The Magic Door

Every elf stops on what they are doing and looks at Peter and Raine while some whisper to each other and the others just look shocked to see a human in the kingdom. Peter felt uncomfortable with all the looks and stares. Raine held her head up high and looked at every elf with her wings, moved up a little to make her look bigger and strong.

“We come here to see the queen.” Said Raine with a stern voice.Everyone whispers some more before they go silent and look up at a staircase where a woman stood at the top. She was wearing a white dress and her skin was white with a white hue around her that made her glow and her hair was long and wavy that is white with her ears poke out from her hair. Peter was awestruck by her beauty and his eyes followed her down the staircase as she was looking at Peter with ice-blue eyes. Once she was on the final step, she placed her hands in front of her while clasping them together and looked at Peter and Raine. Every elf bowed down so did Raine as Peter stood a bit while looking at her before bowing down to her.

“Rise.” She said as her voice was powerful and kind and everyone stood up and looked at her. Zimcat came out of nowhere and climbed on the queen and sat on her shoulder with a smile on his face while the queen smiled at her little friend. “Zimcat, you made it. You did an amazing job watching these two.”

“Yes, and like I said, queen Sofie, this human might be…” He looks at Peter before leaning in her ear and whispering. “The one.”

“I see, I see, well Peter Williams. Please come with me alone.” Sofie said while turning around and headed back upstairs.Peter looks at Raine as she nods her head by telling it’s alright, Peter nods back and follows Sofie. Walking up the stairs while Sofie was waiting for him up top and when he got to the top, she ushered him to follow her so he did. They walk together and head to a garden where there are statues of elves and dwarves. Peter looks at the statues as he wonders who they are.

“You are wondering who these statues are?” Sofie asked while looking at Peter while he nodded. “These were the first kings and queens of Zarlakarla including knights. Also, some of them died in a great battle.”

“Not really. Zimcat told me everything you have done, including saving that poor mother dragon from being killed.” Sofie said while reaching out a hand and touching a dead flower and with a glow the flower was alive again. “Plus, he told me you have the great only one king sword and shield.”

“So, he was a spy for you?” Peter mumbled while Sofie turned and looked at him.

“What was that?” She asked while Peter looked at her.

“He was a spy for you, was he?” Peter asked, while Sofie smiled and turned her attention to the sakura tree while the blossom fell gently from the tree.

“Kinda, he has been my friend ever since I was little and he always comes and tells me stories or stuff he has seen.” Sofie answered him while holding her hand out as a blossom fell on her hand and she curled her fingers before bringing it to her chest. “You know, Peter, I may not know where you came from, but there is something about you. Something that is strange about you. I can see it, but I don’t know what. Now let’s talk about how you got here.”

“Yes, well, I found this door in a locked room and I opened it and there was another world on the other side of the door and strange markings with a dragon human like that have worlds around her head and wings and.”

“Wait, markings? Do you mean like those markings?” Sofie pointed to a wall that has the same markings as on the door. Peter’s eyes widened and walked up to the wall and gently touched it while creasing the markings. “So I am guessing these are the same as on the door?”

“Yes, but… what does it mean?” Peter asked, while Sofie stood next to him and looked at the marking.

“We once had a human that used to live here but died in another world. He had the most powerful magic in him. He made this door with the same markings to show that he can go from world to world. But the door could only go to two worlds. This world and the other world that was filled with only men. So maybe you stumbled to his door.” Sofie said as the blossom turned into a seed and she kneeled and planted the seed in the ground. “But you may be like him.” She said mostly to herself while looking at the slowly growing seed turning into a small tree.Peter looks at Sofie, wondering what she meant by that before he felt someone was watching him. He turned around to see if anyone was behind him and saw no one, just a gust of wind. Shaking off the feeling, and turning back around to be face to face with Sofie as she was looking at him closely. Peter steps back from this while Sofie looks at him up and down slowly before placing her hand on his chest as she feels the power growing in him. With a smile and pulling her hand away, and look at Peter with kind eyes and respect.

“There is something in you that is the same feeling as that man, but yours is stronger.” Sofie told him while it confused Peter what she meant by that.Before he could say anything, an elf ran in with fear in his eyes, telling something was wrong. Peter could feel the air thicken up with evil and something else, like death. Sofie’s face hardens and her eyes turn dark with anger and worry at the same time. The elf took a deep, shaky breath out while looking at Sofie.

“King Draken is here, my queen.” The elf said as Peter’s heart skipped a beat with fear but yet the fear faded away as there was a new feeling that Peter can’t put his finger on it.

“We will be there right away, thank you.” Sofie said while the elf nodded and walked off. “Peter, whatever happens, you must not show fear, show courage.”

“I will.” Peter said as Sofie smiled softly at him before walking off.Peter stood there for a bit and looked at the wall with the markings one last time before heading off to where the noises of people.
