Chapter 10

Yesterday night, I had heard Alec walk into the room. And I had felt him pick me up and lay me on the bed.

When I woke up this morning, I looked up to see Alec sleeping on the sofa.

I stood up from the bed, and made the bed quietly. I walked to the door when I heard his voice.

“It’s still early. It’s only 6. Go back to sleep Emily” he said and I turned around to see him moving his arm from his head and looking at me.

“I wake up at this time” I replied and he shrugged

“Fine” he said getting up from the sofa

“You can go back to sleep” I said and he nodded

“Don’t flatter yourself. I am” he rolled his eyes and laid in bed

“Close the door behind you” he said and I nodded.

I walked out the door and closed it behind me and went to my room. I walked towards the closet and picked out my outfit(on side)

When me and Oliver went shopping, I had told Oliver that I don’t know what goes with what. So Oliver numbered them for me. And he had told me which clothes I can wear together. At first he said I can wear it however I want, but I still asked him because I didn’t know it.

I got changed into my clothes and wore my black flip flops. I left my hair opened and walked out the room. I went downstairs to the kitchen to see Alec standing there.

I was about to turn around when he stopped me.

“You can stay. I don’t bite” he mumbled and I nodded

“Sorry” I said and walked to the stool and sat down. I just stared at the counter until he gave me a plate of waffles. Cameron bought me cook books so I know how to make everything but I never used it because all that was cooked in the house was pasta.

“Eat it then” he told me and I nodded

“Sorry” I mumbled as he rolled his eyes and gave me a knife and fork.

I cut the waffle and tasted a little bit of it. I actually like it.

“Thank you” I said and took another bite of it, just as the door opened and Anna walked in.

“Morning baby. Why couldn’t I sleep with you yesterday?” She asked walking towards Alec.

I tried to ignore them and carried on eating.

“Anna. You have to sleep in your own room from now on. I have to share a room with her” he pointed to me and I pushed the plate away.

“You don’t have to? I’m going to go home soon. Sam said he’s going to take me home soon” I said looking out the window at the sun shining

“No! I told you yesterday that you’re staying. Don’t you fucking get that!” He shouted and I nodded

“Sorry” I whispered and he groaned

“Get out! Leave!” He shouted and I nodded

I turned around and walked out the door to see Liam walking downstairs wit Nat and laughing.

“Oh hey Emily” Nat said walking towards me.

“Can I go outside?” I asked just as Alec walked out the kitchen.

“I need a fucking word with you” he pointed at me and I nodded.

I followed him slowly to his office as he closed the door behind me.

“Why are you cr-” he groaned

“Are you scared of me?” He asked and I shook my head

“You’re not meant to be scared of your mate” I mumbled and he rolled his eyes

“Look Emily. There is no mate. I’m not your mate okay...well technically I am but I don’t accept you as a mate. I love Anna. She’s the world to me. And I’m not going to give her up for a stupid girl who keeps fainting” he said and I nodded looking into his eyes.

“I’m sorry I keep fainting” I whispered and he groaned again.

“Will you stop saying sorry in every sentence. I just want to say something. You CAN’T leave this house! If you need anything tell Liam or Cameron. But you can’t leave this house!” He shouted and I nodded moving back a little.

“Can I go to my room please?” I asked and he nodded

“Go” he mumbled and I turned around and walked out the room. I ran upstairs ignoring Natalie calling me. I ran to my room and closed the door behind me and fell onto the bed crying.

Ava this isn’t how mates are right? I asked but she didn’t reply

“Emily open this door- oh” Nat said opening the door herself

“What’s wrong Emily? What did he say?” She asked sitting on the bed next to me.

“He said that I can’t leave this house. That he isn’t my mate” I cried as she hugged me

“I-I let him be with Anna, Nat. I know he loves her. And I’m happy that he is happy but I want to go back home.” I whispered as she wiped my eyes.

“You can. Look Alec doesn’t want to know about your powers so don’t tell him. But at night you can go out. He won’t know” she said and I shook my head

“But I have to be in the same room Nat. He can see me go” I replied and she smirked

“That’s what Anna is for. I’ll convince Anna to make him sleep with her. And then you go as long as you promise to come back. You do right?” She asked and I nodded

“Okay” I mumbled

“Good. You stay here and I’ll convince Anna. And then I’ll tell you what she said okay?” She questioned and I nodded

“Thank you Nat” I smiled and she rolled her eyes

“It’s okay Emily. I know how Alec can be. And this is most I can do for you” she said and then walked out the room.

Anna convinced Alec. I was in bed right now and it was 12 and dark.

Alec wasn’t in my room today, he was sleeping with Anna.

I moved the covers from myself, and stood up slowly. I didn’t want to risk it so I didn’t use the door.

I walked to the closet and grabbed one of Alec’s coats. I wore it, even though it was big in me.

I walked to the window and opened it slowly. I made a shield around me and jumped out of the window.

I flew up to sky and just looked down. Texas is an amazing place, it looks beautiful.I flew back down and stood on the ground. I removed the shield from myself and looked around. I was in the garden, and it seemed like it would never end.

Being a vampire, I could see in the dark and it looked amazing. There were lights everywhere. On the bushes and the trees.

I walked to flowers and touched them slowly, and they grew. I picked a red rose and smelt it. I like the garden

I turned around to see Alec standing there, staring at me, and I jumped and fell down on the floor.

“I told you! I fucking told you NO!” He shouted and I nodded, and looked at the floor.

“I’m sorry” I whispered and he grabbed my arm and pulled me up.

Sparks I can feel them. I thought smiling slightly and just looking at his hand on my arm.

“STOP! Go inside” he shouted pushing me forward, removing his hand. I walked inside slowly and walked upstairs to my room.

He followed me and closed the door behind him.

“Why didn’t you listen to me?” He asked leaning on the door and I turned around and looked at him.

“I really want to go outside” I mumbled and he scoffed

“Tough luck. You’re staying in this room” he said and opened the door. He closed the door and locked it.

“Now try to get out. And if you use the fucking window, it won’t be good” he muttered behind the door and I heard him walk away.

“Why do you hate me?” I whispered.
