Braiba led them through the kingdom until they reached the place where Braiba sensed Amasu and the king from.

Delamu then sighed and nodded his head once the place was his own house as he was disappointed that his son could not think of anywhere else to hide.

Delamu then went to the door and knocked.

After a few moments passed, Amasu answered from inside the house saying, “Who are you”.

“It’s me son, now open the door” said Delamu.

“Father” said Amasu, relieved and grateful that his father was still alive.

Amasu then quickly unlocked and opened up the door to let Delamu, Braiba and Anja in.

Once in Amasu greeted his father with warm hug while Anja and Braiba stood by the corner watching the father and son embrace each other.

Braiba couldn’t help but smile upon seeing Amasu hug his father Anja on the other hand couldn’t help but feel sad as he watched them hug as seeing them together reminded him of his parents and the fact that their minds were now lost to the forces of darkness.

“You’re alive” said a familiar voice.

They all then turned around to see the king who looked happy to see them they were all still alive.

Anja just glare at the king still blaming him for everything that had happen to their parents.

Braiba could sense Anja’s anger towards the king slowly began to rise and so she whispered to him softly, “I know you don’t like him but please control yourself before you create a storm fueled by your hatred alone”.

Anja upon hearing what his sister said took a deep breath and calmed down, not wanting to lost control of his powers because of his anger and create a storm.

“Why did you bring the king here of all places” asked Delamu after ending the hug between him and his son.

“I didn’t know where else to go, monsters are roaming the entire kingdom and I couldn’t risk being seen by them with the king” said Amasu.

“Alright then you did the right thing by coming here, at least we all will be safe here for a while. For now at least we can all rest” said Delamu.

“REST, may I remind you that are parents are still out there” said Anja angrily.

“And so are hundreds of beasts roaming the streets with a mad sorcerer who possesses the power of dark magic” said Delamu trying to get Anja to listen to reason but it seemed like Anja did not what to listen, all he wanted was to get to his parents and find a way to snap them out of the dark spell cast upon them.

“I DON’T CARE, ALL I WANT IS TO SEE MY PARENTS!!!” said Anja with his eyes glowing like lightning and his voice roaring like thunder.

The winds then began to blow ferociously around him with sparks of lighting flowing out of his body.

Everyone then took step back; away from Anja fearing his power in the distressed state he was in, all except Braiba who instead came closer to him, fighting against the powerful winds around her brother just too reach him.

And once Braiba was close enough to him she reached out her hand and grabbed him, pulling Anja in for a hug.

Braiba held on to her brother tightly, enduring the pain that came as the lightning that flow out of his body and winds blowing around him.

“It’s going to be okay Anja” whispered Braiba to Anja softly before she used her magic to calm Anja down.

As Anja calmed down his eyes stopped glowing, lightning stopped flowing out of his body and the wind stopped blowing.

Anja then closed his eyes and fell on Braiba’s arms.

Delamu, Amasu and king Atoni stood there watching Braiba who was now holding the sleeping Anja on her arms.

Braiba then turned to them and said, “He’ll be fine, he just needs to rest”.

“I can take him to my room, there he can rest properly” said Amasu.

“I’ll come with you” said Braiba.

Amasu could tell that both Braiba and Anja needed each other at that every moment so he had no objection to her accompanying him along with Anja where to his room asthey could rest.

“Come” said Amasu before he led Braiba who carried Anja on her arms to his room leaving Delamu alone with the king.

Once in Amasu’s room Braiba placed Anja on his bed.

Then Braiba took a small stool she found on the corner of the door and sat near the bed next to Anja.

She held his hands tightly and refused to let go of her brother.

She, at the very moment, couldn’t hold back the overwhelming emotions she felt race through her from the very moment she saw her parent in their corrupted state and so she began to cry with tears that flowed out like raging river.

As she cried she remembered the way her parents attacked her and Anja, even though she knew they only did that because they were corrupted by dark magic it still hurt her greatly to see her loving parents who had just her and Anja nothing but love and affection attack them that was enough to drive anyone to the edge much less children like her and Anja.

Braiba at that very moment felt broken and she didn’t know what to do.

Amasu felt bad for her as he watched her cry, they’ve all been through a lot that night but her and Anja had suffered for more than any of them.

She and her brother were attacked by their own parents; Amasu couldn’t even begin to imagine what she felt or even what she was going through.

Amasu watched up to her to console her but before he could say anything she got up and hugged him tightly with tears still falling down from her eyes.

Amasu didn’t mind the hug as he knew she needed it at that very moment so he didn’t push her away instead he held her close.

Slowly in the warmth of their embrace Braiba calmed down and drifted away to sleep.

Once Amasu noticed Braiba had fallen asleep on his arms he placed her on the bed next to her brother.

As he placed her on the bed Amasu couldn’t help but admire Braiba’s beauty.

He placed his hand on hers and smiled at her.

He then turned away from her about to leave only to be stopped by Braiba’s hand grabbing hold of his and refusing to let go.

“Please don’t go” whispered Braiba faintly but still it was enough for Amasu to hear.

Amasu then placed the stool next to the side of the bed where Braiba lied on and then sat down there next to her, holding her hand and refusing to let go.

Meanwhile outside Amasu’s room Delamu went to the fire place and start a small fire to bring some heat in to the house was consumed by the coldness of the night.

While Delamu was busy doing that the king stood in front the window and listening to the chaos from outside the house.

He then began to think about the Dark Sorcerer and how he was a product of the narrow minded thinking of his family.

He then thought about his daughter and hoped that she was safe and far away from the chaos in Buganbal, a chaos caused by his family.

The king sighed out of shame as he thought about how he was like his parents.

Both his mother and his father feared any form of power greater than their own and in the entire land there was not greater power than the magic that came from the mystical creatures.

The power of the mystical creatures were his parents greatest fear and whatever peace formed in Buganbal had with the mystical creature was created due to his parents’ fear of their magic.

The king sighed as he began to wonder if he was worse than his parents, his parents might have feared the mystical creatures but at least they were able to tolerate them he on the other hand didn’t just fear them he hated them and their power, seeing them like a threat to his people and his kingdom.

The king sighed once more as he began to relive every terrible mistake he had made against the mystical creatures.

Delamu after starting the fire noticed the king was lost deep in his thought as he stood by the window.

“Your majesty…” Delamu’s sentence was cut short by the king saying.

“Please don’t call me that, I have a name feel free to use it” said the king.

“But you are my king” said Delamu.

“I’m not king, I’m just a product of my parents idiotic and narrow mind set” said the king.

Delamu looked at the king with a confused expression on his face as he didn’t understand what the king was talking about.

“I’m sorry your maje…” Delamu was stopped by the king saying, “Delamu, please don’t, I do not deserve any title but the name I was given from birth” said the king.

“Alright, if it is your wish, Atoni what are you talking about” said Delamu.

“I and my family are the cause of this chaos. We sparked the fire that created the monster known as the Dark Sorcerer, he is a product of our fears and now he has come to burn everything to the ground with the fire he was created from” said the king.

“My…I mean Atoni, I still don’t understand” said Delamu.

The king just sighed before saying, “You don’t have to, all you have to know is everything that is happening is mine and my family’s fault and I do not speak with pride but with great shame of mine and the generation that came before me”.

Delamu just looked at the king confused by his words.

The king then turned to him and smiled.

“You are the most loyal person that has ever served me Delamu, even in the mist of all of this you still stand by my side and fight to protect me life. I thank you for this great gesture Delamu even though I know in my heart I don’t deserve it” said the king.

“Speak nothing of it my...I mean Atoni. I am but a loyal servant doing his master’s wishes” said Delamu.

“Yes but your master does not deserve your loyalty” said king Atoni.

Delamu then went to the king and stood next to him before asking him, “What is wrong Atoni. I’ve never seen you this way”.

“What do you expect, I’ve lost everything, my kingdom is as good as gone, the streets are soiled with the blood of me people who scream out of fear and horror before they die in the hands of those monstrous beasts and my daughter, I can only hope she is safe and far from this madness” said Atoni.

Delamu then sighed deeply understanding the king was no longer speaking as a king but a man what had lost everything.

“I will admit Atoni, you were not the best king and you, at times, made laws and decisions that I did not agree like the law that forced all the mystical creatures out of their homes in Buganbal but you made all those choices keeping the safety of Buganbal and your people in mind. You are not the best ruler in the world but are better than most tyrants who only crave power” said Delamu.

“Your words are kind but they can’t change the truth and the truth is I have to bear the blame for everything that is happening to my kingdom and my people” said the king with a deep sigh before he walked away and sat down on a chair next to the fire place.

Delamu wanted to try to console the king but he wasn’t sure how he could.

For some strange reason Delamu couldn’t understand the king blamed himself for everything that happened.

Delamu decide to let the king be alone, think that some time alone would be good for him and help him clear his troubled mind.

Delamu went to the portrait of his dead wife and sighed deeply before saying, “I’m scared my love, this evil is like nothing I’ve faced in my entire life. I just hope I’m strong enough to at least save our son if it is too late to me”.

Delamu then kissed his hand and placed it on the mouth of his wife’s picture.

“At least if I die my soul will be with yours in the place of death” said Delamu with a smile on his face as he thought about how the only good that may come if their situation were to grow much worse than what it already and he loses his life at least he would by untied with his dead love.

Delamu then took a deep breath in and a he breath out the air in house became cold and icy.

The fire in the fire place then died as the cold air blow around the house.

Delamu then brought out his sword ad rushed to the king knowing what the cold air meant.

“What is going on Delamu, why is it so cold” asked the king to Delamu.

Then powerful winds burst open the door and then Afini alongside Alaelra entered the house.

The king froze up in fear and horror upon seeing Afini and Alaelra.

“Stay behind me” said Delamu to the king.

Afini and Alaelra then approached them.

Delamu stood in front of the king ready to fight and defend the king with everything ounce of strength he could mutter.

As Afini and Alaelra came closer to them Delamu took a deep breath, summoning all his strength before charging straight to them with his sword.

Alaelra then stopped him with his magic before he could get too close and attack them with his sword.

Alaelra then used her magic to send him flying to the wall and create magic chain to restrain him and hold him in place on the wall.

Delamu struggled to free himself from the chains but the chains were too strong.

Afini and Alaelra then turned their attention to the king.

They approached the king who looked at them with look of fear and shame.

“If you must take me, take me but please spare my people” said the king as they reached out their hand to grab hold of him and take him to the Dark Sorcerer.

Alaelra and Afini upon hearing what the king stopped themselves from grabbing hold of the king.

Even though they were under a spell cast upon them by the dark magic of the Dark Sorcerer a part them still remained pure and uncorrupted by the dark magic and that pure part of them pitied the king at that very moment.

He lost everything and suffered tremendously in the hand of the Dark Sorcerer; even though he had caused them great pain by forcing them along with the other mystical creatures of Buganbal seeing him in the sad and broken state he was in was enough for Afini and Alaelra to forget about everything the king had done to them.

But the brief moment where Afini and Alaelra humanity and compassion over took the dark spell that controlled them passed and then they reverted back to being controlled by the dark magic of the Dark Sorcerer.

Afini and Alaelra then grabbed hold of the king with him bowing down his head in shame not trying to fight or resisting them.

The king had fully accepted that the Dark Sorcerer hatred and anger towards him and his family was just and that he willing to suffer death of torture in the hands of the Dark Sorcerer to pay for the deeds of himself and his family.

The only source of joy king had at that very moment was the thought that the Dark Sorcerer may have him but at least his daughter will live to redeem him and his entire family, she was the only hope he had to redeem his family and he was glad that at least she would be safe.

Afini and Alaelra were about to leave with the king, Delamu struggled to break free the magical chains that bonded him to the wall, screaming and shouting at the top of his lungs, “Don’t do this Afini and Alaelra!!!”.

Delamu pleads though loud fell on deaf ears as Afini and Alaelra just ignored him.

They had king and were about to leave but then a lightning bolt came out of nowhere and struck them, causing them to let go of the king.

Afini and Alaelra then turned around and saw none other than Anja and Braiba who had woken up upon sensing the dark magic within their parents.

Amasu was there as well, standing next to the young storm maker and sorcerer.

“Father” said Amasu upon seeing his father chained to the wall thanks to Alaelra magic.

Amasu then rushed to his father’s aid and by using his sword enchanted by Braiba’s magic he was able to break the magical chains that held his father to the wall.

“Are you okay?” asked Amasu with worry and concern for his father.

“I am son, thank you but how were you able to break chains made of magic with your sword” asked Amasu unable to believe his son broke the chains Alaelra made with her magic.

“It’s a long story father but to cut it all short my sword is enchanted by magic from her” said Amasu pointing at Braiba.

Braiba and Anja stared at their parents with look of fear and uncertainty as they were not sure how much of their parents were under the control of the Dark Sorcerer and how much was still their loving and caring parents that they loved with all their hearts.

“Amasu, get your father and the king and leave” said Anja.

“But…” Amasu was cut off by Anja looking at him with of seriousness and fear.

Amasu couldn’t find the words to argue or go against Anja’s command so he helped his father up and then rushed to the king, helping him from the ground and then running out the door along with them.

Afini and Alaelra tried to stop them from leave but Anja and Braiba their powers forcing Afini and Alaelra to have to battle their children, a battle neither them nor Anja and Braiba wanted to be a part of.

The entire house exploded with sparks of both magic and lighting erupting out of it and from the chaos and destruction Afini, Alaelra, Anja and Braiba emerged to continue their battle outside the house they had destroyed while battling.

Anja charged straight for his father, taking the form of lighting.

Afini did the same, charging straight for his son as well in the form of red lightning.

Afini and Anja collided in the form of lightning causing a massive roar of thunder to echo around them.

Their collision caused them to fly high up into the sky in the clouds above them where they continued their battle with the clouds erupting with lightning and roaring with each blow they delivered to each other.

Braiba and Alaelra continued their fight from down below, blasting each other with their magic.

Braiba was losing the fight as her mother was far more skilled and had more experience with her magic that she had because of this the battle was one side with Alaelra being the superior one besting and ultimately defeating Braiba.

Braiba was now on the ground, beaten and defeated by her mother.

Alaelra looked away from her child once she saw that she was defeated, not wanting to continue the fight against her own daughter but Braiba was not done and even though she had beaten and defeated she managed to find the strength to get up.

“Mother” said Braiba.

Alaelra froze upon hearing her daughter call her.

Braiba noticed her words had some kind of effect on her mother as she just stood there motionless.

Braiba then called out to her once again, “mother”.

This time though Alaelra’s shook her head upon hearing Braiba call out to her.

It seemed like every time Braiba spoke and called out to her mother the part of her that still loved her and was not corrupted by the Dark Sorcerer’s dark magic would try to respond to her calls.

Braiba saw that her mother was trying to break free from the Dark Sorcerer’s spell and so she approached to her. Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ FɪndNøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Mother” said Braiba softly.

But this time Alaelra responded to her calls by speaking faintly, “Brai…ba”.

Braiba smiled upon hearing her mother say her name, it proved to her that there was still a part of her that was not corrupted by the dark magic of the Dark Sorcerer.

Braiba then held on to her mother and turned her around, making Alaelra face her.

Braiba then used her magic to connect to her mother to give her the strength she needed to fight the dark spell cast upon her before finally opening her mouth to say once again, “mother”.

Upon hearing those words come from her daughter’s mouth a tear fell down from Alaelra’s eye.

“Braiba” said Alaelra with a voice of sadness.

Braiba then pulled her mother in to a tight hug.

Alaelra hesitated at first but then eventually hugged Braiba back.

As they embraced each other in that loving and warm hug Braiba’s magic grew and surrounded both her and her mother in the form of a ring of light that spun around them.

Braiba held on to her mother, using every ounce of magic she could mutter to try to free her mother from the dark spell, she was determined to bring her mother back to her at any and all cost even that meant using every single ounce of magic she had.

The ring spun and spun, growing in size as it did until it turned into a ball that consumed but Braiba and Alaelra in it.

The ball grew and grew until it exploded with a massive bang.

Braiba fell down on her knees, weaken and drained.

She looked at her mother who stood next to her standing still.

“Mother” said Braiba fearing that she could not free her mother from the dark spell.

Alaelra then turned to look Braiba, eyes no longer red due to the corruptive dark magic of the Dark Sorcerer and a warm smile on her face.

“You did my child, you freed me” said Alaelra.

Braiba did it; she freed her mother from the dark spell casted upon her by the Dark Sorcerer.

“Mother” said Braiba with tears falling down from her eyes.

Braiba tried to find the strength to get up and hug her mother but she was to weak get up.

Alaelra saw that Braiba was trying to get up and so she helped her up.

Braiba then hugged her mother tightly.

“I was so scared; I thought you and father were…” Braiba could not bring herself to finish her sentence as tear began to fall down from her eyes but Alaelra understood what she was about to say but couldn’t as it was too hard and painful for her to put it in to words.

“It’s okay, everything will be alright” said Alaelra consoling her daughter as she continued to cry.

The battle between Anja and Afini continued high up in clouds in the sky with sparks of lightning and the roar of thunder emanating from the clouds as they fought.

With a massive roar of thunder and lightning from the sky, Afini in the form of red lightning and Anja in the form of blue lightning fell down from the clouds and straight to the ground.

Afini and Anja then reverted back to their normal forms with Anja on the ground and Afini above him with a foot on Anja’s chest.

Anja’s mouth then began to glow red with smoke coming out of it before red hot flames erupted out of his mouth and straight on to Afini’s face burning part of it.

The flames that spewed out of Anja’s mouth caused Afini to fall down to the ground.

Anja then got up, seeing this as the perfect opportunity to strike his father down.

He raised his arm, aiming it for Afini with sparks of lightning flowing through it, he then tightened his fist about strike his father who was still down on the ground with a lightning bolt.

But before Anja could attack he looked in to his father’s eyes and saw the man that loved and care for him, the man that raised him, the man that was his father within them.

His arm began to shake uncontrollably as memories of the times he and his father shared together flashing in mind.

Anja then lowered his arm down and fell to his knees with tears falling down from his eyes.

He couldn’t do it, he couldn’t bring himself to strike his father; he loved him too much to do so.

Afini slowly got up and saw Anja on his knees crying.

Afini then approached Anja.

Anja seeing his father approach him did not try to move or fight, simple remained there on his knees with tears falling down from his eyes.

Afini reach Anja, raised his hand and aimed it at him.

With sparks of lightning flowing through Afini’s arm Anja knew what he was about to do but still he did not move, he remained on his knees as did not wish to fight his father anymore.

Afini was about to attack and strike Anja with a lightning bolt but before he could Anja raised his head and looked him in the eye before saying, “Please father”.

Anja spoke to his father with those words, pleading for him to break free from the Dark Sorcerer’s spell and come back to him.

Afini upon hearing what his son said brought down his raised arm with the sparks of lightning disappearing as he did so.

Anja just looked at Afini with disbelief, he spoke to him and he listened despite being under the control of dark magic.

“Father” said Anja wanting to see if Afini would respond to his call.

“A…Anja” said Afini, responding to his son’s call.

Anja smiled upon hearing him speak his name as it gave him hope that his father was still there, despite being corrupted by the dark Sorcerer.

“Father” said Anja as he rushed to him and hugged him.

“You’re still in there; now please fight this evil spell. Please do it for me and Braiba, we can’t bear to see you and mother this way” said Anja.

“A…nja,Brai…ba” said Afini as he struggled to say his children’s name.

Sparks of red and blue lightning then began to flow out of Afini’s body with him screaming uncontrollably like a mad man.

Anja took a few steps back away from his father as he watched him in horror as he screamed with the red and blue lightning flowing out of his body.

Afini was trying to fight against the spell placed upon him, being reminded of who he was by his son.

“ANJA!!!!” screamed a familiar voice.

“Mother” said Anja as he turned around and saw both Braiba and Alaelra approach him.

“Mother, you broke the spell but how?” asked Anja with a smile, shocked and pleased to see that his mother was back to her senses and free from the dark spell of the Dark Sorcerer.

“Braiba used her magic to bring me back to the right state of mind but I’m afraid that by doing so it left her weakened and drained of all her strength” said Alaelra.

Anja then looked at his sister and the weakened state she was in.

“I’m you okay but what is wrong with father” asked Braiba pointing at their father who was still screaming with red and blue lighting flowing through his body.

“I’m not sure, I tried talking to him, he responded and then he started screaming with red and blue lightning flowing out of him” said Anja.

“He’s trying to free himself from the Dark Sorcerer’s control but the dark magic is too strong and it’s refusing to free him from its control. I fear if this continues he might…” Alaelra stopped herself from completing her sentence, not wanting to tell her children that their father might die if he could not break free from the dark spell placed upon him.

Afini’s screams grew louder and louder eventually turning into a massive thunder like roar that caused the ground around him to quake and crack apart.

Alaelra knew she had to do something otherwise the man she loved would soon be dead.

She then, without much of a thought in her mind reached to her husband’s side.

“Mother” said Anja wanting to chase after her but Braiba stopped him by holding his hand.

“Don’t, our mother knows what she doing. She is the only one who can save father” said Braiba.

Anja then sighed, hoping Braiba was right.

Once Alaelra reached Afini she screamed at him, saying, “AFINI!!!”

Afini then stopped screaming and then turned to look at Alaelra.

“Al…Alaelra” said Afini.

Alaelra smiled at him upon hearing him say her name.

She then went to him and place her hand on his cheeks with sparks lightning still flowing through his entire body but the lightning sparks didn’t seem hurt her.

Afini closed his eyes with a tear falling down from his eyes.

“Help me” whispered Afini softly.

Alaelra then wiped away his tears with her hand and then kissed him.

As they kissed magic and lightning surrounded them forming a ring around them that grew and grew, forming a ball that consumed them both.

“What’s going on?” asked Anja confused and unable to understand what was happening as he watched the ball consume his parents.

Braiba said nothing and just watched, knowing what was happening.

The ball grew and grew before finally exploding with a massive bang.

Anja and Braiba then approached patch of dust and smoke, seeing faintly a figure standing in the very center of it.

As they came closer they saw that the figure was not just one but two, their parent, holding each other so close that it seemed like they were one, kissing each other passionately with their father now free from the dark spell placed upon him.

Anja was pleased to see that whatever his mother did worked and his father was now back so was Braiba.

After a few moments of Afini and Braiba kissing each other they stopped with Afini having a smile on his face.

“You have a bad habit of bring me back to my senses” said Afini to Alaelra.

“And you have a bad habit of losing your senses” said Alaelra as she kissed him on his cheek.

“That’s only because I have you to bring me back to my senses” said Afini.

At this moment Anja cleared his throat, knowing that if he allowed his parents to continue to talk to each other so lovingly they would never stop.

Afini and Braiba then turned to their children.

“Anja, Braiba” said Afini with a smile on his face before Anja and Braiba rush to both their parents and hugged them both tightly.

Afini and Alaelra smiled before hugging their children back in a warm and loving embrace.

Meanwhile, as Afini and Alaelra embraced their children the Dark Sorcerer sighed from the castle sensing the both of them were now free from his spell.

“It seems like the age old saying is true, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself” said the Dark Sorcerer be summoned his beast to his side.

“Come along my pet” said the Dark Sorcerer as climbed on to his Black Death Beast and rode away, leaving the castle to finish what his started.
