants the same thing amongst mounting and trying to pup her. She still needs to heal and will give her time.

I bare my neck to her when she smiles, kissing down my neck and in an instant feel her plunge her canines into my neck. I let out a roar that shook the room, and held her tight to me. I feel her teeth leave my neck followed by her tongue running across the mark which makes Antar purr to Ava. She purrs back and knows it’s her turn.

I look over at her when I trace my finger down her neck watching her tilt her head. She tilts it to the side, baring her neck to me when my canines come out in response. I just watch her melt at my touch and whimper in response to me taking so long. I snake my arm around her waist pulling her to my chest slowly placing kisses down her neck. I wait till I get to the perfect spot when a shiver goes up her spine making her moan. I scrape my teeth across the area when I hear the sweetest voice whisper.

“Please Alpha.”

I smirked when I used my other hand to grab her hair while holding her still when I sunk my teeth down into her neck. She tries to throw her head back screaming when I hold her in place relishing in the sound. But soon I realize there’s something very wrong. I quickly withdrew my canines, closing her wound. When she is covering her neck screaming looking at me petrified. I don’t understand what did I do? I quickly mind link the doctor when he comes running up to the room barging in.

She is writhing around in pain and Antar doesn’t understand what’s going on. The doctor gives her a quick shot and soon she is quiet resting when he just sits on the edge of the bed.

“What’s wrong with her?”

“I don’t know Alpha. Her wolf doesn’t know either. You two are mates. But by mating her it has set off something inside her. I will try to find out what could be happening by making phone calls on my end.”

I nod my head when I move her to the middle of the bed and crawl in holding her in my arms. Ava doesn’t know what’s going on either. So I just sit here and wait hopefully till we get some kind of answers. I just look at her and brush her hair out of the way when I see someone in white standing behind her. I just watch when she sits down running her hands over Trinity.

“Tarnac I know you’re scared. Don’t be, she will be fine. She is very, very special as you know but don’t know why. I’m here to tell you. When Raston went after her he knew what he was doing. He was working with outside forces to try to end her. He will come back and try again. They want her dead, but she is very special. The oracle knew you were going to mark her the moment you found out you were her second chance mate. So she started the process when she touched her head. Trinity knew things would be changing but she probably assumed it was because of the marking. Except it will be much more than that. You will have them coming after her and traitors in your own pack. They will all be used to try and get to her. Listen to her because she knows when it will be time to run and when it will be time to fight.”

“Who are you? Why would my pack not want a Luna? Why would they go after her?”

“I’m the Moon Goddess. They want a Luna but not her. Those traitors have been turned to go after her if she should become your mate. She was not supposed to be your mate. It looks like you set it all up so you could have her because you knew she was special. They saw the way you were standing up for her in the cafeteria, and how you doted on her after she was hurt. The person you pointed the finger at was her mate. Who then rejected her so then you could be with her. Although the traitors knew that if you took her they would have to then kill her.”

“That’s not at all how it went down. I had no clue he was going to end up as her mate. I mean yes when I saw her white wolf I knew she was special and I wanted her for myself. But not until giving her the rightful time to try and find her mate first.”

I just see her smile and run her finger over Trinity’s head making her shift her weight.

“Once she wakes up she will need to be somewhere safe to shift. The pain is because things are changing and shifting around. She will need to be able to shift. Wait till you see her new wolf. She will be so beautiful. Protect her with everything and when she says run you need to run with her. Have your Beta hold down the pack while you run with her. She will protect both of you while you run. They want her and her only. She holds information that they want. Just trust her Tarnac.”

I nod my head when she gets up to leave and when she turns she’s just gone. I just look down at Trinity wondering what will be in our future. Having to always be in charge to now having to take a back seat to her and let her be in charge will probably be the hardest thing I will ever have to do. To know I have traitors in my pack that want her dead is already blowing my mind. I mind link Torad to ask if we have somewhere in the house that she will be able to shift safely when he suggested the conference room. Perfect, it’s got high ceilings and lots of room.

‘Great, get everything out of it. We need as much room as possible. Get tons of blankets and pillows.’

I quickly get up with a blanket of mine that has my scent and pick up Trinity to carry her to the conference room. Antar gets Ava to just listen about what will be happening so don’t panic and to keep Trinity calm. We will get through this. On the way I mind link the doctor to be there to support her. Dunno what he can do since he won’t be able to stop it, but having him there may help me stay calm. When we get in there I see a pile of pillows and blankets in the middle of the room with guards around the room. I yell for everyone to get out when Torad just stares at me.

I explained what the Moon Goddess said and he nodded his head swearing he is not in on it. He stood at the front door to protect us when the doctor knocked and was grabbed by Torad wanting to know if he was involved. His face turned white and I knew he was ok. I quickly explain what will be happening when the meds wear off, and he just stares in shock. I make sure she’s comfortable in the center when I just leant over kissing her. I sit down next to her while we wait. Her meds should wear off within the next five to ten minutes.

I’m stressed out beyond belief when I’m elbowed by the doctor handing me a flask. I just look wide eyed at him when I said to myself fuck it and took a swig. I hand it back when he takes a swig also.

“This job isn’t the easiest, and every once in a while after a bad day you just need a drink.”

I just nod my head when I see a whimper and look at Trinity staring wide eyed at me. I quickly grab her and hold her to my chest to try and ease the pain when she throws her head back screaming a blood curdling scream. Her scream aside from piercing our ears shakes the ground and walls enough that Torad has to brace himself. I hear breaks happening and keep trying to soothe her when she just keeps screaming with every break.

This continues for what seems like forever when at some point she started shifting to her wolf and I had to let go. When she is just about done she lets out one final scream that sends out a flash of light so bright we had to quickly cover our eyes to protect them. It lasts for just a few seconds before it goes away.

I shake my head and look over to Trinity who is standing there and is still small but her coat now has a silver sheen to the fur. I run my hands through her fur and I’m amazed at how soft it is. She quickly shifts back when I throw her a shirt to put on which she throws over her head. I see her slowly stand up motioning for Torad to step to the side. She stands there when her eyes go white staring at the door. In a split second she changes them back to green when she looks straight at me.

“They’re coming for me. They are being let in through the border.”

The moment we hear her say that we get a notice of a breach on the south side. I look at her when she tells me what I had a feeling I would hear.

“We need to run now!”
