XIMUN

Ximun scoffed. He wouldn’t say he was surprised, but it truly bothered him that Nirel seemed to have a sinister plan in place concerning Aysu.

So, with gritted teeth, Ximun approached the Lycan, saying, “Step away from her, Nirel.”

“Why?” Nirel’s chuckle was very eerie, it made Ximun’s soul churn in disgust. “Aysu is finally back in my life after so many years. I have to make the most of this moment.”

“Step away from her,” he repeated. “You have no business with us. So, step away and let us leave without much fuss.”

“Are you joking, Ximun?” Nirel stuck out his lengthy, wolf tongue and with evil in his eyes, he used it to slowly caress the tips of his deadly fangs which Ximun guessed would have bitten into the flesh of many, weaker wolves. “You are no match for me, so what makes you think you can stop me from what I intend to do?”

“I’ll take you on if I have to, Nirel,” Ximun returned. At this point, his strides had ended in front of the man who had now fully shifted into a massive heightened Lycan. Nirel was towering above Ximun at an unbelievable height. “I don’t intend to back down.”

“Good.” The Lycan turned away to face Aysu who was still asleep. “You have chosen to stay back to watch me claim Aysu as mine again. I promise that it will be a fun show.”

“Why are you doing this?” Ximun narrowed his eyes and questioned the man before he could reach for Aysu with his furry hands. “What do you hope to achieve from this?”

Nirel sighed hard. “I hate that you are asking me so many questions. But,” he walked to the throne and sat down, “I am willing to tell you my story. It’s an interesting one.”

“Hmm.” As he replied, Ximun kept an eye on Aysu. At the same time, he summoned Evalopus and informed him that he would need their shared powers in the fullest form. In other words, a battle was pending and it had to be won.

“Was it seven or eight years ago when I had to reject Aysu?” Nirel started his tale. Ximun looked in his direction and found it disturbing that he was still in his lycan form because most lycans recorded in history are usually not able to sustain their lycan state for too long. Nirel continued, “After the rejection, I became the worst version of myself. Not only did I read tons of books to drown the pain, I tried to find other means and that was when I met the Lord Of Hell.”

“You met the Lord of Hell?” Ximun was aware that meeting the most hated creature was the only way to become a Lycan, but Nirel claiming that he met him was just dubious. “How?” S~ᴇaʀᴄh the (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

The broad shoulders of the Lycan shrugged. “He appeared to me and offered to make me powerful enough to do as I wish.”

“Are you sure it wasn’t a scam?”

Nirel’s eyes deadened “I have spent the last five years making the wolves of this pack suffer and I am about to do the same to you, do you think it is a scam?”

Ximun almost rolled his eyes. “Please, continue your story.”

“I got the Lycan abilities under the condition of living in this pack. The pack is a little odd because it is closed off from the outside world, but it has been fun marking all the women as mine.” A grin formed on his lips. “I always love to imagine that they were Aysu because that was the only way I could get over her.”

“That’s not getting over her, that’s an unhealthy fantasy. Don’t you have some shame?” Ximun could feel the entirety of his power rushing in and that prompted him to remain stable and firm no matter what happened.

“Why are you obsessed with telling me what to do, Ximun? Would you like to be the coordinator of this story instead?”

Ximun threw his arms up in surrender. “Please, go ahead.”

“Nah. The story is ruined. But the basic point is that, now that Aysu, the reason I became a Lycan wolf is back, I am going to make her mine. We will become mates and live together forever.”

“That’s not going to happen.”

“You can’t do anything about this, Ximun. I have told you-”

“That’s not the point, Nirel. The person you should be bothered about is not me, it is Aysu. She is not as easy as you think. She won’t let you get away with this at all.”

“Aysu? Are you sure we know the same person?” Nirel chuckled again. “Aysu is a timid wolf who will do anything I say. We are each other’s first love and-”

Ximun’s ability to remain patient in that state had run thin. So, with slight anger in his voice, he said, “Aysu, is the bravest soul I know. She will fight for her life the way she fights for the lives of other people. And, she is my mate and my wife.”

“I don’t care about that.” Nirel got up and it seemed it was time for the impending battle to happen. “Aysu is here with me and I do not intend to let this opportunity pass.”

“You’ll have to deal with me first, Nirel.” Ximun maintained a determined stance. “And I am not going to let you lay a finger of yours on my wife.”

Nirel laughed again. “I was hoping to escape the battle because I know it will be a waste of time but if you insist, I am willing to oblige.” His right hand stretched to the side and within his grip, the blackest sword formed with ease. “But know this, I won’t go easy on you.”

“Huh.” Ximun scoffed.

“And, I am not joking.”

Ximun approached Nirel with an almost invisible speed. And without holding back, he launched a punch into his shoulder joint. A cracking sound was produced and that made Ximun proud of the attack but when Nirel turned to face Ximun, full anger was all over his face.

Nirel’s sword then flew into the air, its blade tilted and aimed to fully attack Ximun.

Ximun was ready to dodge the attack, but Aysu appeared out of nowhere, and he lost all sense of movement as that moment immediately became his hell.
