Chapter Nine

Louie

The sound of rushing water calmly woke me up. I opened my eyes and looked around. It was dark, but some light filtered through the wall of cascading water. I sat up and stretched. I stood up and walked around the cave. I ran my hand through my hair and grimaced. I picked up a few items of clothing and went outside to the shore of the little spring. I set the clothes on a huge rock and pulled off the ones i had on. I dived into the surprisingly warm water and paddled to the middle. I swam over to the waterfall and let the water hit me. I let the water soak into my skin as I bathed in the spring. Then I got an uneasy feeling.

‘Someone is watching.’ Naula says.

‘Is it Damon or Nate?’

‘No, but I don’t feel threatened. Just a little annoyed that he won’t show himself.’

“Whose there?!”

No answer. I hear more leaves crunch.

“Seriously! Show yourself!” I yell.

All of a sudden A guy landed on the shore next to my clothes. He had midnight black hair with some silver mixed in with it. His eyes were gold and silvery. He smiled at me with perfect white teeth and soft pink lips. His skin was dark and he defiantly worked out. I stared wide eyed at him as he picked up one of my shirts. He looked at me and set the shirt down.

“Mind if I join you?” He asked.

His voice make Naula do flips. ‘Of course you can’ she purred.

‘Naula, what is your problem? We have mates remember?!’

‘He is my mate.’ Another voice said.

‘Naula who was that?’

‘It’s Jamie. I’m your...vampire half.’ The voice said

‘What?!’

‘Calm down Louie, he won’t hurt us. In fact, he’s been waiting for us, for a very long time.’

‘Who, is he?’

’He’s our third mate. Our vampire mate.” Jamie says.

“Are you a little shy?” He asks

I shake my head no.

“So, may I join you?” He asks again

I hesitantly nod my head. He smiles and begins taking off his clothes. I look away, earning a growl from both Jamie and Naula. I glance back and freeze. Where did he go? I glance around, my heart starting to speed up. Then I felt a pair of arms go around my waist. I shrieked and turned around. He smiled at me.

“I knew you would be beautiful.” He whispered.

Naula began to purr at his touch. ‘Wrap your arms around him.’ Jamie says.

I slowly wrap my arms around his neck.

“Whats your name beautiful?”

“L-louie.” I stutter

“What about the other two?” He asks gently pushing me up against the rock.

My breath hitched. “N-naula and J-jamie.”

“Perfect names for such a perfect mate. My name is Jared. Just Jared.” He said letting his hands slide down and settle on my waist. “May I?” He asks looking at my lips.

‘Tell him yes...’ Jamie says.

I nod and he instantly leans in and kisses me on the lips. I expected coldness and harshness, but instead the kiss was full of heat and passion. He wrapped his arms around me tighter and pulled me to him. He bit my lip and I gasped, letting him slid his tongue in. Fire burned through my body and sparks flew every time we touched. My mind was in a haze and the only word that went through my mind, was....more. All I wanted was more. More of his lips, More of his touch, more of...him. More, more, more, more. I tangled my fingers in his hair and deepened the kiss. Everything in my mind had gone numb.

“I want you.....right now.” He said through a few ragged breaths. “Please...I’ve waited...for so long...”

Jamie pushed through my mind. She begged me to say yes.

“Will....it hurt them?” I asked thinking of Damon and Nate.

“They will feel a little sick, nothing too drastic.” He says nibbling on my ear. “So, may I have you, my love?”

I looked into his beautiful eyes and said “Yes.”

Then he kissed me and everything around us blurred. One moment we were in the lake, the next, we were in the cave. We fell onto the sleeping bag and everything after that was pure pleasure.

Damon

“Shit.” I said pacing around. “Where the hell could she have gone?! We have searched everywhere!”

“Damon, calm down.” Nate said.

We were both worn out and physically stressed. The thought of losing her to some leech, made me furious. What if he takes her? Worse, What if they mate? My body shuttered at the thought.

“What do we do?” I asked.

Nate didn’t respond. I looked at him. He had a sick expression on his face.

“Hey, are you okay?” I asked walking over to him.

He shook his head no and sank to his knees. He let out a groan and his body began to tremble.

“Whats wrong?”

“It feels....like...my body....is on fire.. and there’s like a thousand knives in my stomach.” He gasped.

Suddenly, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. My knees gave out and I fell to the floor. My bones cracked and broke, or at least that’s what it felt like.

“Shit! He’s found her!” I managed to say. “He’s fucking her, dammit!”

My mind swirled and I screamed out as the pain intensified. I couldn’t bare it. I felt like I was dying. Then blackness took over me, but the pain didn’t go away.
