I shot the arrows,my eyes narrowing and my brows furrowed in concentration. 

I’ve not heard from Neither Amara nor Raven for the past three days. It’s been twelve days since they left and as the day progressed,my heartache became worse. 

It was as if a part of me had been pulled out. Is this how a mate bond is?,it wasn’t like that with Rielle. 

“You seem troubled” Greyson says as I shot the wrong target for the 35th time. 

“I want to see her,” I said, sighing, dropping my bow and shoving my hands deep in my pockets. 

“You can’t leave at this crucial time Alpha. Look at what’s been happening and we aren’t even close to getting anything done.” 

He was right. It’s been a month since my children got kidnapped and the only thing I’ve achieved is confirmation that Rielle is indeed a part of the blood creek. I still couldn’t think of a reason why she would do such a thing. 

“What if something has happened to her?” I asked as I paced around, my heart raced at the thought of something happening to her. 

“Raven is strong. He’ll protect her.” 

I heaved a sigh, “He was supposed to report everything that happened at the end of each day but there has been nothing from him for the past three days” 

“I’m sure there is a reason for that. Nothing had happened to them” he bit out firmly but I couldn’t help that gnawing feeling at the back of my mind,something is very wrong. 

“If we asked everyone in silverpine who their fated mate is,they might lie to us. If not that’d be a step to finding out who the leader of this blood creek is.” 

“There is an ancient device I heard a of,that could help us with that. I’ve forgotten the name,but I’m sure the Crone does. Maybe you should go to her and enquire,’ Greyson said and I nodded. 

He was right,I’ve heard of such a tool being in existence. It’s the only option we have currently.

“Lucyyy” Giselle drawled out as she walked towards us. 

I gritted my teeth at that. “Don’t call me that!“. 

I saw Greyson try to stifle a laugh and I glared at him murderously. 

She wrapped her arms around Greyson and I glared at the both of them!. They’ve been together for years and you’d think they’ll grow tired of their excessive public display of affection. 

“You look like hell’s cousin” Giselle stated,still wrapped around Greyson like they’ve been glued together. 

“Get the hell away from my sister!” I said glaring at Greyson,but they drew tighter into each other and I sighed before stomping off. I was tired of always pulling them apart,the more I did that, the more they became closer. 

I went straight to the cell, I needed to have a word with the crone. 

From afar I saw guards sprawled across the floor, I briskly walked towards them. and examined the bodies, they were all dead, no external wound,no sign of struggles. Poison perhaps. 

All the people in the cell in that wing were dead. I walked briskly to the east wing and all the security officers were dead,but the prisoners were still alive,panicking and huddled towards each other. 

“Did you see them?

“I don’t know any of them alpha,they were strong…very strong” he breathed out shakily. 

I hissed as I walked to the special cell,where the crone was,she was gone,there was only one thing there,a silver pendant that she always wore over her n*eck. I bent to pick it up. I pulled it and it went apart to reveal a key. I was surprised. So the pendant I’ve been seeing in her n*eck since I was a child was a key. 

She was kidnapped!. She’d never leave without that n*ecklace, I’ve never seen her take it off. And I had no idea what that Key was for. 

I walked to the other side where Nathaniel Archer was held. He was still there,his head bent and when I got there he raised his head,his eyes levelling up to mine.

“Your granddaughter did this.she has become a threat to this community” I thundered and he bent his head back,in shame.

“I have nothing to say” he murmured and I clenched my fist whilst glaring at him. 

“Did you see her?” 

“I’ve never seen nor heard from her since the day she betrayed her family. Rielle is no granddaughter of mine” he bit out firmly. 

“Who is her fated?,” 

“Even if I knew that, I won’t tell you. I am loyal to the park,but I’m also loyal to my family. I can’t just give her out like that.” 

I growled as my eyes darkened,huffing and still with a clenched fist as I walked away. Very well then, I’ll make sure I kill him,maybe that’d draw Rielle to come out of hiding- 

I walked briskly with no destination in mind when someone’s voice startled me. 

“Alpha Alpha!” Someone called,panting and I stopped without turning. 

It was someone from the low ranked security team. 

“You have to see this” he completed,breathing heavily,it was obvious he had been running. 

I wondered what must have been important for him to have been running to inform me of it. Two incidents in one day and I still couldn’t shake off the fact that something had gone terribly wrong with Amara and Raven. 

I trudged behind him as he led the way. We passed the boxing ring and went behind the training ground and the sight that greeted me almost took my breath 

away. 

There was a little crowd forming with some weeping and the others murmuring. 

Greyson seemed to have just gotten there as he barked commands at the security there. I couldn’t hear anything he was saying as everything seemed like a nightmare,a scary one.

crowd,screaming at the top of her lungs and howling,she had instantly transformed and I just stood there, even as I felt Grayson call out to me. 

“Rolan!!!!!!!!!!“,it was Griselda,his mate. 

Someone touched me and that was when I broke from my reverie, I ordered everyone away when someone shouted from behind. 

“Alpha,a package just arrived for you,it’s from the human territory” the person said as he stood in front of me. 

A package from the human territory?,my mind picturered out a hundred worst. packages it could be and I clenched my fist at the thought. Nob*dy harms my mate!. Nob*dy!. 

It couldn’t be a triple attack in one day,the crone being kidnapped, my youngest brother,very innocent being killed and my mate?,it couldn’t be.. 

“Have you checked it?” Grayson questioned the security guard. It was a common procedure,in case it was something that could kill me. 

“I have Alpha” he said,facing me and I snatched the envelope from him. There were no details of the sender written on it. 

“What’s in it? And how did you get it?” Greyson asked again. 

“We received it alongside some supplies and it just said it’s for you,I checked it and indeed it’s meant for you to see” he declared. 

“And what’s in it…” 

Greyson did not get to finish questioning the guard before I ripped the brown envelope open and the sight that greeted me tore my heart to pieces,Amara,my mate with another man on the bed,both n*ked!. 

There were different pictures and they showed her in different places with the same man. There was one taken of her coming out of a hotel room with him,one of her in a club with him,one they were on a yacht cruise,the other was taken with the same man on the bed,she didn’t look like herself but she was smiling. She was happy. This was probably the Man she’s been talking to all these while. 

But when I had asked her,she said He was just her colleague and there was nothing going on with him. our children have been kidnapped and the thing she could do

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. The world became a blur as the pictures. fell from my hand, the others in the crowd gasping as they saw what it was.

I growled and howled as Kaz became depressed. I know I shouldn’t have ran like that but it doesn’t matter. Greyson would take care of everything in my absence
