Lucian leaned in and k*ssed his mate on her forehead. He attempted to k*ss her on the l*ps but she said no. She said he had a breath which reeked. of Alcohol.

“But you just k*ssed me a few seconds ago?” He said in a whisper and in at lighter note. What happened there?

“I know but as of that moment, I desired you, now, not anymore. Please understand me. It’s the hormones. They have me acting like this. I’m really sorry, Lucian” he watched her tell him. She apologized and even begged him to have mercy, saying that she would make it up to him.

“Is something the matter? Did you see anyone?” She asked him instead.

“No, but I was just wondering why you had locked the door and why the door was slightly closed when you had opened it. I thought I saw someone as I entered but since you said no, I’d leave it at that”

Lyra smiled. It was a fake smile. “I did not have anyone here since you left and I shut the door because I wanted to have some alone time, you know.. to be able to put myself together.

Today has been hard on me. It hit me like a plague and although I am trying my hardest not to show it. I’m struggling inside” she said as sh raised her hand to her face.

“Well, I said earlier to you that I wished to be left alone but you keep coming back and somehow, everytime you come, you accuse me of something new. You’re making me feel even more worse than I did when lost the baby”

Lucian’s heart sank. Was he really making her feel uncomfortable with his presence or was she doing something bad and she did not want him to know?

He thought about it. Everytime he had come in, he had seen her with someone and so, it wasn’t his presence that made her feel uncomfortable, it was the fact that she was doing something fishy.

“I’m sorry about that, dear. I just thought that since you lost the baby, you would need a companion and a shoulder to cry on. I thought this was at hard moment for you and you would need me. I had no idea I was disturbing you. I am so sorry” he said to her.

If you’re truly sorry, you can give me the space I need. I don’t mind. I would love to be left alone. If you please” she said as she unwrapped her arms from his waist and stood up straight.

“Thank you, Love. Please close the door on your way out.” She added.

Lucian took a deep breath and nodded. She was right and he was wrong. but he wasn’t going to leave. At least not like that.

He turned to the door and grabbed the door handle. There was a key attached to the keyhole. He smiled.

It was privacy she said she had wanted and it was privacy she was going to have. He turned to her again.

“Lyra, are you sure you desire no one to be around you? Not even me? Are you positive about that?”

“Yes. I would need rest and sleep. Do not even send me a guard or a maid. I want absolute isolation. Please” she said to him.

“Very well then” he said as he pulled out the key and stuck it on the other side. “You are my Luna and I can not deny you what you wish for. What you want is what you shall get.” He said as he walked out of the door.

He closed the door and started to turn the keys. Lyra heard him and

screamed.

“Lucian. What do you think you are doing? Lucian?!!! Lucian stop!!” She continued to scream but Lucian had already locked the keys and taken it out. He looked to his left and then to his right as he put the key in his pocket.

Lyra continued screaming from inside of her room but it did not concern Lucian. He had done what she had asked for. He knocked on her door and asked her to calm down as he reminded her of what he had asked her. Lyra threw a tantrum inside her room. She said she did not expect him to

lock her in.

“Lucian, open this door at once.” She screamed.

“If I have to open the door, I would have to stay with you until you feel better. Should I open the door?”

“No!” Came her reply. Lucian nodded. It was just what he had thought.

“I understand. I really do and I want you to have enough time for yourself so right now, I’m leaving you to it. The next time I will be here in three days from now. I would request that they pass food to you through the holes in the door. Don’t worry you’ll be alright” he said to her.

“Goodbye”, Lucian nodded as he walked away. He had walked to the end of the hall and was about to head out when his intuition told him to stop.

He would witness something mind blowing if he waited and watched closely. Lucian fought with that voice but at the end, it won and he carefully hid behind the walls.

A few minutes had passed and soon, Lucian watched as someo

in a healer’s attire came back to the door. He could sense worry healer’s behavior but he wondered why the healer should have be worried in the first place.

Was something happening to his mate? Was it serious?

He knew Lyra. She could do anything to get her way and she might have

been something to have caused the healer to panic.

Lucian waited for a bit and still could not understand what was going on and so,

he stood up. He decided he would go to the door. He needed to see what was happening for himself.

As he approached the healer, he had a weird feeling and so he looked down. The healer had the same legs as the figure he had seen in Lyra’s room before. Why? Or was he being paranoid?

Well. He would find out who it was.

He had finally reached as he tapped on the healer’s shoulder to see who it was. The healer tuned and he gasped…
