“Go get ready, We’re going to see the Shadow Coven today.” Abby squealed happily and ran inside. “Meet me at the gates in 10 minutes!” I called after the two. I smiled as they ran into the castle to get ready to go. Ethan put his arm around my shoulder and we walked into the castle. “Are you sure you can’t come with us?” I asked him. He nodded. “Yes, I have to help my parents decide what girls to bring to Zach’s choosing.” He said. Oh yeah, now that Ethan’s choosing is over, it’s Zach’s turn. When we reached the room, Ethan kissed my forehead and was of to meet his father.

“Can you send Marie to me please?” I asked the guard. He nodded and I walked back into my bedroom. I grabbed a bag from the closet and put in a swim suit for Abby and Jake. Knowing that they didn’t pack one for themselves. I quickly changed into my zebra print bikini top and bottoms and slipped on my tank top and shorts. I heard my door open and Marie walked inside. She set a bag of supplies on my bed.

“Here are all the things you need for today.” She said. I smiled at her. “Thank you Marie.” She nodded and walked out of the room. I put the supplies in my bag and made my way out of the room. I slung the bag over my shoulder. I walked out of the castle where Abby and Jake where waiting for me.

“Ready to see some mermaids?” I asked. “Yes oh my gosh!” Abby exclaimed. I laughed and we got into the waiting car. “Now the car can’t take s the whole way there, it takes us to the edge of the woods and we walked about a half a mile to the coven.” I said. Abby was bouncing with excitement. I laughed slightly and watched as Engor passed by. When the car stopped we all got out.

“I’ll be here waiting until you get back.” The driver said. I nodded and thanked him. We started to walk through the woods. After about ten minutes of walking Jake started to complain.

“Snow, are we there yet?” He whined. I laughed. “No Jake, but, we’re almost there.” I said. Ten minutes later we reached the lagoon where the Shadow Coven lives. I took off the bag and opened it, I tossed Abby and Jake their bathing suits.

“Hurry change into these.” I said. The both nodded and ventured off into the woods to change. I sighed and took off my tank top and shorts and put them in the bag. Abby came out of the woods first, soon followed by Jake. They put their clothes in the bag and I zipped it shut. I stood back up and faced the water,

“So how what are we supposed to do now?” Jake asked. I looked at them, they did not know the real reason I had to visit the Shadow Coven. I had to deliver something to Arista, they are in the middle of a battle with the Moonlight Coven, and they need more supplies. I zipped open the smaller compartment of the backpack and pulled out two blue crystals. I handed one to both of them,

“Wear these.” They put them on, “When you come in contact with the water, you will become a mermaid.” I said. “What about you?” Abby asked. “Well I’m a shifter, and I control water, so I’ll be fine.” I said. She nodded. I shifted so I had the tail of a mermaid. It was covered it black scales. I grabbed my bag, “Time to go.” I slipped into the water and waited for them. Abby and Jake cannon balled into the water. I went under the water and watched as they transformed. Abby’s tail was covered in pink scales, there was a seashell crown on her head and one to match on her wrist. Jake’s tail had green scales.

“Oh my gosh, this is awesome!” Abby happily swam around the water. I laughed, “Well we have to go, follow me, and what ever you do, don’t wander away.” They nodded and we began to swim through the water at a fast past.

“You there, stop!” I heard a male voice and we stopped swimming. A mermen swam up to us. His fin was covered in covered in dark green scales, they stopped just in the middle of his torso, then they started again at his neck travailing just under his chin. His hair was covered by a helmet, his left hand was resting on the butt of his sword. I guess his was one of the guards.

“Who are you, and what is your business here?” He asked. I swam forward a little and placed my hand on my chest. “I’m Snow, I come from the castle of Engor, I brought supplies for Arista and the rest of your coven.” I said. He nodded toward Abby and Jake, “And who are they?” He asked. “These are my friends Abby and Jake.” He nodded. “Follow me, Arista has been waiting for these supplies.” He said. I nodded and we started to where the coven stays. When we entered the mermaids stared and whispered as we swam by. We entered the largest cave and the guards opened the largest door. When we swam inside I saw Arista pacing, well swimming and pacing around the cave.

“Your highness, the princess is here.” The guard said. Arista turned, when her eyes landed on me, she smiled widely and swam toward me. When she reached me, she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. I guess she did remember me. I laughed and hugged her back. When we pulled apart she laughed again.

“It’s good to see you again Snow, or should I say Princess Snow.” She joked. “You know about that?” I asked. She nodded, “Of course, everyone knows, you think news that big wouldn’t spread?” She asked. I laughed,

“So what brings you here?” She asked. I took off my back back and pulled out a blue box, I looked at it before handing it to her.

“Here are you supplies.” I said. She took the box from me and smiled, she swam close to me and whispered in my ear,

“Is the Dragon force in here?” She asked. I nodded, She smiled and hid the box. I swam over to Abby and Jake,

“Arista, these are my two best friends, Abby and Jake, guys, this is Arista leader of the Shadow Coven.” Arista came over and shook both of their hands. One of Arista’s guards burst into the room.

“My lady, the Moonlight Coven is attacking!” He yelled. “Damn, when will this war end? Snow, will you help?” She asked. I nodded. I turned to Abby and Jake,

“You two must stay here. Don’t come out until someone comes to get you.” I said. They nodded and me and Arista left the room. I watched in horror as the mermaids living in the Shadow Coven screamed and swam away from the warriors from the Moonlight Coven. Arista growled beside me,

“They will pay for this!” She pulled her sword out of its sheath and held it out in front of her. She looked at me, “Ready?” She asked. I smirked and nodded. I don’t like using weapons, I prefer using my magic.

“Arista Blazegale!” I looked up and a mermaid was swimming toward us at a fast pace. Her fin was larger then Arista’s and had bright pink scales. Her long blonde hair floated around her head, she a bronze circlet on her forehead, in the middle was a bright green emerald.

“Violet Femalla, call off your warriors.” Arista ordered. Violet laughed, “They will leave when you give me back what is mine!” I heard a scream behind me, I turned around and one of the Moonlight Coven, had a little girl by the arm. The girl was trying to get away, but he kept his grip. I quickly swam toward the two,

“Leave her alone!” I said. He turned and laughed loudly. “And who are you to make me?” He asked. I circled my hands in front of me, I threw my hands out in front of me, the water surged in front me, and when it reached him, it turned to ice and froze his tail. Unable to swim, he slowly sank to the floor of the water. I wrapped my arms around the little girl and quickly swam away. I had to get this girl away from this fight.

I felt something wrap around my tail and I was jerked, I was being pulled downward. When I looked down, the merman from earlier was pulling me down with a rope. I looked back at the girl,

“Go to Arista’s cave, my friends are there, tell Abby that Snow sent you.” She nodded and swam off. I bent down and grabbed the rope, I made an attempt to freeze it, but it wasn’t working. What the hell? What wasn’t it freezing? I heard a laugh and when I looked up, there was a mermaid, her hands out in front of her. She must be controlling the water around me. After thinking, I did the only thing I thought would work. I concentrated and I felt felt tail shift back and I had my legs again. I kicked away the rope and quickly swam away. I wasn’t swimming as fast as I was before, but it helped. I quickly swam into Arista’s cave, Abby and Jake were still there, as was the little girl.

“Snow, what happened? Where’s your tail?” Abby asked. “Don’t worry about it, just stay here.” I went over to the box I gave Arista and opened it, pulling out the Dragon force. I looked at the chain that was in my hand, I knew what I had to do. I swam out of the cave and looked around for Arista. She saw that I had the Dragon force and nodded, she mouthed the words, ‘do it.’ I threw the Dragon force above me and quickly froze the water, turning in into a bow and arrow. I aimed and when I knew it would hit the chain, I let loose the arrow and watched as it hit it.

Every thing slowed as the chain broke, water flew away and the chain was surrounded in it own little air bubble. All movements came to a stop when the chain finally exploded. Smoke erupted from it and it circled around me. I took shape and finally, I was staring in the eyes of a water dragon. It was long and slim, it had the shape of an over sized snake, he was about as long as a school bus. It was covered in blue scales, it’s long legs ended with long pointed claws. At the top of its head, were longer scales, making it look like it had hair. And in the middle of his forehead, was a red jewel.

“Are you the one that awakened me?” I heard its deep voice inside my head. I nodded and looked around, everything was frozen around me, even the fighting mermaids. “You are the dragon hidden within the dragon force?” I asked. “Yes, why have you summoned me my child?” He asked. I held up both of my arms,

“The Shadow Coven, if being violently attacked by the Moonlight Coven, I fear for their safety, I beg of you, please help them.” I pleaded. The dragon circled around me, “Tell me my child, who are the leaders of the covens?” He asked. I looked over and saw Arista and Violet, frozen in the middle of attack.

“Them, Arista is the leader of the Shadow Coven, and Violet, leader of the Moonlight Coven.” The dragon nodded and quickly circled around them. They started to move again, when they looked and noticed everyone else around them. They looked up towards me and the dragon who wrapped itself around me, as if to protect me.

“Why have you two disrupted the peace here?” The dragon asked. The two looked at each other then back to the dragon, as if thinking of what to say. I have to say, he is pretty intimidating, what is he planning on doing?
