Morning Sleepyheads!

The ball was absolutely gorgeous! The ballroom was so beautiful. Amara and Vanessa had done most of the decorations and let me tell you, they did an amazing job. I mean if I didn’t need them to work with me, they could easily be one of the best party planners.

Not just the decorations, the food, music, lights; everything for amazing.

We danced and talk and ate all night. Cyrus’ family and a lot of chiefs and their Lunas were here. I now have a room just filled with gifts that I will attend to today.

After the ball, we all were so tired that we directly went to our rooms and dozed off to sleep after the guests went.

I woke up after a long night’s sleep. I felt Cyrus’ arm wrapped over my waist. I looked over at the clock and it was 9 o’clock already.

“Cyrus, the Curzons were supposed to leave an hour ago. Did we sleep through it?” I asked tapping him on his shoulder.

He opened his sleepy eyes a little and smiled.

“You were so tired, I didn’t want to wake you up. The Curzons left but Aaron is staying with us for a few days. He just wants to spend some time with Amara before he has to go back. Anyways, I dropped them to the airport an hour ago and they were very understanding of why you weren’t there. In fact, they told me not to wake you up. Now come back to sleep.” He said sleepily.

I chuckled as Cyrus made puppy eyes to convince me to join him again. After a while, I caved and we cuddled for a few minutes before getting ready for the day.

It was a Sunday so Cyra didn’t have school. Cyrus and I left our room to find Cyra and Violet running around playing. Cyra stopped when she saw us.

“Good morning Mommy! Good morning Daddy! Do you want to play with us?” she asked sweetly.

“Morning sweetheart! Well, we are going to eat breakfast right now and then we’ll open the presents we got yesterday. So we can’t play with you, but you both can help us open them.” I replied.

A smile erupted on their face while they nodded excitedly.

I chuckled and interlocked my arm with Cyrus while we walked to the dining hall. V and Elliot were already at the table.

“Hey, guys! What’s up?”

“Morning sleepyheads!” V exclaimed

“Hey, Celina! So I cleared all your Alpha duties for today. I figured you would need a rest day after the ball yesterday. Also, Aaron asked if he could stay with us for another week to catch up with Amara and I allowed him. You don’t mind, do you?” Elliot said handing me and Cyrus a cup of coffee.

“Of course not and thanks for that. I do need a rest day.” I smiled at him.

After drinking coffee and eating breakfast, Cyra and Violet peeked into the dining room.

“Is it gift time yet?” Violet spoke.

I nodded, chuckling, and followed them to the spare room that we filled with gifts.

I opened the door when we reached. I saw the whole room filled with gifts. I gulped.

“This is going to be a long day. So much for a rest day, huh.” Cyrus said.

“Yay! So many gifts! And we get to open all of them!” Cyra and Violet exclaimed.

“At least someone’s happy.” I said.

Cyrus, V, Elliot, and I walked inside with the girls and started opening the gifts. After a while, Amara and Aaron also joined us.

“Hey, guys! Whoa! How many guests did you invite yesterday?” Amara said while entering.

“A lot apparently; and this is after we opened so many. Come help us.” They sat down with us and started opening the gifts.

“Good morning Chief Aaron!” Cyra and Violet said.

“Morning girls!” he said sweetly.

“So, Daddy told me you were best friends with him when you were about our age. Is that true?” Cyra said.

“Yes, it is. I, your dad, and your aunt Amara were all best friends. Do you want to hear some stories of us back then?” he asked them and they eagerly nodded.
