I laugh and tell him Trigger needs to speak with us. We get dressed and head to my office where Trigger is waiting for us already. We walk in and I make myself, Rasheed and Trigger a drink.
“So, what’s up” I ask.
“Well, um I was wondering if it would be okay to come back, but from the looks of it Rasheed has his memories back.” Trigger says.
“Trigger, you were always welcome, and you were never banned from the land. I just wanted someone with Rasheed while his memories were gone.”
“Thank you because I actually have another favor to ask. I was wondering if you would help Alex plan our wedding.” Trigger rushes out.
“OH, MY GODDESS, YOU ASKED HER TO MARRY YOU!” I scream.
“Geeze, Gianna I didn’t think peoples voice got that high. No, I haven’t asked her, yet I was going to ask tonight at dinner, if that is okay with you both.” He asks.
“Now that is just a dumb question, why would we say no? Do you need help planning anything? Any special foods made?” I question.
“No, Alex is very prideful, and she always told me she wanted Jordan to ask her to marry her in front of the pack. They were always so busy, and he never got around to asking her. I don’t want to waste any time, and I want to give her everything she wants. I was hoping to do the wedding next month if she says yes.” Trigger lights up.
“She’s going to say yes, I will call Kay and book the hall for the reception and ask Alex what she wants and how involved she wants to be. Now let’s head to dinner, I am famished.”
We all head out and head to the dining hall. Alex is already at the table along with Sierra, Aaron, and Storm. She beams a smile at us, but I know it is all for Trigger. We all sit down, but Trigger remains standing.
“Alex, can you come here please?” He says.
“Sure, what’s up Trig?” She asks.
I can tell how nervous he is, so I decide to mind link him.
“It is going to be okay; she will say yes, just say what’s in your heart. Everyone else will seem irrelevant once you start. You got this!”
He smiles at me, and I can tell now he is focused only on her.
“Alexandria Keisha Knight, I have had the upmost respect for you since we were kids. Your dedication, strength, loyalty, and love is in abundance. I am so blessed to be your second chance mate. I want to make the most of each and every day with you. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?” Trigger asks.
Next thing we know is Alex hits the floor with a hard thud. Trigger scoops her up into his arms and she looks like a little baby doll. She opens her eyes, and they are glistening with tears.
“Yes, YES a thousand times YES!” She squeals out.
