Wilton balled his fists tightly, let out a sigh after a moment, and leaned against the wall. He fished out a cigarette from his pocket and took a drag. The pale smoke masked his handsome features. 

Inside the ward, Daisy stared at the frail Frances. When Frances saw her come in, he tried to sit up with his hands braced on the edge of the bed. Daisy hurried over to support him, “Careful now.” 

She placed a pillow behind his head. “How are you holding up?” Daisy looked at his increasingly pale and weak appearance, guilt flooding her heart. If it wasn’t for het, he wouldn’t be in this state. 

Frances noticed her teary eyes, and he managed a small smile, “I’m fine, don’t worry.” 

Daisy bit her lip. “I’m sorry.” 

Her voice choked with emotion, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were allergic to mangoes, and I didn’t know there were mangoes in that cake. I’m sorry… it’s all my 

fault…” 

Frances coughed a few times, a hint of redness appearing on his pale cheeks, “I’m okay.” 

A warm smile graced his lips as he gently touched Daisy’s nose, his voice as soft as a spring breeze, “I believe you.” 

Daisy’s eyes widened as a tear fell. It landed on Frances’ hand. 

He flinched slightly. Her tear was so hot it made his heart hurt, as if it could melt the ice in his heart. 

Daisy kept repeating ‘I’m sorry. Guilt filled her heart. Frances grabbed her hand, “It’s not your fault. I wanted to try it. I tasted the mango. It’s been a long time since I’ve had it. I just wanted to try it.” 

The more Frances said this, the guiltier Daisy felt. She knew she had been framed by Mina this time. She had no defense. 

Mina was Frances’ stepmother. She had been in the Boswell family for many years. She couldn’t possibly not know about Frances’ mango allergy. The Boswell family had long banned mangoes from their home. There was no way Mina didn’t know. 

Daisy had rejected Mina’s request the night before, and was immediately set up by Mina. Now, Wilton was sure she was Mina’s mole. She had no words.

Ava laughed, ‘Ms. Mina said Ms. Daisy is a smart woman.” 

Daisy replied, “Those shares, not one less.” 

‘Of course.” 

Daisy looked up at the sun in the sky. She wanted to help Frances and could only agree to Mina’s request. This way, she could do something for Frances. 

Allison was getting ready. She was shooting a cover for a magazine today. The magazine was a promotional product of a mobile phone brand. Although she was just starting her acting career, she already had a chance to shoot an inside page, which was pretty good. Allison wasn’t too picky. 

She was shooting with Sadie this time. Sadie’s situation was a bit different. She believed that once Cathy’s movie was released, she would get a big boost.
