35. He's hurt

Chapter 35

Subtitle: he's hurt.

*** Melanie's POV***

I couldn't feel my feet and the red light was already moving away fast.

I struggled to stand to my feet but only wobbled and fell back to the floor.

With my hands supporting me I crawled towards the direction the light took, a line of tears came rolling down my cheeks my whole body aches from the whole cold I was feeling.

I had to do something else I'll loose track of the light.

As I thought of what to do it came to my mind to emit the little fire left in my body, maybe it will help me warm up and heal instead of trying to use it to fly.

I closed my eyes and focused on the warmth I felt in my heart.

It was just a little lump but when I worked and focused on it and activated slowly it began to spread out in my body.

From my heart to my whole stomache then it began to distribute to other parts of my body. Soon I could feel my hands again and then the warmth in my legs send blood flowing to them. I smiled and activated the power to the core, flamed blazed around my body like a red hue. That was enough to keep me warm for some minutes

As soon as I opened my yes the red light was gone.

Where'd it go?

I looked around with my large eyes and was able to spot it very far away from me.

It was very little due to how far it was that I almost couldn't see it.

I quickly stood to my feet and began running right towards the red light.

My breathing was disorganized as I ran ahead on the ice.

My foot prints were all imprinted in a line as I ran ahead.

I was drawing near end nearer to the red light.

I soon caught up with the red light.

"wait up you stupid light!"

I snapped at it angrily even though I knew it was childish.

As if the light obeyed me it started moving slowly.

I sighed in relief and Continued following the light.

I didn't know for how many hours we walked but my light began to die down.

I was feeling cold and freezing again.

It was hell for me as I sstarted to stragger.

I fought hard to keep up with the pace of the light but couldn't.

Soon I came accross the ending of the desert.

It looked like a clift.

When I looked down I could spot a beautiful environment there.

The air beneath smelled nice.

Tuned out I have being on top of a flat topped ice hill.

I couldn't help but sigh in relief as I looked around for a route to get down.

Beneath me were isles of beautiful flowers of different colours and pretty trees.

But then as I made to start walking away I saw that the red light had taken a different direction. I began to follow it quietly but then after walking for almost an hour without it stopping I was beginning to get exhausted.

Was it taking me anywhere at all?

would it rally around the edge of the desert hill for more than an hour?

I kept quiet and obeyed grandma's instruction to follow it anywhere it went.

I was getting exhausted and the cold was hitting at me again.

I couldn't feel my legs anymore.

It was as if I was dragging a log of wood along with me.

But we soon came to another edge.

This time it wasn't another beautiful scenery but this one looked ridiculous.

Beneath me was a very vast and spoky dark green jungle.

U can't even see what's beneath as the trees were all tall and covering the whole place

Just like that the red light begin moving down the sloppy part of the hill.

I had no choice but to follow it down the hill.

I was sure to go anywhere it went, do I have a choice?

As soon as I stepped into the dark forest the whole area became dark and an evil force hit me.

I began to here howls of different types of voice and different words that reeked me out to the core.

The red light kept walking deeper and deeper in.

Something reached out from the dark trees and grabbed my arms with its long nails. "aaaarghhhh! *

I screamed and recoiled in fear,yanking the thing away but it was pointless.

The arms of the beastly thing we're long and the nails scratched at my neck as warning to shut up. I heard growling and hissing sounds from the beast that I must have thought it was a snake.

I began to whimper.

Slowly, another hands, no long tube like hands began to wrap around my hands and legs. "arrghh! *

I screamed and I could feel my body emit fire.

The tubes all burned out and the the beast recoiled back into the dark.

I breathed heavily and looked around my sorrounding but the light was missing.

Huh!

And then I began to hear voice and grunts.

I closed my eyes not minding the danger of where I was and activated my hearing powers.

I could now hear things ten times the normal volume.

"ugghhrhhgg.. "

I heard a grubish whimper.

I heard the voice again and my eyes widened.

"arrghhh... What the f*ck are."

I heard a human voice this time.

Why didn't I recognise his voice?

I quickly opened my eyes and looked around me for any trace of a weapon but it was too dark that I couldn't even see anything.

I squatted low and searched the grass with my hands.

A thorn pricked me and I groaned taking back my hands as I rubbed them together I began looking again with my hands hoping to get a stick or something.

My hands brushed against something that seemed like a dried tree branch.

I breathed out and took it from the ground before standing up and began walking towards the direction of the voice,i could hear groaned and then a sound of a slash,as if a knife was used to cut someone.

"I hope your safe.. Hang on for me.."

I muttered knowing fully well whom it was.

It couldn't be anyone if not my mate.

As I walked I made sure not to make too Much noise with my feet.

I held the branch in my hands like a sword and walked as if I were a soldier going in for an ambush. But then my eyesight betrayed me and I tripped on a branch falling hard on the ground.

I groaned in pains and sat up.

There was a set of pure white yes staring at me, I didn't know what it was and couldn't see it. But the gaze was piercing and dangerous.

And then I felt the same slimy tube crawl up to my thighs again and I screamed and jumped to my feet.

Due to the intensity of my voice I am sure that it reflected my light.

I was frightened and just as my light shoned I saw a monster with more than ten long arms staring at me.

It looked like an octopus.

"aaaarghhhh,! *

I screamed and my entire body caught fire lighting up the dangerous pat that was now clear to me. And then when I looked forwards I could see the many legged monster running away.

“why are you running away huh! I thought you wanted to kill me!?"

I shouted and started chasing after it not letting out my body that was till of fire.

The beast disappeared into the bush next to me and I followed suit.

But then when I came out in an open space I couldn't see it again.

Buy I heard a low painful growl ftom behind me.

I turned slowly to look at where it was coming from but was shocked to see what it was.

Right behind me was a black huge but severely injured wolf.

It lay on the grass as if it was dead and it's whole body was filled with blood, its eyes were open. And I knew right away who that wolf was because it eyes twinkled at me and I almost cried. "Ryker..."

I stuttered and ran right toward it.

I bend to my knees right besides him and scooped him into my arms with a lot of difficulties. "what the f*ck happened to you? Your a f*cking alpha how

Could they do this to you huh! *

I shouted as tears rushed out from my eyes.

He slowly shifted back to his human form and he was naked in my arms like a baby.

That made me shed more tears as I hugged him and kissed his wounds.

I looked around and saw his cloths just in the corner.
