Chapter 60 

They got home and she went straight to shower. Of course, Liam went with her and they ended up on the bed together He made slow, Out of the world love to her. Afterwards, she collapsed against his chest and slept soundly Liam lay wide awake, thinking about the events that had taken place in their lives. Their unborn baby was in the picture now so he would have to include their child in whatever decision he would make Carla Carla, he breathed her name and cuddled her even more closer. She would have to leave when his baby was old enough to be taken care of by a nanny He turned to her when she whimpered softly Looking down at her, he felt a soft spot in his heart opening to let her in. He caressed her cheeks with his thumb and she let out a soft sigh 

He couldn’t deny anymore that he loved this lady…. Wait, what was he saying? Love?? That couldn’t happen, not with her because it wouldn’t work out. Come on Liam, sleep and stop spouting nonsense, he scolded himself. And he did just that, he slept listening to Carla’s heartbeat. 

“Good morning! “Carla greeted cheerfully as the sweet smelling aroma of bacon eggs filled her nostrils when she went downstairs and into the kitchen. Liam stood by the microwave, wearing an apron and he was holding up a kitchen napkin. He looked sexy, Carla admitted as she stared at him. 

He glanced at her and turned his attention back on the microwave “Morning cupcakes, how are you this morning?” 

“I’m good, did you sleep well? She asked in return. 

He grunted Not really, my night was short ” 

“Why? A nightmare?” She asked in concern and came to stand beside him. 

*It was more than a nightmare “He feigned sadness but Carla could see right through him. 

She rolled her eyes “Well, let’s hear what kept you awake all night” And she folded her arms under her bosom. 

Liam’s eyes followed her action and he gulped, his eyes glued on her breasts. 

*Well?” She brought his attention back to her face when she snapped her fingers before him. 

He faked a cough “Uh… Yeah, I was kept awake all night by a certain someone who kept kicking me out of bed “And he laughed. 

She looked horrified “I didn’t do that! I slept like a real lady * She said proudly. 

Liam snorted “As if ” 

Her eyes went huge “So… I really did all those you mentioned??” 

“Of course!” He answered, returning her hard stare with one of his own too. 

“You’re shitting me She whispered sickly and held onto the counter for support. 

Liam rushed over to her side in a second “Hey, I was kidding! He made her lean onto him for support. 

*You… You swine! She glared at him, her eyes telling him to get ready for her revenge and payback time. 

He kissed her forehead, ignoring the dangerous look on her face “Good morning pumpkin” 

She glared at him “You can’t bribe me with a kiss Mr Blake, get ready for my revenge” 

“Kisses will do then?” He teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief and something else that Carla couldn’t fathom. 

Before she could think of a reply, he started to plant kisses all over her face and Carla grimaced. 

“Yucky!” She said, fake irritation evident in her voice. 

He didn’t stop kissing her and when he got to her lips, she turned her face away quickly and muttered “Morning breath, Liam” 

“Who cares?” He replied and brought her face back to him. 

She protested weakly as she couldn’t fight against his strength. He kissed her until she was out of breath. She finally broke the kiss, gasping for air. 

*Morning breath “She said again and ran away in the direction of their bedroom. 

His laughter followed her all the way into the bedroom. Carla rushed into the bathroom and pulled the lock. She exhaled a sigh of relief and proceeded to bath. Thank goodness he didn’t try to come in, he was probably still in the kitchen, cooking. She stared at herself in the full length mirror, looking for any signs that might make her pregnancy evident but she saw none. Her tummy was still as flat as ever. Was that a good thing? Of course, she answered herself. She was pretty sure she would look pretty ugly when her pregnancy started to show. So she should make do with the little time she had to show off her slim figure Would Liam see her differently when she became heavily pregnant? Would he still like her? These were the questions going through 

her head 

She finished bathing and entered into the bedroom stark naked only to find Liam sitting on the couch, holding up a newspaper. He looked up when she entered and fus eyes widened. He never seemed to get over the fact that she was now his wife and doing that was perfectly normal. Even Carla suddenly felt self conscious as he took in her naked figure. 

“What are you staring at?! She asked in a quite loud voice and quickly went to grab a towel to wrap around her body.

Carla shook her head “You’re unbelievable” And she started to rummage through her wardrobe in search of a suitable outfit. 

Liam stood up “I’m going to take a shower, breakfast is ready though so you can go on to the dining room, I’ll join you” and he disappeared into the bathroom. 

Carla nodded but he had disappeared into the bathroom. Her eyes furrowed in concentration as she thought of what to wear. She finally settled for a faded jean and a Top to go with.
