Chapter 29

Camryn's POV

A warm feeling was hitting my face. I scrunch up my nose for the warmth of it tickling me. Slowly I open my eyes and was met by a bright light. I squinted my eyes to adjust to it and turn to my side to see where the lights are coming from. It was coming from a window, the ray of sunlight peeking through it.

'Where am I?'

'What am I doing here? Why am I here?'

I sat up from the small bed and my ears heard commotions somewhere. There is laughter and clatterings. So I got up and walk out of the room then silently went down the stairs to listen to the voices coming from. My heart sped up as hearing the voices getting louder and louder. Upon nearing it, my heart beats faster as I recognized the voices. I walk my way past the living room and stop infront of the kitchen. My jaw drop at what I saw, and my eyes went wide and teary. My heart beating rapidly inside my chest and I can't believe what I am seeing right now.

"Hello! My dear Camryn, my little sweetheart!"

Her voice, her face, her hair. Everything is her. It is her!

My mom! She is here! I can't believe this!

My tears slowly rolled down my cheeks and I can't stop them as more tears poured down.

"Hey there my little shy bunny!"

I look beside her and there he was. My dad. Standing beside her, looking alive and real.

Why? How?

Questions and confusion clouded me.

My mom smiled happily at me and reach out her hand to me.

They must have seen the confusion on my face.

How is this even possible? Why are they here? They are already gone.

The smile of my mom falters as she look at me with sad eyes and slightly shook her head but her hand was still reaching for me, waiting for me to hold out my hand.

And I gladly went up to her.

I was about to hold out my hand but was scared that I might not actually hold her or touch her. I look at my dad and he gave me an encouraging look to not be afraid. Getting deep breaths, I close my eyes and reach out my hand to hers.

And our hands touch. I felt the warmth of her soft skin against my palm. Opening my eyes, I saw our hands intertwine together. And my tears again run down my face. My mom pulled me to her. Embracing me. Hugging me! An arm went through my back and I turn to see my dad embracing us both in a warm tight hug and I hold tighter.

And then I cried hard. I cried harder like I haven't cried before until I can't stop the tears from pouring out. My dad pat me on my back while my mom softly caressed my hair.

No words were spoken. They just let me pour out my heart and let me cry out like a baby.

And then the ground beneath us trembled. My feet were shaking. I was scared of what was suddenly happening. Their tight hold on me loosen up and I felt like I was going down. Down and down away from them! I look down at my feet and saw that the ground was swallowing me! I look up from my mom and dad and saw that they are up above me and so I called out to them and reach my hand above. I was about to jump but my feet are glued to the ground pulling me down.

'Mom! Dad! Help!'

But I can't see them anymore. What is happening?

I am so scared. What am I supposed to do now?

And then the ground stops and I scan my eyes around but all I see is darkness.

Pitch black.

Then my eyes met again with a bright light. I squinted again adjusting to the light. Once my eyes are fully open, I held my breath. The petrified feeling was back, crawling unto me. Pulling me towards it.

Now, I was back in that small room. Chained at the bed. Naked. Again.

I felt horrified. Again. My body was shaken with great fear.

Again and again.

Why am I here?

The loud bang made me shriek. My eyes went through the door and he walk inside. Holding a whip with a devilish smile on his face.

'No.... please..' my voice was hoarse.

He just continue to smile at me wickedly and walk closer.

My eyes went wide as he raise his hands holding the whip and without warning he sway the whip down my body. Sending a swooshing sound touching my skin. Then whip me over and over again. The burning pain is back all over my body. Making me scream at the top of my lungs! Until I felt numb and tired.

Tired from all of this.

I was breathing hard. Panting. Sweating.

Until my body relaxes. My heartbeat calms down and I felt like floating. I felt a soft wind caress my skin, blowing my hair softly.

Once again I open my eyes. I saw flowers everywhere. I scan my eyes around and I only saw flowers. Different flowers filled the place. I look above and the moon shining magnificently in the sky.

'Now, where am I?'

I started walking, not sure where to go. Just feeling the warmth breeze floating around me and it started to push me to walk further.

Until I see a large tree in the middle of the flower field. Something tells me that I should walk up to that tree and that's what I did. Not wasting any more time, I run towards it. My blood rushed inside me, circulating all over my body. And when I reach closer, two people were standing beside it.

Smiling at me. Waiting for me.

'Mom. Dad' I softly whispered and run towards them.

This time I am not afraid anymore if I wouldn't be able to touch them or feel them. The important is they are here. That I actually have the chance to see them again.

Reaching them, I hug them both. Tighter. With all my heart.

And this time, their words filled my heart and mind.

"My shy bunny. Know that we will always, always here for you" My dad place his hand on my chest "We are always and will stay forever in your heart" Then he put a light feathered kiss on my forehead "No matter what happened in the past, put it all behind. No matter how painful it was, put it all behind you. You are stronger than this, Camryn. I know you are stronger now. It made you stronger now" he looks me in the eyes with so much love "I am so proud of you, my daughter."

My tears again stream down as my dad envelopes me with the warmest hug a father could have.

Then it was my mom's turn.

"I know you're all grown up now but you've been through a lot. I know we left you too soon and we're sorry for that sweetheart."

I shook my head at her with a tight smile.

"How we wish to stay more beside you but it was our fate. This was the Moon's Goddess will."

She looks up to the sky, staring at the moon.

"We are all her creations" and her gaze turned back at me "And so her will, shall be granted" She heaved a deep sigh and held my hand "All I am saying is, just have faith in her. Have faith in yourself and never lose hope for everything happens for a reason, Camryn. And everything will come out right, at the right time."

"But Mom all of this made me broken and wasted! It totally shattered me inside and out!" I halfway shout and whispered, "All of the sufferings, the beatings, the pains I've gone through make no sense at what you are trying to say!" I was crying, wailing infront of them "How could you even say these things about her!" I pointed out the Moon above us "When she had let you taken away from me! I was just a kid back there! Alone! So scared and vulnerable! How could she let an innocent child be ripped away by her parents and let them die infront of her!"

My screams echoed throughout the whole place.

"How could she just let me feel all the horrible pains! She just let her wolves brutally savage me! Tortured me! And what? What did she do? Nothing!!" I was panting hard and my tears were all over my face "She did nothing! She had just watched me be hurt over and over again." then my voice came just above a whisper.

My mom wipe away my tears and hold me tight and whispered to me.

"Camryn, you may not understand it right now but trust me sweetheart all of these, all that had happened has a purpose and everything will fall right back into place."

She looks me in my eyes, holding my cheek.

"And that's because of you. You will change everything."

She kiss me tenderly on my cheek and said "I love you, my little sweetheart Camryn.."

And then something weird again is happening. The ground beneath us trembled again but this time I was floating in the air. I am drifting away from them until clouds covered them, covering my eyes. All I see were clouds.

White.

White lights.

Smoke? Fog?

Then I hear sounds. Distinct but strange sounds.

I am breathing hard again. Panting. Sweating. Then my heart slowed down, beating normally. My breathing went normal.

And slowly I open my eyes and adjusted them again to a bright light.

What's with these bright lights?

I close and open them until they focus and settled into a blue one.

The most sensational eyes I had ever seen. The color of a peaceful sky with a mix of the deep color of the ocean.

'Mate!'

Someone purred inside me.

Wait?!

What?!

My eyes went wide as my gazed

still lingered on these blue ones.

'Mate!' She yelled again.

And this time I know who it is.

It's my wolf!

Oh! Thank the heavens! My wolf is back! How I miss you!

'Cut it out Camryn! Go and hug our Mate!'

Huh? Mate?

'Yeah! You dumbhead! Are you fully awake now or not? Because if you're not then I'm gonna kick your ass right now!'

Hey! What's wrong with you? We're just back together and this is how you treat me?

No matter how much I miss her I had to block her off just for a sec. She's givin' me a headache!

I miss you so much but not your annoying attitude!

She huffs at me and turns her back on me, raising her tail high. Telling me that she's pissed but I just shrug her off.

Then my attention was back on the blue-eyed man, leaning at me. So close I can feel his hot minty breath across my face. My eyes went wide again at how close he is and in instinct, a hand flew across his face. A loud snap sound flitted in the room. I felt everyone around me had stayed still and were all looking at me. They are looking between us at this blue-eyed man.

What the hell?

Okay so, hey! Trembling ground! Where are you? You must be shaking me now, swallowing me, or dragging me, or whatever you want! Just get me the hell out of here!

My eyes are still wide and again I heard the strange sound. Ringing my ears. My heart beating fast again and I was out of breath!

I am panicking and everyone around me was also panicking!

I can't breathe! I need air!

I felt like I am suffocating and then a man came up to me, dress in white. He took something beside me and put it on my face and then I was inhaling deeply.

Inhale. Exhale.

That's the only thing I did for the next couple of minutes or seconds I think? Because before I knew it, the blue-eyed man spared me one more glance before he walk out of the room.
