I trudged silently back to my room. I haven’t heard from Greyson in a while and there was still no news of Kai or Amara. I knew that Giselle would be with her. 

Rielle would pay for her crimes, that, I was sure of. 

I knew that it would only be a matter of time before the elders came demanding the release of their Luna. I trust Nathaniel on that.

I sighed, as there was only one person that came to mind. Greyson. I knew it couldn’t be Rielle as she would’ve left a long time ago if it really was her. 

I was having a conversation with the guards when I was informed that some elders were outside, in the deliberation room waiting for me. 

I groaned as I stood up and then chuckled. There really was a spy in the mansion because it wasn’t even up to an 

hour that Rielle was detained and the elders had come to see me. 

They had a look of anger on their faces as I walked into the room.

“Welcome, Wise Zeta Elders. What’s the occasion for this visit?”

I noted that Nathaniel wasn’t present and nodded slowly. He had sent his most trusted followers. 

“Alpha we are here because we’ve heard something that we cannot dare say.” 

I smiled inwardly. If they think they can use her child as an excuse, then they have something else coming. 

“What is it? Elder Griffin?” 

“We heard that the Luna is being held in the cells.” 

“You heard right.” They gasped and I continued. 

“And she will be held there until she is tried-

“But-” 

They tried to interrupt me and I raised a hand, signaling them to be silent. 

“Due to her pregnancy, I have decided to bring the date of her trial close. It’s going to be held in three days and the list of judges will be sent to everyone.” 

This time around, I was indeed prepared. I couldn’t give Nathaniel the chance to spin the judges in his favor and 

there would be no leak this time around. I would inform the judges 3 hours before the trial and the list of judges will be kept to myself.

With that, I walked to my room but thought against it as I walked to the cell. I needed to have a chat with her. 

I was done letting her take people from me. The first person she had taken from me was the first woman I ever loved, Selene. 

I had hated Rielle and the way she always pushed herself for me to notice her. I still don’t understand how I ended up being with her but thinking back now, I think Rielle was responsible for what happened to her. After all, she was her only Rival. 

As soon as she saw me approaching, she stood up. 

“Lucien,” there were tears in her eyes and I almost pitied her. If I didn’t know any better, I would believe that she was innocent. 

“Rielle,” I said as she clung to the iron, her arms flailing in a bid to touch me. 

It was this same cell room I had to let my Sister and Amara stay! It was the most unkempt room in the cell and I realized that she had done it on purpose. 

“Lucien please, just get me out of here and we’ll talk about it–whatever it is,” she looked pathetic. 

I scoffed. There really was nothing to talk about, She was only going to spew more lies. 

“Please, Lucien!” 

“Are you going to spew more lies?” 

She shook her head vehemently as the tears streamed down her face. 

“I promise I’m not lying-” 

Her body shook with sobs. 

“I’ll tell you everything,” she said in between sobs and I smiled. This was exactly what I wanted to hear, not some stupid story about her not lying.

She wiped the tears from her eyes as she spoke. She looked and sounded so sincere that I wondered if I wasn’t making a mistake. 

“I can’t say everything as I’m not allowed to—spell,” she said and I furrowed my brows. 

“You’re under the oath?” I questioned, remembering Norman and the Crone. 

This blood creek, whoever the leader was, must have been very powerful and wanted no mistakes or loose ends. 

He must’ve cut off the Crone’s tongue because she was immune to his powers. And the oath on Norman too. It must’ve been to ensure that should they ever betray him or escape, they would not be able to say anything. 

But this was Rielle, she was tricky. She would do anything to get out of any situation. 

“You’re lying” 

She shook her head as the tears dropped even further. 

“I’m not lying. I know it’s game over. You know the child is not yours and I’ve been cast out!” 

I furrowed my brows, not understanding what she meant by being cast out.
