Rosangela’s Point of View:

“Thank you very much for today, Maximilian,” I said gratefully after we had returned to the kingdom of Clanbella. Now, Prince Maximilian and I were in my bedroom.

“Not at all, it was a pleasure,” Prince Maximilian replied with a smile.

“Excuse me, where shall we put this, Your Highness?” asked one of the guards who were carrying an entertainment wall into my bedroom. I found the entertainment wall in the warehouse a few minutes ago, and I thought it would be perfect place to put the TV set that Prince Maximilian had bought for me.

“Please put it across my bed!” I ordered.

Those guards did what I said immediately. Not long after, other guards came and they placed the TV set on the entertainment wall.

“What about the fridge, Your Highness?” another guard enquired, jerking his head to the mini fridge that was still situated at the doorway.

“Please put the fridge over there!” I pointed to the corner of the room.

The guards bowed their heads and then moved the mini fridge to where I wanted it.

“And you Lupita, please put all the snacks and soft drinks that Prince Maximilian had bought for me yesterday into the fridge!” I requested.

“Yes, My Lady.” Without wasting time, Lupita did my order soon.

“Mirabelle, what the hell is going on here? What did you bring to my palace?” King Bellamy suddenly burst into my bedroom. S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Seeing their furious king appeared here, all of the guards and maids who were in this room hurriedly scurried out of my bedroom. Thus, there were only me, Prince Maximilian, and King Bellamy here now.

“Calm down, Grandpa! It’s just a TV set. I feel bored because there is no any entertainment here. So I asked Prince Maximilian to buy me the TV set. And he also purchased a mini fridge for me to store the snacks and soft drinks that he had bought for me yesterday,” I explained.

“You shouldn’t have asked Prince Maximilian to buy you all of these, Mirabelle. If want something, you must ask me, not ask from other people,” the vampire king scolded me.

“But Grandpa, I—”

Before I could finish my sentence, King Bellamy had turned to Prince Maximilian and apologized to him “I’m sorry that my granddaughter has put you to a lot of trouble, Prince Maximilian.”

“That’s all right, Your Majesty,” Prince Maximilian said, “I don’t mind buying all of them for Princess Mirabelle. However, I’m her future husband. I just want to make her happy.”

“I’m so proud of you, Prince Maximilian.” King Bellamy gave him a pat on the back. “You’ve become so close to my granddaughter in a very short time.”

“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Maximilian beamed.

“Seeing how close you’re to each other, I think I should announce your engagement soon,” the vampire king said.

“Grandpa, it’s too soon to announce my engagement with Prince Maximilian. I think we shouldn’t hurry about this. I want to get to know him better first,” I protested.

“No, Mirabelle. I’ve decided that your engagement party will be held the day after tomorrow.”

“But Grandpa—”

“No buts, Mirabelle,” the vampire king interrupted, “I’ve made my decision and you can’t change my mind.”

Before I could argue, King Bellamy already stormed off.

“Grandpa, wait!” I was about to run after my grandfather, but suddenly Prince Maximilian grabbed my arm, holding me back.

“Don’t run after him, Rosanne! I don’t want him to reprimand you again,” Maximilian said.

I struggled from his grip. “Get off me, Maxim! I have to convince King Bellamy to call off the engagement party.”

He frowned. “Why do you want him to cancel our engagement party?”

“Because this is my life, Maxim. He should have asked me first before deciding anything. Especially it’s about my future,” I answered.

Prince Maximilian finally let go of my arm. However, he then held both of my hands gently.

“I understand that you’re upset, Rosanne. But look at the bright side of this situation! I’ve promised you that I would take you to meet your family in London after we get married, right? So the sooner we get engaged, the quicker I marry you, and finally you’ll be able to see your family again.”

“I really want to meet my family again. But I’m not ready for this engagement or marriage yet, Maxim. I’m only sixteen. I don’t want to have children at a very young age,” I explained.

“I know you’re still too young. That’s why I won’t try anything to you until you’re ready. I promise,” he reassured me.

'Shall I trust him?' I thought.

I wanted to slap myself because for a moment I forgot that Maximilian was a mind reader.

Instead of commenting to what I just thought, Maximilian said, “Don’t be upset again, okay? Let’s go to the city again tomorrow night to buy our engagement ring and your dress!”

“But my grandfather—”

“Don’t worry!” he butted in, “I will talk to King Bellamy. I’m sure he will allow us to go if it’s for our engagement.”

I nodded.

“Now, why don’t we watch a movie that we’ve just bought?” Maximilian suggested.

Yes, after Sigmund left, I and Prince Maximilian a went to a CD store. Prince Maximilian bought a lot of DVD from all genres of movies for me. He said that we would watch those movies together later.

“Okay,” I replied.
