Chapter 43 

Charles was surprised before, but now he was utterly shocked. What was Aurelia planning to do? 

Aurelia had specifically hired him with a high salary, excluding his team He could understand that she valued him alone and didn’t want his team, but she wanted to recruit stock traders from Gronga with high salaries, and he could tell from her tone that she would bring back quite a lot of people. This was highly abnormal. 

What puzzled him the most was that these stock traders would be settled in different places, which showed that Aurelia didn’t want all of them to 

know each other. 

“What does she mean?” Charles asked himself inwardly 

“It’s almost like espionage! Isn’t it too exaggerated?” he thought. 

“Mr. Shawn, you will understand why I’m doing this in the future. But even this might not be enough. However, for now, the team is just in its initial stages, so we have to do it this way. “Ms. Swanson, with all due respect, are you so certain that your investment will definitely yield profits?” asked Charles. 

“You see, with so many people and such large expenses, including the office buildings and generous settlement fees, your investment in the stock market needs to generate returns of over 200%. Otherwise, you won’t have significant profits and surplus after deducting transaction fees and other 

costs.” 

“Returns of over 200%?” Aurelia smiled faintly and did not comment further on it. 

However, it was enough for Charles to see that she didn’t even take the 200% seriously. Obviously, she thought nothing of 200% profits.

Aurelia took out the muted phone from her bag and saw seven missed calls. Six of them were from Marcellus, and the last one made Aurelia pause for a moment because it was from Scott. 

She quickly checked the time, realizing it was an hour and a half ago. Worried, Aurelia immediately dialed the number without a second thought. 

Since their accidental encounter, Scott hadn’t called her once in all these days, and today was not a Saturday or Sunday, so his sudden call meant there was something important. 

As expected, the call was quickly answered, but it wasn’t Scott who spoke. It was one of his classmates, informing her that Scott had been beaten up and was currently undergoing examination at Petunia Hospital. 

As soon as she heard this, Aurelia became anxious. She started her car and drove straight to Petunia Hospital. 

She hurried to the entrance of the examination room and saw Scott with a bandage wrapped around his head. He was being helped out by a boy about the same height as him. 

“Scott, what happened? Who hit you?” asked Aurelia. 

“A Aurelia?” Seeing Aurelia’s anxious face, Scott was surprised. “W Why are you here?” he asked. 

**Scott, I called her. When I found you unconscious, I brought you to the hospital. The doctor asked me to contact your family, but I didn’t have their 

number. So, I went through your phone and found your sister’s contact. That’s why I called her,” said the boy,

The boy finally realized that although Scott saved Aurelia’s number as “sister“, she was obviously not Scott’s biological sister. This fact could be seen clearly from her appearance, clothes, and temperament. 

The young woman in front of him, who looked anxious but had extremely delicate features, was obviously a rich girl from a noble and well–to–do family. 

If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t have believed that Scott, who was always known as a pauper in school, would know such a 

high–class woman.

“Scott, what happened? How did you get hurt? I was in a meeting and had my phone on silent, so I didn’t hear it ring. That’s why I came so late. Did you get yourself examined? What did the doctor say?” asked Aurelia. 

Scott didn’t expect Aurelia to be so anxious and concerned after seeing him injured. He was moved and excited at the same time. 

He shook his head quickly. “Aurelia, I’m fine. It was just a minor incident, and I bled a little. I’ve taken an X–ray. The doctor said I had a slight concussion, but I will be fine after a few days of rest!” 

“What? You have a concussion? Then why are you still standing? Hurry up and get hospitalized. You should stay in the hospital for a couple of days!” 

said Aurelia. 

“Hospitalization? Aurelia, it’s okay. I don’t need to be hospitalized. I don’t feel dizzy at all now. I still have classes tomorrow. I want to go back to school!” said Scott.
