It’s been a few weeks since the King of Werewolves and his son visited. I must say that I found the future King of all Werewolves quite handsome. I even invited him over for some baking lessons. I know so weird, but I wanted to teach him to bake since he loved sweets, I can also use this to get in good graces with him.

I am more excited that my baby boy gets to come home in a few days. It has been a long journey for the both of us. I have learned so much from the doctors and nurses. I even volunteered for a few shifts with the doctors.

I am going to be a doctor so why not take advantage of this opportunity now.

I head over to the pack hospital and get ready to see my pup when dad mind links me and tells me I need to come to his office.

Upon reaching his office he tells me that in a few weeks my mom and he will be going on a vacation for a few days. They will be coming back just before the red moon party that we will be hosting this year. He wants me to step in and be the acting Alpha during this time. I am so happy that I jumped up and down. I remember that I am an Alpha and quickly calm myself before apologizing to my father.

“It’s quite alright sweetheart, I was excited when I was able to do Alpha things all by myself. Just remember that the future King will be dropping by soon for his baking lessons and to be on your best behavior. Make this pack proud like you always do. I run out to the pack hospital and up to the NICU, excitement fills me up. Not only will I be acting Alpha, but I will have my pup home with me.

I get to my son’s room and find it empty. Panic takes over my body. I am fear stricken that something has happened to my boy. The room starts spinning and I am breathing heavily. Just as I am about to have a full- on panic attack the door opens and in walks my mom hold Onyx.

“Mom! I almost had a panic attack, don’t ever do that again. You need to let me know when you take Onyx somewhere.” I sternly say.

My mom just chuckles, and my dad pops up behind her.

“For a second there I thought your mother was speaking. She never let you guys out of her sight when you and Aaron were babies.” Dad says.

“I’m sorry, it’s just that I was so excited to share the news with him and when I got here the nurses did not inform me, he was not in the room. I freaked out. I know that is not what an Alpha is supposed to do, I understand if you think I need more time dad.” I say with unshed tears in my eyes.

“Sweetheart you are a mother first and foremost, I can’t tell you how many times your dad freaked out when something happened to any of you. You are going to be a great Alpha, why do you think we are going on vacation before you shift. We trust in your capabilities.” Mom coos.

I smile and a tear finds its way down my cheek. She knows what to say and when to say it. I have learned so much from her over the years. I not only learned Alpha duties but also Luna duties. As a second born I was to only be a mate not an Alpha, but since Aaron renounced his title, I got to learn both. I run up to my mom and give her a big hug.

“Now I will be taking my son, thank you very much for the mini heart attack” I say

The room is covered in laughter. We all visit with Onyx for a little while longer then we head our separate ways. Mom had Luna duties and dad was going to train some warriors. I decided to start getting Onyx’s nursery together since it will be a few days until he comes home.

Dad added another room next to my room when we found out I was pregnant. It has a King-size bed and crib in it. The walls have been painted royal blue with a gray focal wall. I just need to add more necessities to his room.

I mind link Sierra and Storm to come shopping with me.

“Hey, you guys want to come shopping with me I need to get some stuff for Onyx’s room.” I say “Count me in.” Sierra says.

“Yes! Shopping for the nephew I can’t wait” Storm says.

I close the mind link and head to my car. Dad originally was going to get me Maserati coupe, but since I now had Onyx, we decided to get the Maserati Levante. I love it, I can put so much stuff into the trunk.

We head out to the mall to get everything we need. The mall is in the human land, but it has everything.

When walking in we immediately go to babies r us. We load up on everything we need and then head to a few more stores, next we head to the food court. We end up bumping into Alpha Prince Rasheed and some she wolf. She has her nasty little hands around his arm and a low growl escapes my mouth.

“Good afternoon your Majesty” we say in unison.

“Hello ladies, out doing some shopping?” he grins at me.

“Yes, I was finishing up some last minuet shopping since Onyx will be coming home in a few days.”

“Honey lets go I’m hungry and we don’t have the time to mingle with these Omega’s” the skank says.

I growl

“That’s Alpha to you!”

Everyone looks so shocked, and I realize I grabbed her by her arm and was staring her in her eyes. I released her and turned to Prince Rasheed.

“My apologies your majesty, I didn’t mean to grab your mate”

“She’s not my mate. I haven’t found my mate yet, but she will be my chosen mate shortly after I take the title. She should have respect for all ranks. I may have underestimated her character.” He states.

I nod and we say our goodbyes. I can’t help but look back and smirk at her. After we ate, we headed home, and I started to work on Onyx’s nursery.
