Chapter 4 

Melanie York was delighted to see Aurelia suddenly come back. The smile on the former’s face was still worry–free and peaceful since she did not know what would happen. 

As Aurelia thought of her sickness and scrawny, skinny figure later on, she felt like crying. 

Right after Aurelia entered the house, she hugged Melanie’s warm body tightly and sobbed. “Mom!” 

“Hmm… What’s wrong. Auri? Oh my, why are you crying? What’s going on? Did you quarrel with Marcellus?” 

Aurelia hurriedly shook her head and wiped the corners of her eyes. “No, I just miss you, Mom!” 

“Silly cheeky girl, just come back when you miss me. I’m not far away from you. Why are you crying? You scared the heck out of me. I thought my precious Auri was wronged!” 

Looking at Melanie’s clueless and carefree face, Aurelia tried her best to control her emotions. 

Aurelia told herself not to scare Melanie. The latter did not know their happy family would be gone forever in two days. 

The main purpose of Aurelia’s rebirth and coming back to life again was to change that unfortunate destiny. Hence, she must be strong–willed. 

“Mom, I want to eat the meatballs you made! I’m craving for it.” 

“Okay. I’ll go to the supermarket and buy some fresh meat. Fortunately, it’s still early, and I can make it in time. I coincidentally also ordered a cake.
