When seeing Christy was on edge, Joshua felt offended again.
There were so many women who dreamt of sitting in Joshua’s luxurious car, but none of them had a chance.
Yet, this poor Christy, who had the honor, showed such hatred and suffering as if this was not a luxury car but a prison car.
Looking at the scenery outside the window, Christy felt uneasy and uncertain.

“I have a private villa at the Windy Hill, near the Penelope Castle. You both can stay there for now. It’s my territory, so no one dared to mess with you. It’s safe, and you can avoid meeting my family, Joshua said.
“Fine. It settled then.” Christy replied indifferently. Christy focused on the scenery, not even glancing at Joshua.
Whenever Christy saw Joshua’s face, it reminded her of the horrible experience on the Starry Dreams Cruise six years ago. Thus, Christy was traumatized by Joshua’s face.
Of course, Joshua was unhappy again!
Very well. No woman had ever dared to ignore Joshua or kept challenging and pushing his limits.
Joshua was running out of his patience.
Both of them were silent in the car..
“Is there any news of my son?” Christy suddenly asked.
“None!” Joshua answered coldly.
“Why don’t you go and ask? What if there are new updates? That’s human life! Can you at least take it more seriously?” Christy was extremely dissatisfied with Joshua’s reply.
“What’s there to hurry? If there’s any news, I’ll be the first to know it.” Joshua replied gloomily.
Except for Christy, no one in the world dared to speak to Joshua so unrestrainedly.
Seeing that Christy and Joshua were talking in a strange vibe, and even the surrounding air became cold, Clara was very
worried!

It was already night by the time the car drove out of the city and into the mountain area.
The beautiful, old–fashioned street lamp seemed like a heavenly road guiding their way forward. The roadside was flanked by dark and deep forests, with no visibility of the distant scenery.
Soon, the car stopped in front of the villa, far from all the hustle and bustle.
Joshua told Christy and Clara to go in first and then arranged for extra men to stay guard.
The villa was decorated magnificently and luxuriously like a palace.
Even a piece of the ornament in the villa was at least a precious antique of great age.
For example, the antique vases on the shelves and the ancient decorative sword hanging on the wall.
The floor was spotless and sparkly clean.
Joshua, so you live in a palace!” Clara looked around the place with her big bright eyes curiously.
“This isn’t a palace. It’s just one of the villas I own. Clara, do you like this place?” Joshua smiled and asked.
“I like it! It’s so big and beautiful here!” Clara answered innocently.

*Clara, if you like it. You can stay here for as long as you want.” Joshua replied gently.
“Mommy, Joshua said it’s fine for us to stay for as long as we want! Can we all live here from now on? Please?” Clara asked excitedly.
“Clara, we’ll talk about this later. Christy was saddened.
Christy did not want anything to do with the Melendez family even for a bit.
However, Christy had to bear with it until her son was back.
Joshua kept staring at Christy’s expression.
Although this villa was not the Penelope Castle, the standard was already very high!
Many women wished and tried their hardest to get into this villa of Joshua that cost over tens of millions!
Yet, a poor woman like Christy got to live in such a nice villa for free, but she did not show even a trace of gratitude.
What was the use of Christy pretending to be so pure and superior for?
It was already dark, and it was time for dinner. No matter what happened, the child should never be hungry, so Joshua asked.
“Clara, what do you want to eat? I’ll get someone to prepare it for you.”
“Joshua, I’m not hungry. I’ll wait until Alan is back before I eat.” Clara replied.
Joshua was surprised as he did not expect his daughter to be so understanding, and their siblings‘ relationship was so close. and good. If it were other children, they would be whining and crying because of hunger by now.
It seemed like Christy had taught the children well for all these years.
“Clara, be a good girl. You’ve to eat some food. Otherwise, you won’t have the strength to catch the bad guys. The police. officers might need your help at any time, and don’t you want Alan to be back sooner?” Christy coaxed.
Eating food was equal to saving Alan?
“Mommy, I’m hungry!” Clara honestly replied immediately.
Joshua was impressed with Christy as he did not expect her to be so good at coaxing children. Christy managed to convince her reluctant daughter to eat in just a short chat.
“Hey, where’s the kitchen?” Christy asked Joshua and continued. “I want to cook something for my daughter with the available ingredients.”
This woman is getting bolder!
In the company, at least, she would refer to me as Mr. Melendez.
Then call my name when angry.
And now, I don’t even deserve to be called by the name and just referred to as Hey?‘ Joshua thought angrily.
“There are no ingredients here. If you want to eat anything, I’ll have someone buy it directly.” Joshua replied with great dissatisfaction and continued, “Didn’t you hear Clara say she was hungry? By the time you’re done with cooking, she’ll be starving. And I doubt the food cooked by you if it was edible or not.”
“You!” Christy was upset and refuted, “She’s my daughter! What I want to give my daughter to eat is my business. You’ve no say in it!”
Joshua ignored Christy and asked Clara directly with a smile, “Clara, tell me, what do you want to eat? I’ll buy it for you, all right?”
“Really? I want to eat cake, ice cream, pudding, chocolate, fried chicken, fries, and burgers!” Clara’s eyes sparkled.
“All right. I’ll have them all sent over.” Joshua happily agreed.
“Thank you, Joshua! You are so good to me!” Clara cheered joyfully.
“These are all junk food and not nutritious at all! How can you buy all these for Clara? Don’t buy any of those!” Christy rejected it instantly.
When hearing Christy’s refusal, Clara pursed her mouth in disappointment.
All those foods were Clara’s favorites, but Christy seldom bought them for her.
Clara asked pitifully, “Mommy, Joshua is treating us so just this once, please!”
“Because he’s treating it, so we’re not going to have it!” Christy stated fiercely.
Clara’s eyes started getting teary as she felt disappointed and sad.
