As the moist strands of hair brushed against his face, Jacob didn’t feel any pain or wetness. Aurelia’s body, on the other hand, stiffened slightly, indicating resistance.
However, in the next split second, her hands had already taken the initiative and wrapped around Jacob’s neck.
“Earlier, I helped you get on the elevator, and now it’s your turn to carry me to the room! By the way, I’ve filled a large tub of hot water in the bathtub for a certain one. If you go now, you can enjoy a relaxing bath together. How does that sound?”
Hearing that, Jacob’s eyes immediately darkened.
Abruptly, he lifted Aurelia into his arms and stood up. He didn’t bother putting on his slippers and walked straight into the master bedroom.
“Hey, hey! I don’t need to take a bath. I already had one earlier!”
“It’s fine. You can join me for another one!”
Aurelia stared at her wet bathrobe as she was once more thrown into the bathtub while being rendered speechless.
After saying that, he proceeded with great care and orderliness. Before entering the bathtub, he ensured that he was completely naked by taking everything off of his body, including his wristwatch.
That particular fact confirmed Aurelia’s perception of Jacob’s personality. Despite his youthful appearance and temperament, Jacob possessed a meticulous and cautious nature, with a desire for perfection ingrained in him.
Indeed, the fact that he removed his wristwatch demonstrated that he was a detail–oriented person. It indicated that he was the type of person who could keep his cool in any situation and at any time.
It appeared that she needed to be more watchful and cautious around Jacob. She should not treat him in the same manner as she treated Hayden.
Otherwise, a single misstep could easily result in her shooting herself in the foot..
People like Jacob were no easier to deal with than Hayden, who had a cold and ruthless personality.
If she was careless, they could become even more difficult to handle.
After all, Jacob’s outward personality may differ significantly from his true personality deep within.
Aurelia could see how the outward appearance he presented could have been purposefully designed to deceive or mislead others. It was possible that he used it to manipulate people. However, beneath the surface was his true character, which ultimately determined his approach and decisiveness.
“Is there something wrong? Why are you staring at me so intently? Your gaze is fixed on me, and you aren’t even blinking. Do you think I’m more attractive than any other man you’ve ever seen?”
He leaned in slightly, lightly kissed her at the corners of her mouth and cheek, and asked absentmindedly, “Why so quiet? Are you nervous?”
“Just a little bit!” Aurelia nodded and admitted it honestly.
“Aurelia, your skin is so smooth…”
“M…Mr. Miller”
The next moment, Aurelia took the initiative to press her lips against his.
“Aurelia, are you ready? I wish I could be more gentlemanly, but I’m at my limit…”
Jacob’s voice was tense, indicating that he had reached his limit.
