Despite Eric’s hopes for a mate that would meet his expectations, what he got was a worthless Omega, she couldn’t be Luna because she didn’t have a pedigree.

His dream mate would be Courtney, the Alpha pack’s next-door daughter, who was intelligent, beautiful, and selfless, something he knew from dating her a few years before she found her mate.

She mated another wolf, and he was the beta from her pack, Eric was disappointed, since he and she were both the same age. He turned eighteen a week before her, but he had not seen her in a while. He thought when they met again, she would’ve been his mate, but now he knew that wasn’t going to happen.

Having been heartbroken, Eric went for a run in the woods when he smelt a wonderful smell. It was the smell of blueberries mixed with raspberries, his favorite fruits. The smell led him to a small cottage at the edge of their pack ground, where a young girl around fifteen lived, who he had seen at school when she was in the first year of high school.

She couldn’t be his mate because she was an omega and came from a poor family, what would the others think? They wouldn’t respect her. In addition, he had to wait three more years until she reached breeding age in order to mate her.

With annoyance, he growled, what is he going to do now? Luckily, she will not recognize him, yet she is too young to recognize him.

Eric would take advantage of that to figure what to do with her, as the days passed, he still didn’t know what to do his wolf would argue with him that he wanted his mate when the time came that he didn’t care she was an omega, Eric would shut him down putting a barrier between them he didn’t want to listen to his annoying wolf.

A month passed and Eric was thinking in vanishing, Aly from the pack that way she wouldn’t recognize him as a mate when she reached eighteen, yes that was the best option, but on the day, he decided to do that he heard a rumor that the beta from the next-door pack had passed away that a rouge had killed him.

He couldn’t believe the news that Courtney was free again he could go and give her comfort than maybe he could mate her and have a worthy mate, but Aly was still in the picture if he just banished her from the pack she would still be around, and his wolf might force him to look for her.

He had to make a drastic decision: he had to take care of Aly in another way she had to vanish from this life.

Aly was running late for her first class; her small house was far from the school thus she couldn’t arrive at the time she was supposed to. She looked at him with wide eyes. What did alpha Eric want with her? Did she do something bad, she tried to keep out of trouble she had enough with the others bullying her for being a low-class omega.

Before she could say a word Eric said first “Hi, Aly I would like to have a word with you today if you are available” Aly couldn’t understand what was happening, the alpha wanted to talk with her, and he knew who she was and her name.

Aly thought that the alpha knowing her name it wouldn’t be a bad idea to speak with him it couldn’t be bad right.

She agreed “yes alpha what time would you like us to meet” Eric stared at her coldly she was naive that could work in his favor “at midnight near the twisted tree you do know where it is.”
