Today is the day I wed my best friend. I have always had a crush on Trigger and was honestly bummed when I wasn’t his mate. I will always love Jordan, but it seemed like we were two cars passing in the night. I will cherish the memories I had with him and will hold him deeply in my heart.

I have no idea what my wedding is going to look like, I am not a huge girly girl, so I left that on Gianna’s plate. She was ecstatic. I know the color scheme will be purple, gold, white, and black. I know what my dress looks like only because I had to get fitted for it, and I know where we are going to get married. That’s about it.

I hear a knock at the door and Gianna enters.

“You ready to get glamorized?” She says as she flings her arms in the air.

She is so extra, but I love her anyways. I asked her to be my matron of honor and asked Sierra and Storm to be bridesmaids. We have formed a close sisterhood and I am glad they all accepted me with open arms.

“Okay, okay, let’s start. Ladies, please come in and make this beautiful lady even more fabulous.” She claps her hands and jumps up.

I have already showered so they start with my hair and make-up. After an hour or so Gianna walks over to me and asks if I want a drink? I love that this girl, she can hold her liquor like me. We have had many drunken nights when Rasheed was away. She hands me a drink and she receives a mind link. Her face contorts in anger, and she lets out a huff.

“Everything okay?”

“Oh, yes girl everything is fine. You don’t worry your pretty little head about nothing. Today is your day.” Gianna says.

She gives me that fake smile she shows everyone when she is hurting. I know that things have been a little rocky with her and Rasheed since he got his memories back. Trigger has been telling me that it is mostly about control and how Gianna follows behind all Rasheed’s work. I know she is just doing it because she had to do it when he was away and it is second nature to her, Rasheed needs to understand that, but it is their business and if she or he do not want my opinion I will stay out of it.

My hair is finished in cascading waves with a side part and the headpiece Gianna wore at her wedding. It is my something borrowed. I have simple make up just the way I like it. It is time to put on my dress. I must say Gianna did a wonderful job designing this dress. It is a mermaid style deep v neck satin gown, the train oh my goddess the train looks like huge flowers. It is so gorgeous.

“Absolutely stunning.” Former Queen Luna Kay says.

I run and give her a hug. She is like a mother to me, mine passed away when I was quite young, and she took me in as her own.

We all give each other hugs and the girls rush off to get their purple gowns, Gianna’s more conservative while Storm and Sierra’s show a little more of their assets.

“It’s time baby girl.” Luna Kay says.

We are ushered to the former Kingdom where all I see is cars lined up. Everyone starts getting out and I grab Gianna’s arm.

“Hey Gia, do you think you can walk me down the aisle? My parents are both gone, and I would love for someone to walk me down, I would be honored if that were you.”

Her eyes glisten and she nods her head in agreement. The doors open and Sierra and Storm walk in. They close the doors and I take a deep breath; I hear them start the traditional bride music and the doors open again.

I try to take in my surroundings, but my eyes find Trigger and I am locked in. I didn’t realize I was practically running down the aisle until Gianna mind linked me.

“I know you want to get to your mate, but I got on some high heels, and I am quite clumsy.”

I chuckle and slow my pace down; I look over at her and give her an apologetic smile. She rubs my arm, and we continue to walk.

We reach the front of the alter and the council member asks who gives the bride away. I realize I have no one to give me away.

“I do” Gianna says.
