Chapter 2

“Jack I’m tired now. We have been walking for hours. Can we please stop?” I asked and he nodded

We both sat on a log and sighed.

Since yesterday, me and Jack have been walking none stop. Sometimes we would be in the sky or on the ground.

“Are you not hungry Jack?” I asked and he groaned

“I am starving. But we have no money. And you- you look sick Emily. There should be a shop around here. We can get some clothes for you and some food. you need the energy, Emily” he said and I nodded standing up

“Let’s go” I said removing the shield around us as he stood up

“I can see a mall? Yeah I think thats what you call it right?” I asked and he nodded

“Yeah. You make yourself invisible and we’ll both walk in. You go inside a shop and pick something out for yourself. I’ll find us some food” he said and I nodded waving my hand around myself.

“Can you see me?” I asked and he shook his head.

" I’ll find you okay?” I asked and he nodded

“Just don’t scare me” he smirked and I nodded

“I’ll try not to” I replied and walked with him.

“I can’t see you Emily. Are you still here with me?” He whispered as we reached the mall and went inside.

“Yeah. I’ll go to a shop. Bye” I replied back and went into a shop that was closest to me. I pushed the door opened and the woman next to the counter looked at me and I froze.

“Stupid wind” she muttered and I let out a breath. She was human

I walked slowly to a section of clothes.

I have never worn clothes ever since I was kidnapped,after the age of 10. It was always bra’s and panties and a robe. Nothing else.

I found some sparkly shorts and a blue sweater. The woman was texting on her phone and had her back turned to me.

I quickly wore the clothes and made myself invisible again.

I walked out the door and the woman turned around as a peeping noise came on.

“Hello?” She asked as another woman came out from the back. I could tell she was a werewolf. I quickly ran out of there just as I saw Jack running with a bag, and about 4 people behind him.

I ran to Jack and held his hand and he went invisible.

Jack mouthed to me to run and I did. I ran back to the forest where we had stopped and invisibility weared off.

“Here- what are you wearing?” Jack chuckled handing me a sandwich

“Clothes? I don’t know” I muttered and he stopped laughing

“Sorry! Sorry. Forgot it. Just eat” he said handing me a water bottle and sitting down on the floor next to me.

“What about you?” I asked and he shrugged

“I couldn’t get anything else because werewolfs were after me. It means that there is a pack close by” he said and I rolled my eyes

“Here. I know you’re hungry Jack” I said handing him half of the sandwich which he took.

“Thanks. I don’t know what to do Emily now. I’m lost” he muttered taking a bite

“It’s okay Jack. We’ll find a way out of this” I replied taking a bite out of the sandwich just as 3 guys walked out from behind the trees.

Jack quickly stood up and infront of me. I stood up as well as the front guy walked closer to us.

“Who are you? Why are trespassing on our land?” He growled

“Sorry sir. We are not trespassing. We were just walking” Jack replied

“You’re a rouge. Why are you on our land” he asked again.

“Do you know what pack this is?” One of the guy asked and Jack shook his head

“No. We just found out that we’re in New York. We will be leaving. Come on” Jack said holding my hand

“No! You have to talk to our alpha first. You and your mate follow us” the guy said

“She’s not my mate. She’s my friend” Jack explained and they nodded

“Sam. You stand behind them. And Jorden follow me” the guy said talking to the others.

“Don’t worry. I’ll get us out of here” Jack turned to me and I nodded

“I trust you Jack” I whispered back as we followed them.

The guy behind us started to laugh and I turned around to see he was looking at me.

“Stop!” Jack growled at him and he stopped laughing and looked serious at him.

“Here. Take this” Jack said giving me his jacket and I quickly wore it over my clothes.

“Thanks” I mumbled as he held my hand again and we followed the guys.

“Do you know where the Sliver Moon pack is?” Jack asked them and they all stopped

“Why?” The guy with blond hair asked. I think he was the leader.

“Because” Jack replied

“They’re in California” he said as we carried on walking

“California? That’s a long way Jack.” I mumbled and Jack nodded

“Don’t worry. I promised that I will get you there” Jack replied and I nodded as we reached a path which led to a really big house.

“Woah” I whispered and the guys laughed. I quickly looked down at my feet.

“Our Alpha is excepting an explanation!” Jorden said as we walked inside their pack house.

Sam knocked on a door that said Alpha’s office and walked inside. I followed Jack inside.

“I’ll do the talking okay?” Jack said to me and I nodded looking around.

“Our Alpha will be here in a minute” Jorden said as the blond hair guy walked out the room. I stood closer to Jack as Sam stared at me.

The door opened and a guy walked in. He looked familiar

“Alpha. We found these two stealing” Jorden said as the guy sat down.

“What’s your names? And why are you here?” Their Alpha asked us

“Jack William. And Emily” Jack answered us and the Alpha looked at me

“Just Emily?” He asked and Jack nodded. I was always told never to give my full name

“Yes. And we were on our way to the Sliver Moon pack” he said and the guy smirked

“So my sister’s pack? Why is that?” He asked

“Sister’s pack? No we need to find Jaxon Gray? The Alpha?” Jack asked and the guy nodded

“My sister’s mate. My sister is the luna of that pack. But why do you need to find Jaxon?” He asked and Jack was shocked

“Bethany Gray?” He asked with a smile on his face,looking at me.

“Yes. Hold on! Why are you so excited to meet the Sliver Moon pack? Sam get the fuck out” he shouted standing up as I inched closer to Jack, when Sam looked at me.

“Really Ashton?” He groaned and Ashton nodded

“Yes. You’re making her uncomfortable. Now get the fuck out!” He shouted and Sam ran out, closing the door behind him.

“Emily. You hear that? Can you please take us there?” Jack asked looking at Ashton

“No! First you will explain why you want to go to their pack? Have you been sent?” He asked and Jack shook his head

“No! No. Emily here, she’s their daughter. We were kidnapped?” Jack said and Ashton choked on air

“Emily?” He coughed up looking at me

“Emily Rose Perry Gray” Jack said and Ashton ran to the door.

“Dad!” He shouted opening the door.

“You’re the Alpha now, Ashton. I can’t always be making the decision for you” an older man muttered walking into the room, which I recognised as my grandad. Mom’s dad. Cole something? I was only small when mom introduce me to him.

“Dad. We found Emily? Beth’s daughter” Ashton exclaimed and Cole stopped walking.

“What!” He said looking at me and Jack

“Hi” I whispered holding Jack’s hand tightly

“Emily..” he whispered and ran toward me and hugged me.

“Please let me go. Please!” I whispered trying to not let the tears roll down my face and he stepped back and I hugged Jack.

“It’s okay Emily. They’re your family. Shush. Don’t cry” Jack whispered into my ear, rubbing my back.

“You stay with me okay Jack?” I asked letting him go

“I have to go Emily. I promised you that I will get you back to your family. And you are. Now I have to go” he said and I shook my head

“Please don’t leave me Jack. I need you. Please” I pleaded and he nodded

“I won’t. I feel so loved” he smirked wiping my eyes

“Emily. What’s wrong?” Cole asked me and I quickly turned around to see he was standing close to me. I moved a little back and looked at his confused face.

“Sorry sir. Emily is a little...scared. Can you please take us to the Sliver Moon pack?” Jack asked and he nodded still staring at me.

“Sure. You guys go rest and I’ll call bethany” he replied and Jack nodded

“Thank you” Jack said and held my hand as we walked out the room with Ashton.

“Mom is out shopping with my mate, Serena. You guys can have this room. I’ll send up some food and clothes” he said opening a door to a room.

“I’m Ashton by the way. Your uncle” he smiled looking at me and I nodded

“Thank you” Jack said and Ashton nodded and closed the door.

“You go to sleep Emily. I have to explain to them the story. They have to know” Jack said moving the covers and pulling me to the bed.

“Okay Jack. But you will be back right?” I asked pulling the covers over me and laying on the bed.

“Of course Emily. Goodnight. I love you” he said kissing my forehead

“I love you too Jack” I replied as he closed the door behind him.

And I do love Jack, as a brother. Jack is my brother and I’m his sister.

Don’t worry Emily. All these people are your family. Ava said and I nodded

I know Ava. But what can I do. I have this fear in my head from all men. Except Jack I whispered back

Just be with Jack. And don’t worry. She replied back and I nodded.
