Chapter 77: Plans And Theories Part Seven!

Elijah Part Four!

Needing more space than what the rooms offered, Elijah and Kenneth headed to an open clearing. They would use tungsten chains to try and at least contain the beast, if anything it would buy them a few extra seconds before it tried to rip their heads off.

“How long did it take for transformation?” Elijah asked,

“Thirty seconds,” Kenneth replied. That was not a lot of time to get the beast to submit and pledge. New pack members have to drink the blood of the Alpha in order to pledge! That’s it Asmo! What’s it? They have to accept it! The wheels in Elijah’s head began to turn, that might be what he was doing wrong. He was relying on the blood he forced on them to bind them to Black Shadow.

“They have to willingly drink. Two shots!” Elijah thought out loud,

“What?” Kenneth looked at him,

“It’s going to take two shots. One forced to sever the connection and another taken willingly to pledge them to a pack.” Elijah said. Hopefully that is what it took, if not then this theory was a bust and he killed three people.

“How do we willingly get them to drink?” Kenneth asked.

“The first one I turned understood what I wanted so they have some semblance of comprehension.” Elijah said,

“Thirty seconds is not a lot of time to negotiate,” Kenneth reminded him.

“No, it’s not, but we’re going to try it anyway,” Elijah agreed. Both men looked at the man standing chained in the field. He whimpered and shook his head violently back and forth.

Whispering a silent acceptance, Kenneth handled the blood shot, Elijah who repeated the same action as a precaution. He would need to get him down on the ground so Kenneth could force the shot down his throat. His lightning fast movement had the man pinned to the ground, his mouth was forced open and Kenneth dumped the shot in his mouth and down his throat before Elijah’s hand clamped over it. They both stepped back slightly as he thrashed around fighting his beast for control. Elijah laid hit after hit each time the man was on the surface. Kenneth kept an eye on the time that was passing them.

“Due minuti!” He called. Elijah hit him again and again all the while thinking there had to be a more effective way to deliver the blood. Maybe an injection would work better. Less chance of him being bit by one. If this works he’ll try that next.

“Thirty seconds!” Kenneth called. His eyes glued to the man, watching as he clawed at his skin. His clothes were torn and shredded as man and beast struggled. When the body collapsed they waited for the growling to inform them the beast became victorious.

“Time starts now!” Kenneth said at the first grumble.

“Do you pledge to Alpha Adonis?” ….grrrrrr….

“Do you pledge to Black Shadow Pack?” ….grrrRrrrr….

“Twenty seconds,” Kenneth called.

“Get up and pledge to Alpha Adonis” Elijah commanded. ….grrrRrrrr…. The beast moved, and slowly began to rise. Elijah held the shot out to him, but he refused, shaking his head.

“Dammit! Pledge NOW!” ….grrRrRrRRRrRrRrrr….

“Fifteen seconds” Time was running out and this beast was being stubborn. ….grrRrRrRRRrRrRrrr….

“Ten seconds” Kenneth called. ….grrRrRrRRRrRrRrrr….

“PLEDGE NOW OR I’LL RIP YOU TO PIECES” Elijah yelled. The beast’s eyes widened as he saw the burning orange of Asmodeus. Looking from him to the shot in his hand.

“Five seconds” ….grrRrRrRRRrRrRrrr…. Ripped from Elijah’s chest and the beast grabbed and downed the shot then bowed before Elijah. Submitting and pledging himself to Alpha Adonis and Black Shadow Pack.

“Times up!” Kenneth called.

Both men stepped back and waited. When it didn’t appear anything was going to happen, they looked at each other then took small steps forward. The beast threw its head back ….owooooooooooo…. The piercing howl rang through the clearing then it grabbed its head, whimpering and shaking it violently back and forth. Elijah and Kenneth scrambled back watching to see what was going to happen. This was not like the other reactions, this was something different. The link should have snapped into place and the beast should be fine so what the hell was happening now? Did we break it? I think so! We broke Elephant? I think we did. I don’t think this is going to work! Clearly, what’s it doing? I don’t know! The flesh began to tear from the body, blood pooled on the clearing floor, snarls and whimpers echoed through the air. ….owooooooooooo…. One more howl and the flesh tore away exposing blood coated red fur and the beast collapsed in the clearing.

“Santo cazzo!” Kenneth stumbled backwards. Elijah checked the front of him, he was clean.

“That was not the same reaction” Kenneth said from behind Elijah.

“No it wasn’t,” Elijah agreed. The beast moved and the two men backed up even more. ….grRRrRRRrRRrr…. Deep growled breaths and low snarls as it began to rise to its four feet. ….grRRrRRRrRRrr…. When it lifted its head, ice blue glowing eyes bore into them. Lips curling back exposing its sharp teeth. ….grrRrRrRrRRRrRrRrRrrr…. ….grrRrRrRrRRRrRrRrRrrr….

“Maybe I shouldn’t have hit it so hard,” Elijah said. The glowing eyes snapped to him, the snarls slightly dying down, but when Kenneth moved it lunged forward breaking the chains. ….grRRrRRRrRRrr….

“NO!” Elijah boomed standing in front of Kenneth blocking him and the beast stopped dead in its tracks. Bowing before him.

“Don’t eat Kenneth!” Elijah spoke. Don’t eat Kenneth!

“Si, don’t eat Kenneth,” Kenneth repeated, in full support of that notion.

“Sit!” The beast sat. “You understand me!” Holy shit! I think it worked! What? It worked Asmo, it worked! We got an Elephant? We got a fucking Elephant! WE GOT AN ELEPHANT ….owoooo….! Asmo! Sorry, but I’m so fuckin excited ….owooooooooooo….! ASMO! Sorry!

“Who is your Alpha?” Elijah asked. Alpha Adonis Bradshaw!

“What pack are you with?” Black Shadow Pack!

“Kenneth!” Don’t eat Kenneth! Each command the wolf obeyed, each answer the wolf made had Elijah’s grin getting bigger. It worked, they made a guard dog.

“Did it work?” Kenneth asked,

“It worked, holy fuck it worked” Elijah could only look at the six foot wolf in front of him a smile on his face. Quick name it elephant!

“Your name is Elephant!” The name tumbled out of Elijah’s mouth and Kenneth could only look at him, his eyebrow arched. My name is Elephant, don’t eat Kenneth!

“Elephant lie down” The wolf complied and lay at his feet.

“You can change its name?” Kenneth asked, after he watched the giant wolf comply with the command.

“Good boy!” I am a good boy. My name is Elephant. I’m a good boy, a really good boy. Don’t eat Kenneth! The tail wagged as the beast panted happily at being praised.

“I want one!” Kenneth declared.

“You’re going to need blood from Alpha Kane,” Elijah said, nodding.
