“What” Aly said startled by his words “Why are you doing this I have not done anything wrong I have been nice to everyone in this pack.”

“Yes, Aly you are a nice girl the problem is the moon goddess chose you as my mate and I can’t have a low omega as my luna. This is the only way I can get rid of you without feeling much pain.”

Aly couldn’t stand the pain anymore falling to the ground. The pain of breaking the pack bond hurt a lot but when he told her she was his mate it broke her more, he didn’t want her.

What she didn’t expect was that while she was on her knees, he took a knife out of his pocket and in one swift move he sliced her throat, without her wolf to heal her she choked on her blood in front of him.

Seeing her dying there he felt pain in his chest he just killed his mate, he fell on his knees as well the pain consumed him making him fall into darkness when he woke up, he was laying on the ground next to Alys lifeless body.

He didn’t overthink things. What was done was for the better good, he thought. He started to dig a hole with his claws close to the base of the twisted tree; no one would find her body there; his pack mates were scared to go near that tree; they said it was cursed.

Eric’s wolf was mourning his mate, but Eric didn’t pay attention to him. He would get over it, now he had to make a rumor of Aly that she ran away with a guy she met at school that was older than her that way no one would look for her.

His wolf Simon didn’t speak to him for a week, he was mourning his mate and didn’t want to deal with his stupid human, he knew what this man’s plan was, but he would do his best to make him miserable for the rest of his life he killed his mate the one made for him, and he will pay.

Eric waited for a couple of weeks before he went looking for the next-door alpha's daughter. He didn’t want to seem desperate. He also wanted to give her some time to grieve her mate; he didn’t want her to feel pressured by him.

He called alpha Ulises Courtneys father to inform him he would go to his pack to visit. Alpha Ulises was surprised to hear Eric was going to visit his pack but happy because he would try to form a truce with him.

Alpha Ulisses informed his pack members that they would have a visitor and they should prepare a feast as a welcome to Alpha Eric. He went to his daughter’s chamber to let her know they would have visitors; she hasn’t left her side of the wing since her mate’s death.

He knocked on her bedroom door. Courtney opened the door to see who it was. She had lost weight, there were dark circles under her eyes, her pale skin looked paler as if she was sick, and her hair looked lifeless.

“Hi father, what can I help you with?” she said in a low voice, her father has been very supportive of her and has tried to help her the best he can, but she and her wolf are to hurt to continue with life she wants to join her mate.

“We are having a visitor tonight, maybe he could help you feel better. I know you had a relationship with him before you found Marcus” her father says with hope in his eyes he wants to see his daughter happy again.

“I know you feel it’s too soon, but you need to be strong, life continues, Marcus wouldn’t want to see you wither in pain, you will be with him again but it’s not your time yet.”

“I know father I will be down there when he arrives, and I hope you are right” with that her father leaves her wing with hopes of seeing his daughter smile once again.
