Chapter 31

Alec’s p.o.v

She doesn’t want me. My mate has left me, my first child is dead. I fuck up a lot.

It’s been hours since I got back to the castle and I want to go back to Emily.

I miss her.

“Alec- go to sleep. It’s 3 in the morning”Liam muttered coming into the living room.

“No! Just leave me alone Liam. Why are you even up?” I asked standing up and looking at him.

“Because I can here you screaming and shouting”

“Sorry. Just go back to sleep” I muttered and he rolled his eyes and walked back upstairs.

I went to the kitchen and opened the top drawer. I pulled out 5 bottles of vodka and sat on the counter.

Why doesn’t she want me Chase? I asked opening the bottle and drinking from it.

She’s confused. He blocked me out as I finished the bottle.

For us werewolfs, we have to drink about 3 bottles of vodka to get tipsy.

I lost count of how many bottles I drank. I opened another bottle and lifted it up just as Emily walked in.

“Emily?” I questioned smiling and putting the bottle on the counter.

“You didn’t leave me?” I stood up falling to the floor. Emily ran out of the room and I shook my head.

I stood up quickly, about to run after her as Anna walked in.

“Hey Alec” she smiled at me and I shook my head.

“No! I have to go stop Emily. She’ll leave me again” I slurred walking to the door.

“Woah Alec! I didn’t see Emily” she grabbed my hand.

“No! She was right here! Didn’t you see her run out of the room?” I asked confused

“No Alec. Are you okay? Shall I take you upstairs?” She touched my face and I looked at her with disgust

“Don’t touch me! Only Emily can touch me! Emily!” I shouted running out the door.

“Emily please!” I shouted running to the door just as I heard Anna behind me.

“Alec stop! You’re drunk! I didn’t see Emily” she grabbed onto my hand and turned me around. I saw Liam and Nat walk downstairs.

“Liam! Tell her to leave me alone! I saw Emily and she’s not leaving me! Nat!” I pushed Anna away and Liam quickly grabbed her.

“Alec!” She shouted. I ignored her and opened the door. It was dark outside, very dark.

“Emily!” I shouted running outside.

“Emily please! Please don’t leave me!” I fell to the floor

“Alec come inside” Liam muttered and helped me up

“I seen her Liam” I mumbled as he dragged me inside.

“Now you can enjoy life with Barbie over here!” Nat exclaimed

“Nat just leave it now” Liam muttered helping me upstairs. He walked me to and Emily and I’s room and put me in bed.

“When you wake up, then we’ll talk” he muttered putting the covers on me

“I didn’t do it Liam” I whispered

“I know you didn’t. You wouldn’t do that to Emily” he muttered and walked out the room after closing the lights.

Emily’s p.o.v

I was back. And I was going to give Alec a chance. The final one.

Maddy came to drop me off, but Oli didn’t want her to go alone so he came as well.

“I still don’t know why you-”

“Shut up Oli. She needs this” Maddy slapped him as Oli parked the car outside the castle.

“Fine” he mumbled getting out the car.

“Thank you Maddy. For everything” I smiled at her.

“I didn’t do anything” she smiled back and I got out the car.

“Just be careful. Anytime you want to leave, call me, and I’ll be here” Oli said hugging me

“Thank you Oli, but I think this time, I’m going to stay” I said as he let me go and gave me by bag.

“Okay. I love you”

“Love you too” I whispered and turned around at the castle. I walked up the steps and inside to see Nat walking out of the kitchen.

“Emily? Emily!” She exclaimed and hugged me tightly

“I’m sorry Nat’ I hugged her tighter

“Oh shut up! I missed you so much” she said as Anna walked downstairs

“Oh hey Emily. Everyone told me you left?” She asked confused as Nat let me go

“I’m back. Where’s Alec?” I asked Nat and she sighed

“Sleeping” she rolled her eyes

“I believe him Nat, and I think you should too. Alec wouldn’t cheat on me, and you know it. Like you said Nat, some people don’t change” I smiled at Anna and walked upstairs.

I went upstairs to my room, opened the door to see Alec asleep.

I closed the door behind me, put the bag on the floor, took my shoes off and walked towards the bed. I got under the covers and laid down closer to Alec. He wrapped his arm around me and smiled slightly.

“Alec, you awake?” But I got no reply.

I laid my head on his chest slowly, and closed my eyes.

I woke up to someone pulling me closer. I opened my eyes to see Alec smiling at me brightly, and looking at me.

“You came?” He asked quietly

“I had to” I smiled and he pecked my lips.

“I’m sorry Emil-”

“You stink of vodka. Why?” I raised my eyebrow as he hoovered over me

“I was stupid, I was fucked up, I’m an asshole. And a jerk. I’m every bad word Emily” he muttered looking down at me.

“Really?” I asked and he nodded

“I’m a big stupid asshole, jerk, a messed up person” he said

“And a cute person”

“No. I don’t even deserve to be cute” he mumbled pouting slightly.

“Okay”

“What am I Emily?” He asked me

“You’re Alec. My Alec” I smiled and he leaned down but I shook my head

“Vodka! Nope! You can’t kiss me until you get rid of that smell” I said and he jumped off the bed taking the covers with him.

He ran to the bathroom and I heard the water being turned on.

“I’ll be quick Emily. Please don’t leave” he shouted and I nodded.

After 5 minutes Alec came out with a towel around his waist and towards me.

“My kiss?” He smirked lifting off the bed.

He pulled me towards him, as I stood on the bed. He wrapped his arms around my waist and crashed his lips on mine.

“You believe me right?” He mumbled onto my lips.

“I believe you Alec. I know it wasn’t your fault.”

“I still don’t understand” he muttered pulling me off the bed and hugging me. He didn’t put me on the floor though.

“I know Anna is you’re friend Alec but I’m blaming her. I think it was her fault. Cameron showed me a mirror, with her and you. And you were kissing Anna. And for me to see that picture, a guy had a spell book. Anna is a witch and she can do magic. She must of made herself look like me to get to you. Because I could see Anna and you could see me” I explained and he held onto my tighter and looked up at me.

“Really! I’m-” he growled

“No Alec. Don’t say anything to her. I want to see if she accepts it. I want to see what she’s going to do again” he put me on the bed and I wrapped my hands around his neck.

“I saw you yesterday as well Emily. I was drinkin- I’m sorry for drinking- when you came into the kitchen. I stood up and fell to the floor when you ran out. And then Anna came into the room. I think its true Emily” he whispered to me and I nodded

“I have to tell you something Alec”

“Yes?”

“Our first baby, didn’t die” I whispered

“What?” He asked confused

“Mom told me, when she hugged me, that’s how she found out. She has powers”

“I forgot about your mom having powers as well” he smiled

“She knows about what you did to me when I first arrived”

“I’m sorry-”

“It’s okay Alec. I-”

“It’s not okay Emily. If I left Anna, and stayed with you, I don’t think any of this would happen. I would have been able to get to know you more” he sighed

“Alec you do know me. Yes what you did was wrong but you made up for it. You do know me” I smiled

“I don’t Emily”

“Yes you do. What’s my favourite thing in the world?” I asked

“Me?”

“Okay yes, but something else?”

“Your family?” I rolled my eyes

“Yes Alec. Something that I love to eat”

“Oh! Chocolate cake!” He exclaimed and I smiled nodding

“You do know me Alec. I know you as well. You have a very bad habit of drinking. You shouldn’t drink Alec, it’ll make you sick” I mumbled

“And I don’t want you to drink anymore Alec. I don’t like anyone who drinks”

“I’ll throw them all away. Come on! I’ll do it right now” he helped me off the bed. I picked up the duvet from the floor and threw it on the bed, as he grabbed a shirt, and black jeans and wore them quickly.

Alec pulled me out of the room, and downstairs. I followed him to the kitchen to see Nat, Liam and Anna sat.

“Hey Alec? Where is Cameron?” Anna asked and I tightened my hand around Alec’s.

“Cameron is dead” he muttered and she gasped

“What! How?” She asked

“I killed him Anna. I don’t think you need an explanation” Alec walked me to a stool. I sat down as he grabbed a bin liner.

“What are you doing?” Nat asked

“So you want to talk to me?” Alec turned to her

“Oh shut up Alec. You know I am older than you. I can stop talking to you if I want too” she stuck her tougue out at him and he chuckled

“I’m sorry for shouting at you Natalie. And you Liam” Alec aplogised.

“It’s okay. I’m sorry for hurting you” Nat smirked at him.

“Hurting him? What did you do?” I asked confused

“She got me pretty bad Emily. She hurt me” Alec pouted and Liam laughed.

“You are so whipped man!” He exclaimed and Nat kicked him on the knee.

“Ouch baby!”

“You’re whipped as well!” Nat smirked at him and he shook his head

“No I’m not babe” he smirked and she jumped off his lap and slapped him on the head.

“So you don’t love me?” She asked quietly

“Oh no! I do love you Natalie. I love you a lot” he pulled her back on her lap and she smiled

“He’s whipped as well” Nat smirked at me and Anna stood up and walked out the kitchen.

“Ignore her. What are you doing with the bag?” Nat asked Alec and he walked to a cupboard.

“Throwing away all the alcohol” he smiled throwing a vodka bottle in the bag.

“What! Oh come on man! Why?” Liam exclaimed.

“Because it’s bad for you Liam. Nat do you want him to drink?” Alec asked and she shook her head

“At least leave the champagne!” Liam complained

“No”

“Yes?” I said and Alec looked shocked

“You can’t drink?” He asked and I shook my head.

“No, I mean, if someone comes to our house,we should have alcohol to serve to them. It looks good” I explained and Liam nodded

“Yep! And leave the red wine as well. And the white one!” Liam said and Alec nodded.

He got rid of all the other drinks and put it on the table.

“What are we doing today?” Nat asked

“I want to have a barbeque today. Only this pack obviously. Emily is pregnant and I want the whole pack to know.” He smiled at me

“Okay. We could do it today, I’ll sort the backyard out and-”

“Me and Emily will pick our clothes! Come on Emily” Nat pulled me up and Alec growled

“Slowly” he helped me up

“I’m fine Alec” I smiled at him and he nodded

“Come on Emily. Let’s take snail steps” she narrowed her eyes at Alec.

I rolled my eyes and followed Nat upstairs to my room.

“We are raiding your closet!” She exclaimed

“Don’t you think we’re both a little over dressed? And you can see my bump, Nat” I asked looking at my brown outfit and her grey one.

“It’s a barbeque Emily. We both look fine and this whole party is for your pregnancy ” she said straightening the last piece of my hair.

“And here you go!” She handed me by tiara and I wore it.

I actually looked really nice, along with Nat. But the only thing was you could see my bump. For werewolfs, pregnancy is two months, so I look like I am at least 3-4 months.

“Let’s go” she said helping up slowly.

“Nat, you don’t have to take what Alec said serious. Yes I am pregnant but I’m only a few weeks, I think” I said as we walked out the room.

“But I still have to be careful Emily. I don’t want my head being chopped off” she rolled her eyes as we went downstairs.

“Why is it at night?” I asked and she shook her head, smiling

“It’s a barbeque. So we also have a bonfire” she said and I nodded as we reached the backyard.

We walked through the crowd to the top to see Anna talking to Alec. When Alec saw me, he walked towards me and helped me up the steps.

“You look beautiful Emily” he smiled

“Thank you” I replied back as Nat followed us up on the stage and towards Liam and Anna.

“That was kind of rude Alec. I was talking to you” Anna mumbled

“I went to go get Emily. I don’t think it’s rude to help your wi- your mate” he coughed nervously

“Okay. Anyway how do I look?” Anna did a little twirl for us.

She was wearing a very tight and short, midnight blue dress.

“You look okay. Emily follow me” Alec held my hand and we walked to the middle of the stage.

“Excuse me? Can I get your attention?.. Thank you. I’m just going to be straight forward and I’m very happy to announce that your luna is pregnant” Alec exclaimed and everyone cheered

“Thank you. Carry on” Alec said and we walked off the stage as people congratulated us

“Alec I was think we could go to the pack doctor sometime, to make sure everything is okay?” I stopped him and he nodded

“Shit yes! I’m so sorry Emily. It’s just that I don’t know how these go” he muttered and I nodded

“It’s okay Alec. We can do this together. Okay?” I held his hand

He squeezed my hand

“Together” he smiled and I nodded

“You be careful okay Emily. I just need to go get something. And I’ll be back for you” he smirked at me. He kissed my cheek and walked away.

I walked to the food table, to see a big cake, with a cover on top, that had my name on it.

I smiled when I read it. I took the cover off to see it was a chocolate cake. I cut a slice for myself,just as the fairy lights went off.

It was pretty dark outside, because it was 10 o’clock.

I turned around with the plate in my hand to see everyone staring at me. I was confused thinking I had something on my face.

I touched my face slowly, just as a little girl ran up to me.

“Luna! Look! Alpha!” She pointed to the stage where Alec was holding a microphone in his hand and , smiling.

She ran back somewhere as Alec walked down the stage.

“Emily Rose Perry Gray? Just like your name you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met in my whole life. And I have met a lot of girls. And I’m sorry I didn’t wait for you. I was stupid. But I want you to be my wife, Emily. So everyone in the world knows that you are taken. I fell in love with you the moment I set my eyes on you. But I was just stupid for not accepting it. I want you to be by my side every minute. I want you to be with be everyone morning when I wake up, so I can kiss you good morning. I know I haven’t been the best mate in the world because I’m not perfect. But you Emily, when I am with you, you make me laugh, smile, you make me perfect. Ask anyone that I haven’t laughed ever since my dad died. But when you came into my life, everything changed. I promise Emily to share every day with you, every moment. “Yes!” I hugged him tightly and he chuckled
