Adonis and Kenzi Part Three

Continuing to wait for his mate Adonis couldn’t help but look around the store he was standing in. The clothes had an appeal to him, and they seemed to carry his size easily.

“You cater solely to wolves?” Adonis asked,

“Human’s as well, but the majority of the clientele is wolves. That is why the sizes are more uncommon.” Desmond replied as he watched Adonis look around.

“Savage!” Adonis said,

“That is the nature of our species” Desmond remarked.

“Some more so than others” Adonis turned back towards the other wolf. Desmond went to open his mouth, but thought better of what he was going to say. Adonis arched his brow, but chose not to acknowledge what he was going to say.

“But I only need a nuff shirts for evry-day of the week, and one for when I do laundry.” Overhearing Kenzi he released a deep rumbled sigh, trying to control his ever dwindling patience.

“Darling, you need outfits. What if you want to wear something other than what you have?” Oswald asked, he was flabbergasted by what she said.

“I don’t has what I don’t need and to has what I don’t need is selfish” Kenzi replied,

“Whoever put that thought in your head should be strung and quartered. Darling, it is not selfish and after spending five minutes with you I don’t think you know how to be selfish. It is ok to think of yourself every once in a while. If you can’t take care of you, then how are you supposed to take care of anyone else?” Oswald asked her.

“Is there a problem?” Adonis asked when they stopped back in front of them.

“I’ll say, this gorgeous little pixie has it in her pretty purple head that she only needs eight shirts. Who only needs eight shirts? Eight shirts is not enough to make a wardrobe.” Oswald answered.

“No eight shirts is definitely not enough to make a wardrobe, when every pair of pants needs at least three shirts.” Desmond agreed.

“Then I has lots. I has two pairs of pants and a pair of leggings,” Kenzi stated. Both Oswald and Desmond stared at her wide eyed, neither were sure of what to say to her. That was not even close to enough items. She finds it easier to buy for others! Odin grumbled in his head. What? It’s easier for her to buy for others than it is for herself. Remember the shirts she bought for us! That’s it! What? We need clothes too Odin, and we did promise to make this fun! Um….!

“They’re right sweetheart” Adonis spoke, catching both the other wolves by surprise. Kenzi was about to protest that she had enough, when he placed a finger over her lips to silence her.

“I know you think you have enough, but you really don’t. I also know how hard it is for you to put yourself first, so how about a deal?” Adonis suggested,

“A deal?” Kenzi asked, she tilted her head to the side, her curiosity spiking a little bit.

“I did promise you fun, and you’re not having any. I also need clothes” Kenzi’s face perked up. “You shop for me and I shop for you”

“What’s the deal?” Kenzi asked, growing slightly more excited by the idea of picking his clothes instead, her eyes roamed the store they were standing in. A few things had already caught her attention and the smile was spreading more and more across her face as she found more items. Desmond and Oswald watched on.

“We have $7000 to spend on clothes that’s $3500 each” Adonis was saying.

“Where did it come from?” Kenzi asked, her eyes snapping back to him as her face scrunched.

“Courtesy of Kane. He lost a deal last night” Adonis answered,

“That was nice of him” Desmond snorted and had to look away when she said that.

“I’m sorry, she is an absolute treasure though.” He spoke when both Kenzi and Adonis looked at him.

“This is the deal. You have to get as close as you can to $3500 without going over. If you win, I will….play for you” Kenzi’s eyes widened as they danced under the lights of the store. She’s wanted to hear him play since she spied his guitar in his room on the first day. She never asked him about it, but he knew she was curious. He would catch her looking at it.

“But if I win you owe me a dinner away from all the mooching pooches at White Stone.” Kenzi thought about that. She didn’t know if the deal seemed fair, but it would be a lot more fun to get to pick all his clothes than it was to choose for herself.

“I get to pick what-evr I want?” Kenzi asked, biting her lip

“Whatever you want, that includes undergarments. Just remember I get to do the same” Adonis replied. Kenzi’s cheeks flushed slightly at the thought of getting to pick his underwear, then they flushed more when she realized he got to pick hers.

“Do we have a deal?” Adonis asked, extending his hand,

“Deal!” She replied immediately and shook.

“Ok, this one will measure you….I need to know what size to look for” Adonis pointed at the werewolf that Kenzinapped her the first time.

“Oswald” Oswald answered, pointing towards himself,

“Then you and the other one will stay in Savage and I will take Oswald and go to….”

“Pixies!” Oswald replied with a smile. Adonis arched an eyebrow but never said anything over the name of the store.
