The Rise to Godhood
Chapter 32: On the way to Earth.

“Where is Kailow?”

Gaia knew the answer to the question, which she exclaimed when the Zetans gathered on Arish’s hovercraft after their visit to Elvonia. Yet she couldn’t let the whole episode go without first knowing why it had happened.

“Uhm, Kailow stayed behind as our ambassador on Elvonia,” Arish replied.

“Ambassador? That’s nonsense. He is my partner, and he was coming with me to Earth.” Gaia objected.

“Kailow sacrificed himself for your sake. Princess Imogen refused to let us near the Elvonian Zeto Crystal. His act of seducing her secured access to the crystal.” Zelinko interjected.

“So, the bastard slept with another woman while I was in a coma?” Gaia shouted.

“He had to. It was the only way to Zeto-charge the sapphires. Princess Imogen wouldn’t let us near them otherwise. He did it so you could save humankind.” Areela replied.

Gaia took a deep breath. She hated how the Zetans defended Kailow’s actions. However, regardless of his motivations, it had happened, and her relationship had ended as True Maker had predicted.

“I see,” Gaia said. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“I am sorry I didn’t tell you when we were on Elvonia,” Areela replied.

“It doesn’t matter. Confronting Kailow for his actions wouldn’t have yielded a positive outcome.” Gaia replied. She turned to Arish and spoke, “How far away is Earth?”

“Earth is 4000 lightyears away, or 40,000 kilometres in this dimension. Unfortunately, we can only drive 250 km per hour to avoid a dangerous crash with another gravity well,” Arish stated.

Gaia did the maths. It would take them 66 days to reach Earth at their current pace. It wasn’t fast enough, as humanity was bound for extinction later this year. Once they had set up their Garden of Eden, it would take time to find humans on the vast tundras on Earth during the Mount Toba Ice Age.

“I’ll speak to my mother. She can tell us if the path is clear so we can go faster.” Gaia stated and left the room.

“Wow, what happened to you?”

Gaia stared at the image of the frail and old middle Eastern woman that True Maker manifested in when she contacted her.

“This is what your future mother from another timeline, Keila Eisenstein, will look like when she dies in the future.” True Maker replied.

“Oh, she must have been hundreds of years old?” Gaia asked.

“No, she died at the age of 37. Dark forces caused her to age, but I have not seen who did this to her.” True Maker replied.

“I see. Would you mind changing to my other mother?” Gaia asked.

True Maker snapped her fingers, and she appeared as a beautiful middle Eastern woman with auburn hair, sparkly green eyes, and a fit body. Gaia flinched and replied, “This is not the body you used during our last conversation. The other female was blonde.”

“Oh yes, I mixed up your mothers from different timelines because I wanted you to see what your future will hold. Ellen Hines is your mother in the 21st century, and Keila Eisenstein will be your mother in the 29th century. Dark forces will taint your mother Keila, and your future self as Sabina Eisenstein will kill her.” True Maker revealed.

“Wow, my future mother will be the destroyer of the universe and my worst enemy?” Gaia asked in shock.

“No. Your enemy will be someone else. A hideous beast shrouded in pitch-black darkness. But, somehow, you’ll stop this enemy, and for this to happen, humanity must survive.” True Maker replied.

“That’s why I contacted you. We are running late because Arish worries about hitting another gravity well if we travel quickly. Can you help us?” Gaia asked.

True Maker froze for a bit, and her eyes flickered back and forth. Then, after a few seconds, she was back in control of her physical body, and she spoke, “Yes. Accelerate to 2520 kilometres per hour and set the course to 88 degrees southwest in exactly 12 minutes. That will take you to Earth in 6 days, and it will avoid all the black holes that are currently ravaging the galaxy.”

“Thank you, mother,” Gaia replied, and she hurried to leave the room so she could tell Arish the new speed and coordinates.

The next day, Areela visited Gaia in her room. Areela was bubbly and chirped, “I am having another baby with Zelinko.”

“Congratulations! how did this happen?” Gaia asked in excitement.

“You should know about flowers and bees. You kept pretty busy with my brother,” Areela teased.

Gaia didn’t answer, and Areela said, “I am sorry, I shouldn’t have brought it up; I understand if you are still upset about what happened with Kailow.”

“It’s okay. I am happy for you. Would you mind if I feel it?” Gaia said.

“Not at all, but you wouldn’t feel it this early; I am in my second month,” Areela said.

“I have attuned senses. I would like to try them.” Gaia said.

“Okay, try away.” Areela teased and pulled up her sweater.

Gaia put her hand on Areela’s stomach, and her eyes flickered as the spirit of True Maker fulfilled her. While True Maker completed her, Gaia could see the boy’s future. He would be a handsome man named Gromvir, and he would become the leader of the dwarves.

“Congratulations. Your son will be a handsome man when he grows up.” Gaia said.

“Wow, do you know anything else about my son’s future?” Areela chirped.

“I am sorry, but I cannot tell you more without altering your timeline,” Gaia said.

“I understand. Thank you, Gaia.” Areela said and hugged her.

As Areela hugged her, Gaia got an insight into her own future. She was pregnant with twins that would be called Ava and Adan. Gaia shook it off. She couldn’t see the future of her children without changing it.

As the True Maker’s spirit left her body, Gaia felt bittersweet. As great as it would be to become a mother, it was a shame that the father was the man who broke her heart.
