The car ride really dragged. For a long time, I tried my best to fall asleep, but in this very uncomfortable position with my hands tied behind my back, it didn’t succeed.

I was so hungry; my stomach was rumbling. I was sure Sigmund could hear it too considering how loudly it was. But being the cruel kidnapper he was, he neglected me.

To pass the time, I began to tug at the rope tied around my wrists, hoping I could loosen it. But it made it tighter instead.

“Stop it, Princess! It’s no use. You’ll never be able to break it,” he told me coldly. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Ignoring him, I constantly pulled at the rope. But even after my wrists started to bruise, it wouldn’t budge yet.

“I told you it’s useless,” he mocked me. “Quit it now!”

I didn’t listen to his words and continued wriggling my arms about. Slowly, I felt blood trickling down my arm. But stubbornly I refused to cease struggling.

All of a sudden, Sigmund grabbed my shoulders roughly. “I said stop struggling! Don’t you realize where you are right now? You’re in a car full of vampires for goodness’ sake. You don’t know the effect of your blood can bring to us.”

I froze. He was right. I was surrounded by a group of vampires right now. My blood could attract them. What if they bite and kill me?

“I’m sorry. Please don’t hurt me!” I pleaded.

“We won’t hurt you. But you promise you’ll stop struggling?” he squeezed my shoulders, making me hiss in pain.

I nodded. “Yes.”

“Yes what?” He snapped at me.

“Y—yes,” I stammered, “I promise I am going to stop struggling.”

“Good!” He lastly let go of my shoulders.

I rested my back against the leather seat, trying to calm down. Suddenly, my stomach grumbled again.

“I’m hungry,” I whispered.

“I told you you’re not going to eat anything until we get to my home. This is your punishment for trying to escape,” he said fiercely.

“Look! I don’t know if vampires need to eat or not. But I am a human. I need to eat or else I would die of starving,” I explained desperately.

“You won’t die just because you don’t eat for a day or two,” Sigmund said coldly.

“Can you at least give me some water? Please!” I begged. I was so thirsty. My mouth felt as dry as a bone.

Sigmund let out a frustrated sigh. There was a silence for a few seconds until I heard the sound of a cap of mineral water bottle being opened.

Sigmund brought the bottle to my lips. “Drink!” he ordered while titling the bottle to allow refreshing water to flow down my throat.

However, before I could quench my thirst completely, he already removed the bottle from my mouth.

“Hey I’m still thirsty,” I protested.

“That’s enough! We still have a long journey ahead of us. We don’t have time for a toilet break,” he said.

“Oh God, you’re so annoying!” I yelled frustratingly, but he ignored me.

We sat in silence for the next couple of hours and I was getting bored.

“Are we there yet?” I asked impatiently

“Not yet,” he answered.

“Are we there yet?” I repeated after a few minutes passed by.

“No,” he replied.

A few minutes later, I asked again, “Are we there yet?”

“I said no,” he snapped at me.

Instead of being afraid of him, I chose to ask again, challenging him, “Are we there yet?”

“Can you stop asking me the same question over and over again?” he bellowed.

“Maybe if I could see where we were going, I didn’t have to ask you repeatedly,” I retorted.

“Stop! I’ve had enough of your lip!” Sigmund said in annoyed tone.

He suddenly forced my mouth open, shoved a cloth into it, and tied it around my head, gagging me.

“Hmm... hmm...” I screamed into the gag.

“Ah finally silence,” he mocked me while chuckling.

I was so angry with him. But I couldn’t do anything about it since I was bound, gagged, and blindfolded. So I just leaned my head against the window and started counting the time that went by.

“Wake up!” Someone shook my shoulders violently.

It’s weird. I didn’t remember falling asleep. I opened my eyes but all I could see was darkness. I began to panic but then remembered that I was being blindfolded now.

“Wake up, Princess!” someone repeated. I recognized this voice. It belonged to Sigmund, my kidnappers’ leader.

I tried to ask him what happened but my voice was muffled by the gag.

“We’re here,” Sigmund announced.

My legs were trembling with fear. We finally arrived at his house. I didn’t know what he held in store for me.
