With Amara out of Silverpine, I believed that everything would fall into place, as the defences would be weakened.

I had to quickly report back. And this time, making sure to leave no room for mistakes.

Rielle will be punished and Amara will go on her ghost hunt for Selene De Forte. If only she knew.

All that was left was to find the little boy, somehow the Crone and him had split up and I believed she would keep him somewhere safe, somewhere she knew that he would be quickly found.

It took a lot of time before I figured it out. She must’ve hidden him in plain sight and there was only one person! know who could figure out where he was, Norman.

Tracking him down was the easy part, but extracting that information from him was the problem, so I decided to bide my time and wait.

I went back to the hideout and smiled softly. I had been away for a while.

“How was your journey?” She questioned, giving me a kiss on my right cheek.

“In one word?, Fulfilling.”

“I spoke to him, he was pissed,” she said, straddling my arms and I smiled softly.

“I received his lashings.”

She frowned. “I told him to take it easy with you!”

“Have you heard from Rielle?” She said after a while of silence.

I shook my head. “She does things her own way and it’s safe to say, we don’t need her anymore. There are other ways to get Elder Nathaniel’s support.”

She seemed to think about it for a while. “Mmm…it’s going to be difficult. You know we only counted on her being your mate. That old man won’t bat an eyelid at us.’

I smiled as I remembered how we had done it. The Blood Creek used ancient werewolf magic and we had used it to turn Rielle’s mind into believing that she was my fated mate.

I knew she wanted nothing more than to become a Luna and when I had shown her the faked prophecy, she had decided to support us.

It was due to her that we never lacked funds. Everyone knew that Elder Nathaniel had money and wouldn’t hesitate to spend it on his daughter.

“Oh, and I forgot to inform you. Lucien plans on punishing her. Before the crone passed, she informed Lucient that the boy escaped. He thinks he doesn’t need us anymore,” I announced and she burst into laughter.

“How interesting. I’ll see how her family’s going to help her out of this mess.”

“Never underestimate Nathaniel Archer. I never thought he was going to escape the death sentence.” I pointed out.

“He must be furious this time. Amara who was by his side has left. His sister’s gone too.”

I nodded. “Anyway, Rielle’s punishment is none of our concern. I believe she was going to abandon us.”

“Abandon?”

“She was straying from the plans and doing things her own way. I believe she decided that she really wanted to stay by Lucien’s side-

She shook her head. “That’s impossible, she told me that she hates him due to that issue with Selene.”

“There’s a thin line between love and hate.”

“Anyway, let’s forget about Rielle. At least she’s out of our lives for good. There’s no reason for us to hide our relationship anymore,” she began and I smiled.

Sherry was my true mate, given to me directly by the moon goddess and we’ve had to hide that from everyone for a long time as we had to make Rielle believe that she was my mate.

Although she had her shortcomings, I had grown to love her and it was hard to convince myself that she wasn’t

“Anyways, I think now’s the perfect time to announce this,” she began, her voice laced with excitement. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Sherry’s Grandfather was an elder of Silverpine, it was her mother who was from the old pack. He was one of the founding fathers of Blood Creek and was the one who mentored me.

“Go on, I’m suddenly eager to hear this news,” I smiled.

“I’m pregnant!”

My eyes widened and I opened my mouth and then clamped them shut again, trying to take in what I had just heard.

“You’re–”

“Yes! And Don’t worry about Rielle’s baby. I’ll take care of that.”

I didn’t want to know what she meant by taking care of, all I knew was that it wouldn’t be good.

“Rielle’s about to be thrown in the cell,” I pointed out and she shrugged.

“So?”

I nodded slowly as realization dawned on me. She wasn’t planning on meeting Rielle to harm the Baby. All she needed was something connected to the baby, in this case, me or her, since she was connected to me. That was how powerful the mate bond was.

“But-”

“Are you in love with her?” She raised a brow.

“I have always suspected that, but I believe I’m certain now. That’s why you let her do whatever she wanted.”

I shook

my head. “No, come on Sherry, It’s not true, if I were really in love with her, I wouldn’t have allowed her to go to Lucien. You know it’s risky.”

“I heard that she has been the one telling you what to do,” she began and then stood up, facing me.

“I don’t care about what you want or what you do, but I’m not going to let you have that woman’s child—-”

“So you’ll hurt a child,” I started, remembering how Rielle felt about children-until something changed in her.

I shook her head. I’m only just finding out about the woman I fell in love with. She said she was going to hurt a child and I believed she meant it. She would hurt the baby and I knew I had to do something quickly.

Rielle might’ve been a tad bit evil, but the baby was innocent. I couldn’t let anything happen to it.

I knew what to do. It was Risky but I knew I had to do it.
