***Melanie's POV***

I sighed and stood to my feet walking over to were Ryker was.

Bending to his level I touched his bruised face with my palm and used my hands to clean the traces of blood from his face.

"are you okay? "

I heard him asked and I scoffed.

Was he for real?

"I should be asking you this not the other way round... Common,let me take you near the tree so you could rest while I check the others..

I muttered and helped lift him from the floor.

He straggered and almost fell back when I caught him.

He was damn heavy.

"are you that weak now? "

I asked him.

"don't worry.. I'll heal up in less than five minutes!

He said and I nodded as I supported him towards walk to the tree bottom.

He sat down and exhaled a lot of breath before leaning on it.

I walked back to the other two.

Lulu was on her kneel as her tails were all shoot up and glowing.

I walked towards the Vampire first.

He was just stating on the hard ground.

"are you okay? "

I asked him and he just chuckled.

I smiled and hugged her, patting her back.

Minutes later all four of us were back on our feet and where standing in front of the huge research which is supposed to be the damn gateway.

"now what? Wheres the door??? *

Lulu asked.

I shrugged and looked at the Vampire who had a quizzical look on.

"the tree of course! *

He snapped and immediately walked right into the tree and then disappeared into it.

What!!

I gasped and looked at Ryker who had a good face.

Lulu screamed and looked at me with widened eyes.

"what's going on!?"

She asked and touched the tree but her hands went right through it...

"let's go."

I mumbled and went into it as well.

Immediately my eye sight disappeared and it all became dark and hazzy.

All I could see was darkness as I kept turning and turning around in circles as if I was in a running tunnel.

My stomach was beginning to Churn and hurt, I felt like throwing up but didn't know how. Finally after an eternity of the turmoil I finally had my eye sight back and I was in a desert.

A blank ice desert.

There was no one around and it was all quiet and dark ,no traces of a trees,or anything aside pure white eyes.

I gasped for air and thowed up right on the ice.

The atmosphere was cold and chilling and worst was I had no sweater on.

Where am 1?

*** general POV***

as soon as Melanie left lulu turned and looked at Ryker with worried eyes.

"you should go first."

He mumbled and pushed her through the entrance.

She freaked out and stepped back but he urged her with a cold look.

"you won't die.. Don't act too childish and catch up with Melanie will you? *

He snapped and she finally walked into the tree after talking a deep breath.

He followed suit.

But what the Vampire forgot to tell the three of them was that they were supposed to hold hands when they walk into the tunnel else the tunnel will throw them all in different directions.

Thus while Melanie ended up on a dry ice desert in the center of the immortal world which was the most dangerous and deserted place in the immortal world Ryker was thrown deep into the jungle. Lulu ended up in the immortal town where a lot of spirits walk around in harmony.

Among the four of them it was lulu who was in less danger.

But no one knew where the Vampire ended up.

*** unknown POV***

I smiled evilly as I stared at the tree.

Those fools just did exactly what I wanted them to do.

Like I said before hand.

It was all in my plans.

All that's happenin to them was already sketch out by me even before it happened.

They may think they're on a run to save the world.

Of course that's what I want.

Along with saving the world they'll also condemn themselves to death. And that's how I'll take over. You can call me a coward who only wants to win out of other people's labour and death.

Well I'm proud of it.

In my short time of life I've come to understand one thing.

The heroes always have to die a painful dead.

Only the cowards can live happily under the shadows of the dead heroes

I won't move a muscle.

Power will come running right into my hands in a short time.

*** Melanie's POV***

Where am 1?

"Ryker! "

I called as I clutched unto my arms.

The cold was freaking me out.

“lulu!

I called but my voice only echoed in the cold wilderness.

My feet was hurting badly and I couldn't feel them anymore.

It was as if they're were all dried up.

I felt frozen.

I tried to activate my powers and turn to a phoenix but only ended up getting more exhausted and weak.

Anytime I tried I would only be short of breath.

What was happening?

Are we really in the immortal world or did the Vampire lure us into a trap?

I fell on my knees and my face touched the ice sand.

I was having the cold fry of my life.

Fire and ice can never mix.

And whoever put me in such a place knew well that a phoenix source of power was fire.

How am I supposed to survive in a wild ice land.

And there are no traces of trees or houses close by.

What to do?

My breath was slowly leaving me and I was drifting into unconsciousness slowly when someone appeared in front of me.

I looked up but didn't have the strength to gasp in surprise.

"grandma! "

I called and tried touching her feet but my hands only went inside her.

As if I was in an illusion and it was just a picture of her, nothing else.

"oh my people little girl.. "

She muttered and carrassedd my cheeks but her hands only went inside them.

She was just like a digital picture.

"how did I end up here grandma? Did the Vampire betray me and kept me here?"

I asked and she chuckled.

"no he didn't. This is the immortal world dear. And you are human. Humans are not welcomed here, it will only shift the balance of nature and cause havoc.

You can't survive here and need to leave in two days.

If not you don't you will die.

That's is why you were thrown here when you entered the tunnel.

It is because you had exhausted a lot of gas and the nature here can't handle your weight..." Grandma mumbled and squat to the floor.

I asked with worry.

He got thrown to the demon immortal desert, where the evil immortal spirits live.

He would have a hard time getting out of there and that is why I need you to help him get out. As for the cunning vampire Dan, I have no idea where that fool was thrown to OR where he is now He is completely out of my sight."

She explained and I gasped and tried to sit up but ended up falling back on the ice.

My hands were frozen too.

Ryker was in danger!

I felt a sting in my heart and the pains that followed it was unbearable.

I had to cry out in pains.

What was happening to my mate?

"how do I get out of here. I need to save him!"

I Snapped with a wild eye and she smiled at me.

"that's why I'm here. I'll help you get out. But you must find him and bring him with you to the immortal village before dawn tomorrow.

I will take you to the secret cave to go take the dragons human body,but the cave is dangerous that is why we need four forces.

"if the Vampire is no where to be found then how will we do it!?

I asked.

I was damn exhausted and the mission was already getting too hectic for me to bare.

"do not worry about Dan. He will come around when he's through with whatever he's doing here. You need to find you mate first then we will go to Kai! Here follow where ever this light leads you to!"

She said and immediately dispapered.

All that was left in her place was a dim red ball that shines and twinkles, it began moving immediately.

"grandma! Don't f*cking leave me hanging here. I can't even feel my legs..”

I cussed and gnashed my teeth.
