Chapter 20

Do you know where Alec is?” I asked Liam and he shrugged

“I’m not sure. I haven’t seen him since morning” he replied pulling Nat upstairs.

When I woke up, Alec wasn’t in bed. I got dressed and then went to his office but he wasn’t there as well. And its 3 o’clock and I don’t know where he is.

“Miss me?” Someone covered my eyes and I took a deep breath.

“Where were you?” I turned around to see Alec smirking

“I went to get something. Are you ready for our date?” He asked

“Can I get changed? Where are we going?” I asked as he interwined our fingers together.

“You look beautiful and it’s a surprise” he smiled and I blushed, following him outside

We sat in the car and he started driving.

“Al least tell me where we are going? I don’t like surprise” I said and he nodded

“Okay. I was thinking we could go to a cliff, there is one in our territory. And I was thinking we could go on a picnic. Like under the stars- but if you don’t want to then we don’t have to. We could go-” he was rambling

I touched his hand on the gear box, and he looked at me.

“I love the stars” I smiled and he nodded

After 30 minutes we reached a dead end. Alec got out and opened the door for me.

“We have to walk from here.” He helped me out and I nodded

He walked to the back of the car, and opened the boot to get a few blankets and a big brown box.

He held my hand and we walked through the forest. We reached a big cliff, and Alec laid the blankets on the floor. It was 4 o’clock now and it was still sunny outside.

“Come here Emily” Alec sat down and patted the space next to him.

I sat down on the blanket next to him, as he pulled out containers from the box.

“I don’t know what you like? So I bought everything I like and other things. I know you love cake, so I made you one” he pulled out a big box of chocolate cake and gave it to me.

“Thank you!” I exclaimed

“I want to get to know everything about you Emily. Everything you have done in your life, everything you like,dislike. I want to know everything” he smiled and handed me a box of fries with pizza

“I think everyone likes pizza so that’s why I bought it. There fries as well. Do you like pizza?” He asked and I nodded

“I think I do. I could try” I looked at the triangle pizza slices in the box.

“Here I bought plates as well” he gave me a plate and I nodded.

“What do you want to know about me?” I asked taking a slice of the pizza. It tasted delicious

“Your favourite things” he said taking a bite from his pizza.

“Well I like cake? I don’t like pasta-” he moved a box behind him

“No! I do like pasta but not to much. I mean I have had it every single day and I feel sick sometimes. Anyway.....I like the colour red. It seems like blood” I mumbled and he was a little shocked

“I like black! And black and red go together great.” He said and I smiled slightly

“Alec...I’m not always like this” I muttered as I finished my two pizza slices.

“What do you mean Emily?” He asked confused

It’s right I tell him

“I mean.. I know how people think I’m innocent and naive. Or I’m stupid. But I’m not. I know everything that happens Alec. I’m a monster” I looked him straight in the eye.

“Emily just because you aren’t innocent or naive, does not make you a monster” he held my hand and I shook my head

“No Alec I am. I have killed people” I whispered and he tightened his hand

“I have killed people as well Emily.” He muttered sighing

“No Alec. You killed people to protect your pack. I’ve killed innocent people” he let go of my hand

“Emily I don’t-”

“No Alec. Everyone thinks I’m innocent and I’m not. I have killed so many innocent people for just entering the house, for answering back. But it wasn’t for me. Cameron. He made me do it all”

“Then why didn’t you run away?” He asked quietly

“How could I Alec? Yes I had powers but they gave me a pill every two hours. And my powers would go. I was scared. Scared of dying. Scared for getting hit. I was only 6 when I was kidnapped-” he cut me off with shaking his head

“Emily I don’t want to know” he told me

“But this is part of me Alec. I have to tell you. I was 6 when I was kidnapped, and I didn’t even know what was happening. At the age of 6, I was locked in a room, and just told me to sit there. I was given food and that’s it. When I turned ten, that’s when I found my powers. And it hurt. And nobody was with me. I asked Cameron to help me, but he didn’t move from the corner. After that day everything changed for me. When I got my powers, I was given 1 hour everyday to practise. And I did try to run away. I used my powers on them. But Cameron- h-he found me. I had ran away from them, but Cameron found me. He hit me so bad Alec. I had so many bruises on my body, I couldn’t even look at myself. After that I didn’t try to escape. When I turned 13, he made me wear a nightgown or a bra and panties set and walk around. I didn’t want to Alec but I was scared of getting hit. I was only 13. And when I turned 18, I tried to run again. I thought I was more clever, and I could run this time. But Cameron is more clever than me. He knew I wa going to run away. When he caught me, I was expecting to get hit again. But I didn’t. I got raped instead-” he stood up

“Shush!” He shouted running a hand threw his hair.

“I got raped. I tried to kill myself, and that’s when I found out that I can’t be killed. And when I turned 19, Jack said we could try to run. I didn’t want to run away. I was still scared Alec. But I did. Jack showed me the way. He helped me. And then I found my family, my mate. But Cameron came for me again. Remember when I asked if I can to my parents house? And you said yes. Thats when I saw Cameron again. I didn’t know anything, I just sat in a taxi and he was the driver. I tried to get out but I couldn’t. He said he’ll kill Oli if I did anything. He said that I was selfish for not listening to him and wanting Oli to die. And I didn’t want that. Oli only found his mate. And he was happy. That’s when Cameron raped me again. I tried to drop him. I screamed for help. But nobody came-” Alec growled punching a tree, and it made a little dent. Strong

“I have to tell you Alec. If you’re going to accept me then you have to know all about me- nobody tried to help me. I was tied to the bed, and screaming, but nobody came. When I woke up,I was in a forest, with only a shirt around me. That’s when dad found me and I was so disgusted with myself that I didn’t want anyone to come near me. I told everyone to leave me alone, and they did. That’s when I tried to kill myself. There was no point in living, I couldn’t talk to my family about anything, you didn’t want me, I had no one Alec. But dad told me to stop. I tried once but he grabbed me. I pushed him away and jumped off the cliff. But then I remembered, I can’t die. I have to live with this for the rest if my life” he pulled me up and hugged me tightly and I cried

“I had to Alec. I had to” I whispered and he tightened his hold

“Shush Em. Shush” he kissed my neck.

“It hurts sometimes Alec. I feel useless when I can’t get out of bed, after having a nightmare. I feel useless that I don’t know how to dress. I feel useles-” he crashed his lips on mine.

“Shush baby. Shush. I don’t want to hear anymore or I might die. Please” he mumbled on my lips

“B-”

“No buts Emily. Please. I love you so much, and I don’t care how you are. You’re not useless, when you can’t get up in the morning after a nightmare, you have me. I can pick you up. You’re not useless for not knowing how to dress because you still look perfect to me. I don’t care what ever you wear, you’re still perfect. Just remember Emily, that you are not useless. You mean so much to me and you don’t even know about it. I swear. Everytime I see you, I smile. You make me happy without even you knowing. I love it when you do that small giggle. I love it when you’re confused and you scrunch your nose up. I love it when your hair is down. I love it when you don’t wear makeup. I love it when you think I’m not looking at you, but I am. I love it when you get angry at the little things. I love it when you smile at the little things. I love it when you get excited on just seeing a chocolate cake. I love it. I love everything about you Emily, and you don’t even know” he explained looking into my eyes

“Thank you” I blushed

“And I love your blush. But the thing I love the most is, when you come out of the bathroom just in a towel, thinking I’m not in the room. I love that the most” he smirked holding my hand

“T-that was only once Alec. I thought you left” I exclaimed, red in the face

“But still, that’s the best thing about you. You act like how you want to, and not how someone wants you to. I love that you don’t change for anyone” he smiled pulling me at the edge of the cliff

“W-What are you doing Alec?” I asked confused looking at the bottom, to see it was water. No rocks or anything.

“I want to do something Emily. I want you to stay up here and I’m going to show you want you mean to me.” He pulled me a little back and took his shirt off leaving him in black jeans.

“What are you doing Alec?” I asked worried as he handed me his shirt

“I’m going to show you Emily. That you mean the world to me. If you jumped off a cliff, I would do to. Titanic’s famous quote ‘you jump, I jump right?’ “He smirked at me

“Titanic? And what are you doing Alec. I know you love me. You don’t have to prove anything” I exclaimed and he gasped

“If I make it alive from this jump, I am making you watch titanic!” He walked to the edge of the cliff and he turned around and looked at me

“Say you love me Emily” he smiled

“I love you Alec. Bu-”

“Good! I love you too. Always” he smirked and fell backwards, off the cliff.

I ran to the edge to see a big splash, but no one coming up.

Stupid Alec I thought and put his shirt down. I turned to the water, and put my hands out. I put my hands together, in a praying position and pulled them apart. I lifted one hand up and thought of Alec.

“Didn’t want to get wet” I smiled and he shook his head as I got rid of all the water and he fell back down, screaming.

After all couple of minutes, he ran up the stairs on the side, and towards me.

He hugged me tightly, and I squeaked.

“Alec!” I exclaimed

“Oopps looks like you’re wet! Let’s go” he walked towards the cliff.

“Do not worry Emily! Your husband is here for you! Give me your hand” he declared in a brave voice and I blushed

“Husband?” I asked and he coughed

“I-I meant-” he was blushing and I smiled

“You’re too cute Alec” I jumped off the cliff

“Hey! Hot, not cute-” That’s what I heard before I was under water. The water was calm. I heard another splash and then I was pulled up

“Sexy, hot, attractive even handsome but not, and I repeat not cute!” Alec said wrapping his hands around my waist and pulling me closer so our chests were touching.

“Ale-”

“Hmm” he started to trail kisses down my neck.

“You are cute” I said and he groaned

“Emily. Don’t say that infront of others. It’s embarrassing” he looked up at me with his chocolate colour eyes

“Depends. I might want to, I might not” I said and he crashed his lips on mine.

“I love this side of you. I love all of you Emily” he muttered on my lips.

“I love all of you too” I kissed him back.
